Happy Easter Everyone - My kids will be finding out about this trip shortly via the Easter egg hunt so then they will be able to participate in the kids emails. My 9 yr old, Sophia is the most apprehensive about the kids club, so maybe if she "meets" other kids beforehand she'll be more eager. She is very shy and artsy and usually feels sort of left out.(My boys have autism and we usually bring their aides with us on our trips). This time we're only bringing their nanny and uncle, keeping it in the family!

As far as airfare goes, anybody else flying Aerlingus? Of course, the flight we booked has dropped considerably and since we bought 8 tickets, could have been more espresso martinis on board, but they don't credit you back after payment. That's okay, can't wait to sail away!!

So how did it go!!!!!!! We wanna know! :surfweb: :rolleyes1 popcorn::

I was just looking at pictures of the Deck 7 secret deck. There doesn't appear to be any tables. I agree that it would be a neat place that won't be filled up with a bunch of other groups. However, I'm wondering if it will be difficult to play games out there. Any suggestions on this?

Are You Postivie You Want To Know?

Really Really Postive?

Are You Srue?
It was a surprise for the first person, because they didn't expect it. It's not really a "surprise" for the rest of us anymore. So yes, please tell us what to expect.

Cupcake's mom here. I am not very good at this, and this is my first post! Hello officially to everyone.

Hey Ruth!!! Right now we are down the hall from you!!! (assuming are staying near Cupcake/Cynthia!!)

Welcome, some of the rest of us haven't been here long either. I think you will really find the people friendly and helpful. I'm glad you have the opportunity to come with us!

Happy Easter to All that celebrate!! Didn't do any cruise stuff today:eek: . We had three egg hunts today: home, church, and in-law's. Fun was had by all and far too many jelly beans have been consumed:rotfl2:

:welcome: to all the newcomers! It is great that new people are jumping on board and that some of you have talked more people into joining us! It is going to be a really neat group, I think.

I must admit to being nervous about being on an itty bitty boat in the giant ocean. It is one thing to have trouble sailing among the islands or along the coast, quite another in the middle of the ocean .... ok self, stop thinking about this and focus on fun stuff ... Stargazing! Yes, that sounds awesome!

Eric: you have my sympathy on your hard drive crash. Our HD crashed about a year a go too. To lose the data was annoying, but the to lose the pictures was awful. Definitely get your system set up to do a nightly backup and back up the pictures onto CD/DVD's also.

Eric again: We ate dinner one night at Boma at AKL last month and loved it! Definitely give it a try. Jiko looked good too, but I liked the option of tasting lots of different things at Boma - Yum!

Laura: you are a good teacher. :teacher:

Scoobybop - are you taking bookings? Perhaps you could do a DIScount for those of us that can't make the spa. Probably could pay for your cruise pretty quickly. :)

Ha ha! When I'm on vacation, I'm not doing ANY work, I'm going to be GETTING the massages, not GIVING! But nice try! ;)

Happy Easter everyone!

Plus, somewhere in the back of my daydreams as I do massages in a dimly lit, quiet room all day, I dream of running the spa on one of the new Disney ships I am a dream maker! We will sit down and talk about how to make all your dreams come true. Because it is absolutely possible!!:wizard:

Really? We will DEFINITELY be having a conversation on board! :woohoo:

Anyone know if there is a place where I can practice my piano or are the pianos verboten? I can't imagine two weeks w/o a piano. I may go through withdrawals.:scared1:

There is a full grand piano in the Jazz type bar - not sure of the name off hand - head toward the clubs and stay to the left - it is at the end of the hall.

I highly recommend checking out the FAQ on the disABILITIES page in terms of the various options. If you want to PM me, I can try to offer some thoughts as well. I have extra bones in my feet and thus are very familiar with all of the options and the pros and cons of the various things you can do, since it's that or sit on a bench all day. I am a Walker ECV fan for WDW. Knowing only that you are staying at the ALK in May, I wonder if an offsite ECV is the best option. If not, I recommend an offsite wc rental instead of the resort or park wcs. Offsite EVCs are 3-wheels and are way more comfortable and easy to drive (plus less expensive) than the park ECVs. The offiste wcs are super reasonable if someone want to push, and your mom doesn't want the extra independence of an ECV, and I am guessing she will be more comfortable in the larger option wc (which she likely cannot get at the parks or resorts, they go quickly). They look the same to the casual observer, but I think she will be much happier, and for someone who's older, they are also much better for the back than the WDW ones. I'm glad your parents are going with you both! Hoping for a magical trip, and do not hesitate to PM me -- I'd love to try to help your mom enjoy her trip even more, and it can be challenging to figure out the best plan for mobility issues.

I like the idea of having an area to hang out in and to strike up games. Someone had posted ealier that they liked Spades. I LOVE Spades. I haven't played in years, of course and I can't keep things in my head anymore -- they leak out -- but I'm sure I'd remember with I few reminders!

I like to play games, but I haven't commited to any just yet because I don't know what I'm going to "feel" like doing on the ship. I have my morning planned. Do my Bible studies first thing, then workout, clean up, then breakfast, but after that I was planning on doing whatever feels good. And that could be sitting by the pool (drink in hand - and yes, I do realize that might be 9am! :rotfl: ) reading or quilting. Or it might be doing the wine tasting or Martinis, I think someone said. Or it might be hanging out with the kids or all of you.

Having a common area would be great! Although it's been too long since I've been on the ship to suggest or say yea or nea (?) to a place.
;)

Lori

Hey Lori - my daughter enjoys talking to David but she has been busy with school. I think they are meeting by the pizza stand. I am also bringing my Bible and hoping to work out, so if you need a buddy - I am there. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It went by way too fast, but I did take Darrell cruise shopping and that was successful.
