Ok....Maybe I should pick a better motto than "It's all about me"! :rotfl: I guess I should clarify...I say it as a joke to my staff, although I suppose they might not think I'm joking. :rotfl2:

Whether or not we get in to DVC Amy made some reservations through work at some fleabag motel (actually Marriott Courtyards).

So, we will arrive late Thursday the 25th (missing game 2 in Cleveland if we make it to the Series) and leaving on Monday the 29th.

I have no idea who is meeting who where since this was kind of last minute, I know V will be there, and now I have to look up stuff and do some last minute planning.

If there is a group meet going on, and we are not horning in, let me know.
John I like the new sig and as an ex-new yorker I have to say I haven't been a baseball fan since they stole the Dodgers out of Brooklyn, but I sure dislike the Yankees so for you my friend GO TRIBE

The visit at Tyler's school. His teacher provided me with a list of behaviors she sees him do. I met with the school counsellor (a social worker). They both, while being careful not to diagnose, since they're not allowed to do that, of course, really suspect something neurological or chemical imbalance, based on their experience in dealing with tons of kids and seeing lots of things over the years. Of course they're not trying to diagnose, just telling me that they really think the things he does are beyond his control. The counsellor recommends me taking him to his pediatrician and when I told her I didn't have much luck there before, she told me to specifically request a school problem assessment and she says that usually gets them acting quickly. Sure enough, we were given an appointment for Monday morning.

The bad part is that Tyler's dad is completely against taking him to the doc. He fully believes he just needs counselling to help him learn how to behave. Counselling won't hurt, so I'm just taking both routes. He'll set up whatever he can do through his employer. I've told him about the doc appt in case he wants to come, but he has no interest in being there since he doesn't agree. :headache:

But at least we have the ball rolling. Wish me luck please! :goodvibes And now I need to get it out of my head for the next few days and not think about it until his appointment Monday.

You are a great mother and are doing the right thing for Tyler if the EX can't deal with the fact that "his son" needs the help he probably needs some too. keep up the good work in spite of him IMHO

There's always one!!:lmao:

6' 2"

I'll fix that by answering ONE question . . . 6' 1" :rotfl:

"you are not alone tall man":thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Holly - glad you went into the school to talk to the counselors. I think you're on the right track - taking Tyler to the Dr on Monday, and going through to talk to the counselors through your ex's program.

Know that we're here for you! :grouphug:

I have a foot touching thing, it is my ticklish spot, really ticklish really really. I love a mani, was doing one anyways, but I am looking forward the the messaging chair that they have for when they do the pedi, now what colour do I get, I am fairly pale and so are my legs and feet, thinking something basic like pale pale pink?

I love the massage chair with the heat on in the winter. Also, I love a French manicure on my toes in the summer. In the winter, I tend to go for the more bold reds. If you don't like colors, go for the French manicure, it looks very natural.

Still feeling a bit "under the weather"...

Read all the posts, just not quite up to posting replies.

Hope everyone is feeling better, resolving issues, having fun planning trips, having a good day!

Karen

Glad to hear you are feeling better, Karen. Hope to see you posting here on the boards soon.

Hi Holly

How are you today?

You are good mother and I am surprised that in your area have counselling for Tyler

In my home, Scotland, don't have counselling for my daughter. I wish to have it for her bad behaviour. I wait and see tomorrow as doctor specialist is coming to my house plus visit teacher too.

I get a mani and pedi every other week. I make my DH get one before every trip since he seems to think the toenails are never to be cut. They can get pretty gross!

I try to get a mani every week and a pedi about once a month.

My DH gets a manicure and pedicure once a month when we go to Reno. I think it is just as important for a man to have well groomed hands. As to men's feet, I think men seem to forget they have toenails!!

Hi birkner

Me too - I love a French manicure on my toes when I go on holiday, wedding, etc. and I will have it done before the next Cruise in May 08:thumbsup2

I had false nails done last time on Med Cruise and I don't think I will do it again because I don't like it as I chip three nails and cannot get book on the beauty while on the Cruise. I don't think I do it again and doing my own nails next Cruise.:sad2:

I am not much of a shopper, but we spent a whole day trying on dresses...before she decided on one and then we spent a whole day trying on shoes!! No my idea of much fun.......

I am just the opposite about shopping. My late sister Karen and I use to be great shoppers. When I would visit her in Los Angeles, we would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Now, I don't really have anyone to shop who has as much fun as we did.

I am sorry that I have forgotten your name, but mine is Noel. I don't have false nails either as it so much easier to get a manicure than to get fills or whatever. I don't mind that my nails are on the short side either.

Now I would just love to shop like that. Before moving here, within walking distance of shops I did used to travel to cities and enjoy coffees and lunch out, but I never do that now.

Also I have nobody to go shopping with who enjoys it like that. My daughter and daughter in law will go out and buy what they want/need and that is it!!

Holly-wishing you lots of luck both with Tyler at the docter and also with your ex. I think you're doing the right thing!!! A year from now this will all be behind you and you'll know exactly what's going on with Tyler.

What a shame we don't live closer. I don't necessarily need to buy, I just love to shop!!
