"there was plenty and there is NOT going to be a run on cereal and pet food on Christmas Eve morning!"
Anyway, he was back at work at 10 so all us late shoppers can get our fruit and whipping cream.

I feel for everyone working today...John is still at work.
Same kind of stuff we get a run on at the last minute . . . whipping cream, yeast, cream cheese, sliced dried beef, Cool Whip, fruit, butter, sprinkles (or Jimmies - a little Geek joke). After 30 years in the business, the more it changes, the more it stays the same.
They will always be Jimmies to me!!
Your post reminds of the year 7-11 came to my hometown. It was the first time we had something open on Christmas day. The owner worked that day - had a big table set up with things like cranberry sauce, whipped cream, etc. He was the happiest person in the store. We had to run in for the cranberries we forgot.
Also looking good for me to have the next few days off after 8 days in a row!
Who was it who called Anderson "Anderception"? Four of them yesterday - Ughhhh! Even after all that we still had a chance, but blew it at the end. It may be time to just root for the Buckeyes.
OH yeah, and EVERYONE don't forget BATTERIES!
I refuse to go into the stores open on Christmas (unless they do not celebrate it, I think those people should be with their families, and I figure if I patronize them, I only encourage them to be open!) - but I HAD to go into Walgreens one Christmas for batteries! I apologized to the clerk - she actually told me it was nice to see some people.

Looking forward to cruising with you in May!It was a pleasure! What a lovely group of folks!
Wish we could have spent more time with you and Mrs. Woody! It seemed like such a quick cruise... glad this one will be longer!
