Thanks for the Epcot update, Nanaguide. We love the flower show.

Hey Pat, they also have those cool baskets you can order. Go to the gifts onboard section of Disneycruise.com – OK ready further after I wrote this, the baskets have been mentioned.

Also, if you are going to WDW (can’t remember who is going and who isn’t), but Zoe and I got a little crystal square paper weight picture made for his birthday. It only takes three hours if you can figure out which store to have it made in. I can find out from CA Adv. If you are interested.

Good job, Jasonroo!!

Welcome to the family, HoagiePie & hksilverfox

Jennifer: OUCH and UGLY – I saw the picture and I still don’t know what a man of war is????? Is it a squid or jelly fish????

Debbie: we sent that fog, but we are sending some sunshine too!

Scott: you guys make a lot of good food, I’m coming over!!

Also if you or anyone has a similar experience with jellyfish etc… vinegar rinse is the best, avoid fresh water ( it makes the nemocytes fire, causing the sing) the nurse was right on for after care. Iniatially, One can also scrape the affected area with a credit card to remove the tentacles, don’t touch them, glove up if ya can, and be careful in taking off the gloves, I teach First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries for Divers Alert Network…

Once again, Scott, is there anything you DON’T DO?[/

The travel channel is re-running the show "World Odysseys: Spain (Andalusia)". I have seen this show. It shows the dancing horses. It is on Friday, March 30 at 9:00AM (et/pt).

Gotta bring the spynoculars.... always do.

Well just read DCL will be updating the musical they are adding tumon and pumbaa to the show, and a lot more suprises.they said it will premier for the med cruise not sure if the repro is included or not. hope so....:cool1: pirate:

It is a beautiful day!! I made my door sign last night and my fish extender. My DH thinks I've lost it. He said, "Are we going to hang our shoes outside our cabin?" He just doesn't understand. Thanks for suggesting the Dollar store. I also found lots of Disney stickers there to decorate it. I got the suitcases out this morning . DH just rolled his eyes. This is FUN:cool1:
For those of you using Disney transportation to the Cape I'm sure you'll be on the new porthole buses - they look awesome! I'm seeing them a lot on property. Eyes and Ears (Disney newsletter) had an article about the new changes in the ship shows. They will start on the Magic on our Repo cruise. The changes sound exciting. Hope they have awesome entertainment like they had on the PC cruise and good cooking classes. I learned so much about vinegar on the PC cruise but they didn't say to use it on a "Man of War" bite. This thread is not only fun, entertaining, but educational. Thanks for sharing.:flower3: :flower3:

Westland?! Wow, we are close. Can't wait to meet you and everyone in Florida. If it hasn't been mentioned before - for those of you that haven't cruised with DCL yet, get ready to get blown away. Maybe we should start a support group to deal with the after cruise depression. BTW - I talked to DCL the other day and the lady was so nice - she said "You won't be bored at sea - they have lots of surprises planned for all of you!" I can't wait!!!!!

We just returned from our 3/4 Land & Sea. We saw the 3/21 premiere of the Disney Dreams: Enchanted Classic on the Wonder. It was Excellent!!! Timon & Pumba are great and there are lots of new special effects stuff. Very Kewl, as Scott says.

We did rebook for a dummy date while onboard (hopefully to sail in 2009), but did not rebook the May repo:sad2: . As much as I want to get back on this cruise, it just isn't going to happen this time. Everytime I think I can rationalize it, something else pops up. Latest is DD11's honor choir was selected to perform at Disneyland - date is not yet set, but will be sometime in the last two weeks of May. I/she could not nor would not want to miss this. You all are going to have such an incredibly fabulous journey. I will live it vicariously through your trip reports. :surfweb:

Hello All,

I know this is obvious to those of us who travel a lot, but for some people it can really take them off gaurd--and we have a bunch of new people who may have missed the brief discussion we had on this tpic previously so I am repeating a bit of easy to overlook info about passports here:

Here is a quote pertaning to U.S. citizens form the DCL website:
"Mediterranean Cruises
All Guests claiming United States citizenship, including children, must provide a valid, unexpired United States passport. Passports must be valid at least six months after the sailing has ended. Copies of passports are not acceptable."

Notice the 6 month rule. I have run into many people who do not know this is the case for visiting most countries. For all of us transatlantic cruisers this means your passport MUST be valid until November 26, 2007 (or later). I have seen people denied boarding of a plane for this reason and I imagine it would be the case at the terminal as well. If you need to renew you'll need to hurry.

Hopefully nonone in this thread will need to run out and do an expidited renewal, but I thought I would throw this out there so no one got denied boarding (I cannot imagine the heartbreak THAT would be).

