Karen

Good morning Marilyn!!

Hope you are having a lovely Christmas Eve Day!!

Off to bed for me... Tons left to do tomorrow.

Still have lots of presents to wrap and the house to clean. DD has been SO wonderful and helpful. She really is a lovely young lady (most of the time!) She did most of the decorating a couple of weeks ago, thank heaven! I didn't have too much to do in that department.

My favorite part of the decor is our Mickey Tree from our stay at the Beach Club last year! It is small enough to sit next to our fireplace in the family room. Our bigger tree is in the front living room and DD has her tree in the loft! I'll try to post pics in a couple of days!

Hope to post tomorrow night, or on Christmas!

Karen

Good morning everyone!

Up early so that we can get payroll done and get our employees paid on time.

Merry Christmas!

Here you go Holly . . .

A little early morning color correction for you!

I'm almost 100 pages behind but haven't got chance to catch up as I've checked-in online for our flight tomorrow  and am about to leave the house to catch a train and meet DH at the airport (he works there, and is working today). Our flight is 0900 tomorrow so we're staying at the airport overnight.

But I just wanted to wish everyone a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hope you have a great trip and a wonderful holiday.:santa:

Sounds like all are busy enjoying the holidays. Quiet time for us. DD, DSIL, DGD, DDIL, DGS all were here for breakfast and then some games yesterday. Today I hope to get some cleaning and rearranging of furniture done, then just 6 of us for dinner tomorrow. DDIL and DGS will head back to CA around Jan 1, depending on weather. They will be driving over the mountain pass in southern Oregon, so Accuweather will determine which day they leave. We plan to send DrHug with them as far as Sacramento, CA then he can fly back home. He grew up driving in Montana, so snow is not such a problem for him as it would be for DDIL who has not driven more than a very few miles in snow. I asked DrHug to do this as she will be alone with DGS8 and I would worry myself sick until I heard they were safely over the passes.

Hi Angie. Your snow and the road conditions must be so scary at times. Good idea to send Dr Hug for some of the way but I bet you will be glad when he is back.

Hello Ladies . . .

A little quiet for me here at the office, as the stores are busy, with no time to call me or worry about anything but taking care of our customers. A good chance for me to clean up in here, and try to get ahead for the new year.

I think I am going to try and get out for lunch now.

Also looking good for me to have the next few days off after 8 days in a row!

Morning everyone. Just stopping by to wish everyone a
Very Merry Christmas
I hope everyone has a great next couple of days. Despite my IL's already driving me crazy, I am halfway through their visit and can't wait for Christmas day with the girls and Scott!

Deb:Loved the pics of gandolf in the snow...love all that snow! I so miss it here, but we ski most weekends so I still get to play in it often.

Great game yesterday for us! I had just finished asking Scott if we had ever had a shutout when the silly Ravens scored...oh well, so much for that one. Right now we are either playing the Giants, Redskins, Vikings or Saints in the first playoff game. Wish they would decide that stuff already. John1, how is it looking for the Browns to get into the playoffs? If they win next week are they in?

Holly, hope you had a great morning with Tyler! Your tree looked great.

I am off to see a patient this am (she is a flight attendent and needed to be seen but was flying during all my working days this week) and then home to help with the cooking. :lmao: I mean, watch Scott do all the work!:thumbsup2

Well I think we are all settled in for Christmas now. Shops will be shut or closing soon, curtains are drawn - everything is ready. Well that is easy for us as we are just the 2 of us this evening(pizza) and we are out for the day tomorrow and Wednesday, but it still feels special. Going to light the candles soon and put the kettle on - again!

Hope you all have a great Christmas.

I will surely miss him and worry until he is safely back home. But, I really, really don't want DDIL and DGS driving over the mountains alone this time of year. She came up because her sis gave her a car that she (the sis) inherited and did not need. DDIL does need it. Sweet sis she has. The car is older (1994) but only 38,000 miles so it is very good condition. Will be a good get her to work car. They are getting it tuned up and all checked out on the 26th then she can head home anytime after that. We have been checking the weather and it looks like Dec 30 or Jan 1 are the "windows of opportunity." Flying home on Jan 2 is less costly for DrHug and more seats available than on New Years eve or Day.

John1, yes the grocery stores are VERY busy the last couple of days. DGS18 works in a grocery stocking shelves. As he was heading out to work at 4:30 last evening I suggested to DrHug, DD and the crowd here that we should go with him and scoop up groceries off his shelves! :lmao: He just looked at me, shook his head, and said "good luck with that!" :lmao: :rotfl: He hates working the day before Christmas Eve and Christmas Eve morning. :headache: I love giving him a hard time! ;) :rotfl:

we're home. We ended up spending last night at my mom's too. I am tired and now have to frantically clean house, get the groceries for tomorrow's meal and finish some last minute shopping.

:scared1: To quote my DGS18------"Good luck with that!" ;) :sad2: :lmao:

Well Kaylee, after losing yesterday, the Browns took destiny out of their own hands. It does not matter what they do next week - all that matters is what happens to Tennessee. If the Titans beat the Colts - the Browns are out. If the Titans lose, the Browns are in. Sounds goofy, but that's how it all works out.

Who was it who called Anderson "Anderception"? Four of them yesterday - Ughhhh! Even after all that we still had a chance, but blew it at the end. It may be time to just root for the Buckeyes.

The Browns really had no realistic chance of doing anything meaningful in the playoffs, but it would have been at least nice to see them there.

been there on Friday, done with it, thank heavens..

Hope you don't have to work too late John. Kaylee it's nice of you to accomdate a patient like that. I've done my good deed for my client today, I answered a call @ 8:30 (woke us up) and faxed some docs to make him happy.

Now we are plannted on the couch :happytv: and :laundy: until this afternoon. Family coming over ~6pm. First movie is The Simpsons (not so great so far...) popcorn::

I got a PM from Mandy this morning, here's what she wrote to you all....

Please wish all the other Pirate cruisers a Happy Christmas too...when I get time in the New Year I'll look in!

And I wanted to add my own wishes for everyone to have the best Christmas ever!!!

HAVE A VERY VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

AND HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS EVER!!!

With all our love, hugs and kisses......John and Deb

Doing some last minute things around the house, then I'm off to the hotel. Will check in with you all later.
