Go to the main cruise site and check out the WARNING to Med Cruisers - it's pretty scarey!!!

Hi Hadley - this is the part I am looking for...I know I have early seating at 6:45pm my TA got that information for us. We moved from late seating to early because we prefer to see the shows after dinner and not be quite so full when we head to bed!

I can't seem to find this warning for Med cruisers that people are mentioning - I thought I saw it once, now it seems to be gone:headache:

Good Morning Padalyn,
Sorry for the confusion. The warning is a video clip of a small ship in some really rough weather. The entire thread is only about three down in the forum right now, But, here is the link to the video

http://break.com/index/cruise_ship_c...n_cyclone.html

There is much discussion about the size of this boat as compared to the Magic, etc on the thread. Personally I am really not worried, Captain Tom will keep us safe.

Oh my God my parents just booked (Gail and John) to go on this cruise and I so so want to go with them! :headache:

Do you mean early seating at 5:45?? I'm pretty sure 6:45 is not an option. Would you mind emailling yourself the reservation and seeing if it lists what your TA has told you you have, or 6:00 like all the other earlies are seeing when they try that? Just for the sake of research.

Funny how everyone has their own preference for seating time. We like to talk about the show we just saw while we eat dinner, and not feel rushed to leave before the next seating (have had both early and late). By the time we work off some calories dancing with the kids at the family dance party and then a few more at the clubs, we are generally not too full by bedtime. Odd as we are on an early schedule at home--dinner around 5:30 kids in bed by 8:30 and us no later than 11:00.

Book it too!!! We're dragging my in-laws, Hank and Jan, along (not that much arm twisting was invloved). Send Gail and John over to the thread. We'd love to get to know them.

Hi Padalyn,
I am starting to think that ALL late seatings will say 8:30 and ALL earlies will say 6:00 and it is only a default and not real information. DARN IT. However, I'll try to tell you how to eamil to yourself. You have to log on and retrieve your reservation. On that first page you see once you retrieve it, go ALL THE WAY to the bottom. There is a place where it says email this reservation and there are three rectangles to add email addresses into.

We have 6:30. :confused3

I just double checked some recent navigators thinking my memroy was fuzzy. As of 2/24/07 they are still showing the times for early as 5:30, 5:45 and 6:00 and late as 8:00, 8:15 and 8:30. These are what they were on our last two cruises. I gotta wonder where 6:30 and 6:45 are comming from. Are they completly changing dining times for the repo?

I emailed Disney a while ago about the dining hours and they are not doing staggered dining. Early is 6:00pm and late is 8:30pm.

The ship must be REALLY empty then. Man oh Man. I wonder how many dining rooms they will use at once (fill only one or two or have three only partly full?). Or, did they give some other reason to for going back to the only one dining time? Please tell, what did they say? Obviously I am overly concerned about this.

I emailed them to request an early dining time. The response to me was 6:00 was the only early dining time. No explanation was given. Sorry.

See.....and what CHRIS & ROBERT didn't know was that Jason and I were thinking of making our first ever trip to the west coast to DisneyLAND sometime in Nov. or Dec. possibly and we were gonna "force" them to use their points to get a room at the same time!

First of all, I want to be a part of the November “all boy band" and since I probably can’t make it there, you 4 are required to meet us for dinner when you are here! And if you guys all decide to come for Thanksgiving, don't forget that we spend Thanksgiving at DL and it is wonderful - we'd love to have you all spend it with us as we have no family here.

On the subject of dining... We like to eat early as we are EATERS! and also like to not be so full by bedtime and see the shows after dinner. When we changed our reservation for the cheaper price they moved our dinner to late, but it doesn't sound like its going to be a challenge to move it back.

Weather report: I'm not sure what we are sending all of you across the country, but we had 40-70 miles per hour winds here yesterday. I had been squeezing in every free minute to work on the backyard to repair it from the destruction of the winter (well, bad for us) and had just got everything as good as I could before leaving for the trip and it was blown like a mini tornado yesterday. I'm feeling like I don't have a minute to spare right now and I thought I had marked this off the list. fortunately we are getting 70's & 80's for the next week, so we're sending it your way!

