Imagine if you lived in Calif - 3 hours + a shift

That's why I've been getting up so early to be ready - we're not good with time changes!

Actually, we have always had a pretty easy time with the lost time. We are usually so wiped out after traveling East, that by the time we land we want some food, a drink of the day :goodvibes a shower and off to bed!!! So when the alarm goes off the next day we have had a good nights sleep and are ready to go. When we go to vacation or to Vegas, it is not unusual for us to stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning every nite, and then the last night, go to bed normal time and then get up at our 'normal' time and drive home. Guess we are lucky...or too hyped up and having fun to realize that we should be exhausted!!!:dance3:

Cayla, is the MacDonalds in the Orlando Downtown Disney - is that near the big Lego store? and what is downtown disney called there? Not in Downtown, but the big MacDonalds that is inside the compound is WiFi hot and free Can I buy my Pal Mickey there too?

I called my hunnie - the MacDonalds I am thinking of is near All Stars. It has the large figures outside if that is any help. I am pretty sure I saw a sign saying WiFi hot in the window one time as we drove by. I am sure the one that is outside near the Crossroads is also WiFi.

Question about the time shift. Will the boat slowly shift the time as we cross the Atlantic so that we will loose roughly an hour or so a day? Or will they change in bigger steps every second day? What do you think?

Cheers!!

Pat

If they do it like they did the Panama cruise you will get a notice in the Navigator when there is a time change and they made announcements during the day that the time will change. The wait staff also were aware of the changes and let us know at dinner. We did it one hour at a time. Very painless!

Aunty Brat: yes, we have to do the same thing in Newark, but we weren't lucky enough to go to SNA (6 min. from our house) we go to LAX.

Eric, I've been meaning to ask you for quite some time now if you have seen Ave. Q? We are dying to see it. It was in LV and I'm not sure if its there anymore???? LV guys????

I'll check with All Star, but I'll bet the discounts don't.

does anyone know if there is a location in Downtown Disney to log on?

Yes I have seen it and I ADORE it. It's a must see! And yes it's on tour now. If it's coming to Rochester this season it's probably coming your way, too, soon!

That does sound easy!

I am lucky - I am used to flipping from nights to days (since I work nights 7p-7a). I figure when we fly back from Spain is going to be the hardest. we will be up at 4am local time then have the whole day in transit to land at 6pm local time here. An hour to get home and then try to get settled with the fuzzy ones who live here (I just come and go - they own the place!)

I gave myself 2 days after the trip to get back to my schedule - I have a feeling I am not going to have any trouble.

I am using Vista as my OS - I have a clock set to Barcelona time and the weather showing as well!!

It is 1800 here and 0000 there - 6 hours ahead of us. at a nice 52 degrees...

I'm new and have just read that there are pics of the grass skirts. Can you tell me where I can find them. I would also like to know about the door decorations, are there any pic's of these?:
Ready to Travel
If you are talking about the grass skirts to buy, a lot of folks go to Oriental Trading. Lots of pics there.

Now if you are talking about the Grass Skirt Fraternity......
This is from the 11 Nights in Paradis Cruise last fall.

Three of us are on this cruise. Scott is holding the Bubba Mug, I am in the middle and Robert is on the right side.

Hi everyone, we are THINKING about joining this cruise. How is everyone flying back? What airlines? Could you help me? This is a last minute thought and we don't know where to start looking.

Thank you so much!

Delta using FF points, and going around the world to get home but hoping to make a waitlisted flight.

taxtracker - Are you coming in the day before the cruise and if so where are you staying?

You will find on almost all the airlines that around trip ticket is cheaper than a one way ticket. Book your 1st leg leaving BCN and give a dummy date for the return and just do not use it. Check Travelocity, they give lots of flights at the same time.

Now that is a great tip! I was just checking Travelocity one way.

Wonder where Scott has been. Noticed that they are getting snow out there.
Man. I hope we are done with it. Still have the snowblower ready, just in case.:rolleyes1

So is anybody planning on staying in Coco Beach at the Comfort Inn on the Friday before the cruise? If so let me know would like to get together for dinner and maybe a drink afterwards.

Cheers!!

Pat

We are flying back from Barcelona to Frankfurt with Lufthansa and then from there on Condor to Halifax. We got one ways and in this case they were much cheaper then booking a return flight. That flight is $850 Cdn per adult and about $650 for the kids. Not sure if Condor flys anyplace else in Canada or the states but it was a great price for us.

Cheers!!

Try flyglobespan.com. I can't remember who posted it earlier, but we will be flying Barcelona to Glasgow and then Glasgow to Vancouver for just under $400 pp.

Good luck!

Lori

And PS: Don't forget you'll need passports if you don't already have them. :)

Jason and I got a pretty good deal on an Aer Lingus flight out of BCN back into the states. We actually booked the flight through www.cheaptickets.com
