V...I love how much research you have already done! I am going to take your abbreviated version and go from there! Scott has no interest in really thinking about excursions now, he thinks it is too far away, silly boy!!!! I am all for finding nice beaches to plant myself at with the kids, the sun, a nice drink and a comfy chair!

Exactly my thoughts!! I really don't want to do any excursions at all. I just want to go to the beaches and relax!!!

Maybe I could hang with your family....I am going to be missing my little ones so much!!

The closer this gets, the more worried I get that I won't be able to leave the girls.

DH already left at about 5:15am. I am going to get the kids out the door. Vanessa is not feeling well and staying home from school for the first time.

Still plodding through the posts!!!

Now I'm missing Karen, coz she hasn't been on for a while. And I really miss Marilyn, I hope she gets home soon and tells us all about her trip and how much she loved her first cruise.

Once I am through catching up I will share a little of our trip.

I hope she didn't get sea-sick!

I was worried about that, so took a Bonine before we sailed. It was a little choppy that first night, but after that it was smooth. I didn't take any more Bonine!!

Our cruise had very rough seas, so did PJ's....we cruised at the same time. But Karen cruised after us and she said her seas were calm and smooth.....so I'm hoping it held for Marilyn too.

We'll find out!

My DH and I just returned today from the 4 night Wonder, and while on board we booked the Westbound Panama cruise. They said the had just had a block of rooms open up. We are booked for main dining, Cat 5 room, and I think we got a special rate for booking while already on a cruise. I am new to this board, but found the Wonder board so helpful. Since I am late getting here, I don't know if I will get through all 1000+ pages. , but am wondering if there is any place to get a lot of the info anyhow. We are so excited about going thru the canal. I will appreciate any info anyone has. We have only been on the Wonder just now, and a Carnival cruise about 20 years ago. We are older..my DH is a young 60, and I am a sometimes young 52year old. Thanks.....Vicki

It looks like maybe a large group cancelled since we had so many rooms open up and so many newcomers joining.

DH and I are getting decent news about his job situation, so we shouldn't have to cancel this cruise after all.

Oh, we're coming on the cruise for sure. I thought I was going to have to cancel to get my deposit back to put on a major bill, but I found other ways to take care of things. And Tyler's dad did give me a check 2 days ago for what he owed me. He had been waiting for his Christmas bonus to cover that expense. So everything's good!

I will be joining everyone in May 2008 for the Panama Cruise. I've actually been booked since January. (I sent a PM to the person who started the thread but haven't heard back but that's okay, being on or off the roll cal doesn't really bother me).

I just stopped by to say hello. I know there is no realistic way I'll be able to stay up to speed on this thread, but I figured I might as well try!

Hi there.

After two days of me and John in tears and our heads exploding....I knew I had to do something. I was going to be the better person. I invited Joe and Sandi to our house to watch the Dallas game. Joe is a huge fan and it was only playing on the West Coast. He didn't get the game on cable but I got it on DirecTV. I told him that me and John will listen to their side of things and get their perspective. I know that nothing is black and white, all things are shades of gray and we needed to communicate and compromise. We heard them out and came to an understanding then watched the game together and Dallas won.

I want to thank all of you here for being so supportive, it means a lot to me. Noel, I totally agree with everything you said. I think you hit the nail on the head precisely. But I couldn't allow John to lose his daughter. They are my family too and I love Sandi and the boys. And as John says, love me, love my dog. We have to tolerate and accept Joe for Sandi's sake. She loves him. If they say they're happy together then we have to let them live their life on their terms even if we disagree.

I do feel much better now, so does John. We didn't agree with everything they said, we didn't tell them any lies, but we agreed to disagree and be more accepting of each other.

So all's well that ends well afterall. Now they can move, I think after next weekend, and we can put some space between us while leaving on a good note. It means the world to me that we came to an understanding. My mother always told me....I know all of your strengths and all of your weaknesses and I love you unconditionally despite everything. That's what we accomplished today and it feels right.

Thank you again everybody. It was what I needed to hear at a very desperate moment. It gave me strength and enouragement to try and make it right.

Lisa, hope all goes well and he is home for Christmas.

Sad news today, my step father's mother passed away this morning. She hadn't been doing good for quite some time though.

Hi everyone! Oh my!!! Is there really over 2,000 pages to this thread? WOW! Needless to say I'd miss the boat if I tried to read all these pages, so could everyone just say who they are and where they're from so I can catch up?
We're super excited about this cruise. We're DH, DD5 and DS (who is newly adopted and will be 3 on the cruise) and myself. We're from NH and this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise.

Just enough time to catch up and one post before bedtime. It was Amy's birthday, and we had a little cake for her. Sophia wanted it to say Happy Birthday Mommy, and be in Christmas colors.

Right - a few highlights from our holiday.

Meeting everyone. I could tell when I first mentioned meeting folk to John he wasn't keen as he is quite shy till he feels relaxed, but he really enjoyed meeting everyone. Apart from people on this cruise we had our friends from GA down at POR for our first week. We met for a few meals and joined them for MVMCP where we had a ball! Met 4 members of a UK forum on our last Saturday at the Boardwalk which was fun too.

A wow moment - 2 of these people we met at the boardwalk we had shared an Illuminations cruise with last year. Originally they had booked the Breathless, but it had an accident and was out of action. They had managed to book it again for this year, but we couldn't join them as we were on the cruise. Anyway, their time zooming round the lakes was short, so they booked a daytime jaunt - on the Saturday afternoon we were meeting so we could join them. It was the greatest fun and I would recommend it.

Round the World Segway tour. Just brilliant, and John's highlight of the whole holiday. Would do it again.

Our TA's company we booked our last 4 nights with hade an offer for booking with them(free) for Mousefest which was an Illuminations dessert party and VIP viewing. This was on the patio nearest to Rose and Crown, and I think we had an almost perfect central spot. On top of that they did an extra special treat we only found out about that night - a private ride on Soarin! Had to go in the back entrance. Felt a bit sorry for the folks in line we passed(they had closed the line we went into) but i wasn't going to decline the ride just because!!!!

The cruise. I just loved it. John I think not as much, but enough to still be looking forward to this one!! I couldn't get him to agree to book another one whilst onboard though! We had great table mates and server and those meals were a big highlight to us. Got to visit the Walt suite where Deb Wills and group were staying. I couldn't relax the whole cruise though so am looking forward to more time next year.

POP Century. Because we booked the cruise, I booked a cheap room for the last 4 nights - in fact it ended up being a little over $66 a night inc tax! This included the dessert party etc too! I was very worried about staying here, but it was wonderful and we would have no hesitation staying there again, apart from the fact that we won't need to . Buses were much better than POR/POFQ where we had a few issues. Pools were great, food court very good and CM's the best.

John had a little brain storm and on the Saturday before the cruise we bought into DVC!!! Now, this is the guy who isn't really into Disney, so I am still amazed.

I'm feeling bad today! Should feel better tomorrow, but usually feel tired for a week or more. We stay awake all day when we get home which we believe helps the jetlag problems.

Need to go and have a look at the excursions too and have a whole UK forum to read through yet!!!!! Plus, still have a couple of wash loads and the most humungous pile of ironing mounting up. Might just put the summer clothes away unironed.

for the pirate excursion...on their website it says 15 pesos entrance fee...anyone know anything about this?