Hey Eric, make sure you order your DDE because it does take a 3-6 weeks to arrive.

Watched the video of the ship, SCARY, but it was a much smaller ship than ours and it was winter.

Hey all, I'm still wondering how to log on at WDW? We'll be at the All Star, can I haul the lap top somewhere to log onto the internet?

Erik, how did you log on during your last trip?

Laura,

We will be leaving SFO at 6:20 am. The flight has one stop in Atlanta and will arrive at MCO at 4:30. We will also be heading to bed early... we have to get up in the morning... to get in the upgrade line... :lmao:

:flower3: I would love to get together!

Hi Cindy - Sent you a PM

Thanks for the inforamtion. I guess we'll all know the situation once May 12 gets here! But if anyone else hears anything I know you'll pass it along in the meantime.:goodvibes

Nanguide--Our mail should be here any minute. We are ready to go running down the driveway for it. I hope that surprise is there today.:shamrock:

Times--I notice this DIS group is split with (I think if I count correctly) 25 groups for late and 30 for early. Almost 50/50--so we should all see each other plenty in the dining rooms.:)

Wow, if there are not enough people to do staggered dining, and all the cabin availability they are showing I really wonder if we will run into each other?!?! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Although the good news is there should actually be lounge chairs available around the various pools!!! :thumbsup2 Having never been on a Disney cruise that wasn't crowded (Pin trading & EB Panama) I won't know what to do! Maybe we should still plan on having a sleep over in the hallways just to make it look more crowded than it will be!!! :dance3:

My Ninja TA just told me something interesting about clearing customs:

Here’s an important tidbit of information … on your return flight home, you will have to claim your checked luggage in Atlanta, clear customs, and then recheck your luggage through to Santa Ana.

This means that what ever your first USA landing is to change planes you will need to go claim your luggage and clear customs!! I knew I would have to do it, but assumed it would be in Santa Ana (home), not in Atlanta where we change planes!! Oye Vey!!!! :headache:

Hey all....

Posting from work quickly before I have to go teach my classes in the Med School.

Hadley---Call and tell DCL you want the same dining rotation as us and Chris and Robert....that way you'll be guaranteed to see our ties! ;)

Kelly---If we do actually make it out there we'll definitely let you know. I just bought season passes to our area's Broadway season (which includes 3 of my favorite shows: Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, and Wicked!!!) and the season kicks off mid November with Cirque Jungle Dreams so we may have to push it back a bit...but I'm sure it won't be over Thanksgiving because we usually do that with Jason's family in Central NY>

Also, you'll have to call All Star and find out if they have internet. Saratoga Springs offers in room high speed...as does Animal Kingdom Lodge as far as I know. I know that not all resorts apparently have it. You can also probably go on allearsnet.com and do a search for which resorts have internet access and where other access points within the parks and resorts might be.

Later!

:tigger:

I was wrong; our time is 6:00. Oops!:rotfl:

Lori

I got 8:30 also. I have a feeling that it is the generic late dining time. :( But I do believe that you can call a few days ahead and DCL can tell you.

Now the test would be for someone that is cruising soon.... Linda... does it and report back what dining time they got :)

Deb

Okay, I emailed myself my April 5 reservation on the Wonder and it says 6:00 p.m. on the main dining time. I am on the phone with DCL and Juanita tells me that it is the default time and that they can put in the request for 5:30, or 5:45 but it won't change on our reservation.

Now, I am sure if someone else calls, they might get a different story. However, I will be on the Wonder Thursday and we haven't requested a specific rotation or time, so I'll let you know where we end up.

Also, just found out my favorite Captain, Captain Henry has extended and is on til April 8th! He was originally getting off this week. Yippee! I just love Captain Henry!

Aunty Brat: yes, we have to do the same thing in Newark, but we weren't lucky enough to go to SNA (6 min. from our house) we go to LAX.

Eric, I've been meaning to ask you for quite some time now if you have seen Ave. Q? We are dying to see it. It was in LV and I'm not sure if its there anymore???? LV guys????

I'll check with All Star, but I'll bet the discounts don't.

does anyone know if there is a location in Downtown Disney to log on?
