May 10 2014 Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean Cruise Meet

CapeGirl and her guy...best place to find me will be Skyline before dinner. I'm planning to buy the passport again. :thumbsup2

The pictures of the Skyline bar look awesome! And what is this "Passport" of which you speak?? Some sort of frequent-drinker program?? :scratchin LOL

It's been so long since I posted on here!!! Well we had a lovely cruise and WDW trip last month and then I've spent a good portion of time at Disneyland!!! Can you believe we are getting closer!!! I can't wait for this cruise. I have another cruise before this but you know what I'm not even excited for that one like I am for this one!!!:goodvibes

I've seen your thread and I love your designs. Will you be creating some special designs for this cruise???? :)

One the first night of the cruise ask the Skyline bartender if they have drink passports for sale. It's about $65 (my memory is fuzzy) and allows you to try seven drinks from the current menu. Each time you order one, they will stamp your passport and there are drink recipes inside it as well, so it makes a nice keepsake.

My husband and I each bought one when we sailed in October and that way we were able to try all of the drinks on the menu ... there are two per featured city. It was fun!

Just before dinner? :rotfl2:

Thpppt! I may go in there AFTER dinner just to keep people guessing. :rolleyes1

Brenda explained it well. The passport covers 7 drinks for the price of 6. I thought it was nice to get a passport stamp every night just before dinner. And as Brenda hinted, you don't have to limit yourself to one drink. ;) You can use up your 7 drinks any way you want.

My husband and I will be joining all of you on this cruise.

We are from the Philadelphia suburbs.. we both love disney (DVC owners) and we both love cruises, but we have never mixed the two together. This is going to be our first Disney cruise and we are so excited.

We did a lot of research before booking the cruise and found out about the family oceanview rooms with the two portholes. The rooms look so cool we booked one to try something different.

I know it's still a while away but I look forward to keeping up with everyone prior to the trip. It is never to soon to get excited about a vacation!!

Welcome! My husband and I have taken two cruises over the years with our DVC points (7-night western in 2004 and a 4-night bahamas in 2011). You will get some fun little staterooms gifts from DVC while onboard.

Look forward to planning ... only 14 more months to go! :lmao:

So excited! Just booked a few days ago :hyper:
This cruise takes place exactly one week after my college graduation, and I booked it as a way to celebrate the end of my college career.

My sister (will be 15 y/o at the time of sailing) will be joining me, as well as a good friend of mine (24 y/o at the time of sailing)

Looking forward to chatting with everybody!

Hi everyone!

Our family just booked this cruise and we are so excited! This will be our very first cruise so I have been researching all over on disboards. My name is Jennifer, hubby is Rob, we have 4 year old twin boys Daniel & Joshua, 11mo. old Emily. My parents will also be joining us. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

P.S. The boys turn 5 on May 10th so it should be a fun bday celebration for them!

Sorry all!

I haven't been looking at our meet thread - but that doesn't mean that I'm not in the "planning mode" :rotfl2:

Really looking forward to this cruise and meeting everyone on board!

Deanna

BTW - I'm glad to see that we have several new "faces"...WELCOME!

We are sooo excited to join all of you next May! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. I will be traveling with my husband, Steven, and 3 kids. Madison who will be 5, Ethan who will be 3 and Peter who will be 1. This trip is a surprise to everyone but me (it will be a Christmas gift). I am in full planning mode and am excited to take part in my first fish exchange (any tips would be greatly appreciated!). See you all next May!

Somehow I thought now that we are barely one year out from this cruise there would be more chatter. I guess I will go talk to myself. :rotfl2:

Hi all! I booked our family last week, and I'm SO excited. We've done DW once as a couple, and twice with kids. I got my husband to agree to a Disney cruise by saying we'd only go after we got a certain amount of student loan debt paid off:) The bribe worked. But, he doesn't know we are officially booked, so SHHHHH! I will tell him in another couple of months once we truly have an entire student loan at $0! In any case, I'm Nikki, 34, DH is Eric, 36. We have 3 kiddos, that will be 5,5,4 on the cruise. The first five year old is Drake, and the other is Tessa. They are one day apart. Drake is home grown, and Tessa is our daughter that came to us by way of China. Their little brother is Eli, who is 14 months younger. I'm becoming obsessed with trip reports and fish extender exchanges. Is there a facebook group for our sailing yet?

I'm here! :yay: I'd love to chat about this cruise. This will be our 4th Disney cruise but the other 3 were on the Magic, so this will give us a lot of new experiences, along the comforts of "home" by still being DCL.

We've been on western Caribbean itineraries before, but Jamaica will be a new port for us. Not sure which excursions we'll end up doing. :scratchin

I haven't read anything about a Facebook group.

Welcome!!

I'm looking forward to this cruise also! Wes and I did a Back-to-Back on the Fantasy last Oct so this will be our 3rd cruise on the Fantasy!! :cool1::banana:

We're looking forward to going to Jamaica!

We are totally psyched about finally getting to Jamaica, even if only for one day. We haven't been to Grand Cayman either but not nearly as excited for that port.

And since it's my husband's birthday we have decided to upgrade to Concierge to celebrate! pixiedust:
