Hope so!! Doesn't it sound wonderful?

I think I missed all the talk about this somewhere in the pages and pages I had to skip - hope she has a great time!

Me, I just want to get home at a decent hour today. I am here more for show and moral support rather than any real need. I hope they get payroll done soon and on time!

Publix was CRAZY! It's amazing how people just lose their manners....

DGS is back at it this morning, stocking those shelves for us! He was a little  because his boss made them stay until 11:30 last night (store closes at 11) to stock cereal and cat food! He was  :headache: "there was plenty and there is NOT going to be a run on cereal and pet food on Christmas Eve morning!" :confused3 Anyway, he was back at work at 10 so all us late shoppers can get our fruit and whipping cream. ;)

Poor Dennis is working at Costco today. Hopefully the pharmacy will not be too crazy busy.

You would think at this time of year people would try and be kinder to one another . . . wishful thinking.

Same kind of stuff we get a run on at the last minute . . . whipping cream, yeast, cream cheese, sliced dried beef, Cool Whip, fruit, butter, sprinkles (or Jimmies - a little Geek joke). After 30 years in the business, the more it changes, the more it stays the same.

I feel for everyone working today...John is still at work.

I bet he will tell you the day flew by. I miss that part of being in the stores, and overall, there are more kinder than nasty people.

Ah, last minute shopping. What a joy! Hope your journey home is ok John and you can soon be with your family for christmas.

Hi Everyone! Just in case I don't make it on tomorrow, wanted to wish everyone a very....

Merry Christmas!!!

I hope Santa's good to all of you!!!!! :santa:

They will always be Jimmies to me!!

Your post reminds of the year 7-11 came to my hometown. It was the first time we had something open on Christmas day. The owner worked that day - had a big table set up with things like cranberry sauce, whipped cream, etc. He was the happiest person in the store. We had to run in for the cranberries we forgot.

OH yeah, and EVERYONE don't forget BATTERIES!

I refuse to go into the stores open on Christmas (unless they do not celebrate it, I think those people should be with their families, and I figure if I patronize them, I only encourage them to be open!) - but I HAD to go into Walgreens one Christmas for batteries! I apologized to the clerk - she actually told me it was nice to see some people.

May all my fellow cruisers have a safe and family (and friends) filled day.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
SEASON GREETINGS

to all the wonderful people whom I have meet and will get to meet!

Also looking good for me to have the next few days off after 8 days in a row!

Tis the season - Shawn hasn't had a full day off since Thanksgiving Day.

He also shared that his store did $1,737,000 in volume on Friday alone!! That would be a ton of last minute shoppers. Would have hated to be in his store that day. It must have been a zoo.

Who was it who called Anderson "Anderception"? Four of them yesterday - Ughhhh! Even after all that we still had a chance, but blew it at the end. It may be time to just root for the Buckeyes.

That would have come from us Duck fans. Gotta love those former Beavers. Funny, we were watching the Cardinals/Falcons game and Tim Euhus (spelled wrong), anyway the TE for the Cardinals jumped before the snap at a critical point in the game and Shawn yells out, "Typical Beaver"! It was funny, kinda had to be here huh?!?!?!?!

Our sone worked in a garage for a time when a student and had to work early shift one Christmas Day. The majority of customers were there for batteries!

I always worked Christmas when I was manager of a video store (gave all the employees off) and it was better when I had customer's - the day went so much faster. Christmas was much busier than Thanksgiving - I always figured it was the new VCR (it was the mid 90's) and video game systems people wanted to try out so they came to rent stuff.

It was a pleasure! What a lovely group of folks!

Wish we could have spent more time with you and Mrs. Woody! It seemed like such a quick cruise... glad this one will be longer!

Karen
Looking forward to cruising with you in May!

Woody

Well....I think I have done all I can.
The girls......well, Haley fell asleep on the couch and is in bed and Samantha fell asleep as well but when John moved her to her bed she woke up. But it is nice and quiet here.

I still have a ton of stuff to wrap and I found a Troy doll today....needed the Ryan doll but he is out everywhere!
