thanks! I know some of my very best and dear friends are reading (well at least I hope they like me!) I don't often get a chance to voice myself throughout the day....the DIS and this thread give me that opportunity.
Can I keep up with everyone and all their posts, heck no! But I am trying and really - this is very theraputic I think!
Thanks for putting my thoughts into words V! I agree 100%

who will have a 2T/3T (or even a bit bigger) little girl on the cruise? I have an Ariel pillowcase dress and ruffled pants set that is one too many!

I know you found someone else for it- but Olivia is that size too. I have a whole group of kids coming along on the cruise!

I was just outside with the dog and it's warm out there....it's hot in the house so we just turned our air conditioners on again. I can't beleive it. We've had the heat on twice already this season and now the air is back on. What kind of weather are we having???????????

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

The weather has been just as screwy here. We had days with the heat on and then the AC on afterwards... it's supposed to be 80 here on Monday! I'll be on my way to FL though.

One of the trees the tornado uprooted ripped out a gas line on its way out of the ground, so the news reporter says you can hear the gas hissing from it and authorities have evacuated the neighboring areas. :scared:

Holly- that storm sounds really scary. I think it's rolling in around here today. The skies are all grey. I'm glad Tyler's tests went well. That must have been tough for him!

If you guys could spare a couple of prayers for me today, I'd really appreciate it. I lost my wedding band/engagement ring!! I'm so heartbroken and I can't seem to find them anywhere. I don't know what my problem is that I'm always misplacing things. I feel like I've looked everywhere and am running out of ideas. It's making me physically ill. Just another item of contention in this awful week!:confused3

(re: post 28066 above)

Are we making cruise and excursion plans on the Ship of thieves pages? I am so far behind in all aspects that I am not checking it either. Should we repost how to communicate there and get some planning chatter going on there?
Jan :earsgirl:

Can a new thread be started for those interested in planning chatter. There are so many personal chatter posts, that it's impossible to sift through and find any planning posts in this thread, as pages and pages are added daily.

Just a thought.
I apologize for lots of chattering, but it's just so much fun getting to know each other before the cruise, it's truly an addiction. :rotfl2: Believe me, more planning talk will start after final payment for the cruise, since then everybody remaining will definitely be coming along.

That would be pretty neat to be on the cruise for Halloween!

Patrick and I are going to set up a card table at the end of the driveway to hand out our candy this year! I was thinking of having "Witch's Brew" for the parents that I know! ;)

Way back when my kids were young, I set up an old card table in the carport right at the open end. then I cut a hole in it for the goodies bowl and one for my head to fit through. I covered it with an old black drop-cloth and used grease paint to get a "skull" effect on my face. As the families came up to the table I would pop up from under it and smile. even my kids who know I was there got a good fright:scared1: :scared1:

Oh no! I sure hope you find your rings. :sad1:  You will....you've probably just misplaced it or maybe it fell down behind something you haven't thought of looking behind yet. It WILL show up for sure! :grouphug:

And I hope the storms have weakened before they reach your area.

The news guy on my way to work this morning said there were 6 confirmed tornados in Michigan, 2 touched down in my area. One where my co-worker lives, but although she lost power, her area was fine. :thumbsup2

Too funny! When I was a kid, I always looked forward to houses that did cool stuff like that!

I wasn't even thinking....I guess I thought she was younger/smaller....I am sure I will have more as I wade through. Last night I sat Haley on top of the dining room table and we started going through hair bows and bracelets and we have a few dups as well! I hope you find your ring!

I just turned the baseball game off....Indians down 3-1 at the top of the 7th....I figured I would give them a chance to come back since I vodooed them the last time I watched and I didn't want it to happen again. It's ok John, I turned it off!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Alas, too late! The voodoo had already done us in! Boy am I dragging today on four hours sleep. It doesn't help that I am knee deep in problems too!

Ok, there was a spelling error in the first logo, i don't know if V has had the chance to change the shop to the newer error free logo, but you can use any of these to do a custom shirt or other until the store is fixed.

Thanks PJ!! BTW - I'll get to meet you at Boma's next Wednesday...will be with Ian. Have a great trip down!

Did anyone see yesterday's Oprah show? Well, I had the 6 degrees moment (you know, we're all separate by each other by 6 degrees). A week ago Friday I met a girlfriend at a local Starbucks for coffee. As we were chitchatting we saw a pretty blonde woman being video taped going in and out of local shops. We figured it was for a commerical on the local community channel. As it turns out she was on the Oprah show yesterday with Suze Orman. As I watched the show yesterday, they showed video of the woman going about her day, I of course recognized the area....and my car!! In one part of the clip she walks by the very front end of my car...too funny. It's been my dream to go to the Oprah show, who would have figured if I would have just sprawled myself across the hood of my car that morning, I could have been able to say I've been ON the Oprah show. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

John, even guys need hugs when problems are going on. So here's a bunch from me!

His dad managed to keep him up as long as possible, then struggled to wake him up at 4am like the doc said to, but he said Tyler was pretty good natured about it for having very little sleep. I think he said he slept about 4 hours. The technician doing the EEG said they got a successful reading, meaning his dad did a good job of making sure he was sufficiently sleep deprived. Then when they got to the point where the needed him to fall asleep and test his brain patterns while sleeping, his dad told me that was a struggle because he was overtired and just couldn't fall asleep and was REALLY cranky (understandable), so they asked dad to leave the room and Tyler calmed right down and fell asleep. Now, I know he must have been completely exhausted to be able to fall asleep in a strange place with a stranger in the room.

It took a couple hours and when his dad called me after they got home, Tyler was napping. His dad's voice was really gravelly from lack of sleep and sounded like he'd been up all night. GOOD! It's good for him to see some of the hard parts of being a parent instead of just having your child come over to play.

I think Tyler's pediatrician will call me next week with the results, which I'm sure will be normal, she just wanted to narrow some things out. :thumbsup2

I am glad all went well with the EKG and Tyler's appointment. I sure hope what ever issues that need to be ruled out are eliminated. It is a very good thing that Tyler's Dad got involved is some of the hard parenting issues. Sounds like he has had more experience with the "fun" parenting side.

I saw the show, but didn't see the whole thing because I was already doing homework on and off while watching. HOW COOL! Must have been so crazy to see your car on TV!!! :rotfl:

Thank you! :goodvibes I'm a bit anxious to hear the results of the EEG, but I'm sure it's normal. His pediatrician told me she wants to rule out emotional seizures, at least Ithink that's what she called it. She told me sometimes there can be seizure activity in the brain that happens to be near the area that controls emotions and could result in outbursts that don't seem to be triggered by anything.

And yes, until now, his dad's only role has been the "fun" side as they just play before bed and on Saturdays when he's not off fishing with his buddies. The stepmom has done all the "caretaking" when Tyler's over there. Despite our differences, I'm so grateful she was willing to take on that role so that I know Tyler's well taken care of over there.