BTW - I talked to DCL the other day and the lady was so nice - she said "You won't be bored at sea - they have lots of surprises planned for all of you!" I can't wait!!!!!

WOO HOOO----this is what I want to hear!

:dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Welcome to all the new people!
This cruise is NOT going to be BORING! I think it will be great to ve on the ocean. My husband and I have always wanted to cross the Atlantic!

I've been sewing all day today. Makine Tissue Box covers and pillows and baby quilts to sell at our fundraiser next SAturday to make money for our Relay for Life Team. Fun! Here's one of the tissue Box covers, it has an Easter theme.

Well another active weekend on the boards. It seems the closer we get to this trip the chattier everyone gets....and we're STILL seeing newbies join us......so....
:welcome:
....to all our new folks. (And kudos :thumbsup2 to our aggressive recruiters....I notice that both Deb and Hadley seem to be finding our "strays" out there in the world of the Dis and bringing them into the fold....YIPPEE!!!)

So tons to respond to.....here goes.....

**To those who have responded to our anniversary story....THANKS! It's certainly my favorite 'disney magical moment' to date...and one of my favorite stories!

**Did I see someone else from Michigan has joined us? My family is from Michigan (originally...then moved all over with the military and then that's where my parents also retired). My parents live in the U.P.

**Obviously some good news, some sad news, and some scary news from our group over the past few days. Let's hope that as the trip gets closer we have a stronger ratio of the GOOD.

**Now I haven't been quick to judge on here....but some of you need medication or something. Go to Orlando and NOT go to DisneyWorld? THAT IS CRAZY TALK!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can't even go to FLORIDA without going to the World much less right to Orlando. I feel certain that if I was that close and didn't get to step into Cinderella's Castle or ride the Kiliminjaro Safaris that my body would start to convulse and I'd go into some sort of terrible withdrawal!! :lmao:

Well that's all for now......I'm going to lay back down. I hurt my back in gymnastics this weekend so I've been laying around alternating ice and heat, taking lots of motrin (oh what I wouldn't do for a stronger pain killer or muscle med this afternoon!!!) and soaking in our jaccuzzi tub. GRRRR!

:tigger:
Erik

That's how I'm feeling -CRAZY- I'm not going to WDW, I'm going to the Nick hotel! What's the problem??? TV and a 5yo. He's been brainwashed by the commercials! I am trying to go earlier but my DD can't leave her dogs for any longer than she already is. But I'm still trying!

It IS terrible not going to the parks. But, we can only get so much vacation time for David in a block. It would not be cost effective to purchase one day tickets for four for a day when we can't even get there until 2:00 (and OMG which park would we choose? We are firm believers in spending 7-10 days at the parks on a trip). But we will spend as much time on proprty as we can. Whispering Canyon Cafe and OKW wine and cheese party here we come! I really wish there was a special party (like MVMCP or Pirates and Princesses) as we would go and enjoy at least the one park.

Erik--sorry about your back. David has a lot of back problems (you tall men are crused that way) and we got het hot tub just for that reason. It helps lots, but once every month or two Vicaden is the only way to get through.

Sorry to hear abotu your back Erik, but as my loving DW would say if I did something like that, "You do realize that you are not 16 any more don't you. you just can't keep up with the kids any more...... Of course I would respond yes dear and keep on trying to keep up.

Oh trust me, going to Florida and not getting to see WDW again after such a long time away is not going to be easy but I am with Hadley on this one. By the time we get to the park it will be mid afternoon and with us getting up at 4:00AM to get to the airport in the morning, it is going to be a long enough day as it is. Just going to relax, was thinking about hitting the beach until we read about the Man of War, hope she is ok, now we think we might just hang by the pool and relax.

Cheers!!

Pat

Thanks for all the warm wishes for DD. She is feeling better, but her fingers are still sore. I didn't realize the Man of War zapped her leg, too. You can actually see tenticle marks on her left leg. She was complaining of her leg hurting but I thought she meant her sunburn.(oops!)

For those of you wondering, a Man of War is a type of Jellyfish. If you Google "Man of War" you will get a lot of info...

Since we are talking about animal life, I thought I'd pass on a few more...

and a boar who searches for food about 100 feet from our backyard! YIKES!!:scared1:
Is this why our land was so cheap???!!!!

YIKES!:scared1: :scared1: That is pretty big!

I have updated the roster with our new friends :woohoo:

Some stats:

Staterooms: 66
Adults: 130
Kids: 45

We are growing!! There was someone on the main board asking about this sailing, so we may still gain a few more latecomers!
