John, I was very touched by that man's lecture. Thank you for sharing.

Karen, have you ever heard of a wine called Sine Qua Non Pinot Noir Omega? I had it the other day it was just wonderful. I found it through a local wine exchange but it is big $$$.

I'm a bit tired so am going to bed. The lecture was really inspiring but also a bit overwhelming. Life goes by so fast...it is so hard to sit back and simply enjoy it all. At least I know, when I'm sitting on the deck watching the water pass us by, I know it will be quite easy to sit back and enjoy!

Here's to enjoying tomorrow! It will be a Friday, which is always a great start!

Good morning. A wet day for us here - nearly time to hibernate I think.

Shawn told me he received a 53' trailer today at his store, floor loaded with Holiday decorations. They are one of the only retail companies that doesn't decorate for the Holiday until the night before Thanksgiving! It is September 20th isn't it??

Which reminds me - - - two weeks from today we will be in Orlando for our next cruise! Couple of days at the World and then off on the Magic!

Our shop are just beginning to get their Christmas things out!!! Begins with Christmas cards and builds up from there.

PS. I LOVE monkeys....always wanted to have one until I found out how dirty they are and hard to keep....but Sophia's bathroom sounds like fun. Can you post a pic when it's all done....would love to see it.

Monica, thanks for all the Aruba info....I think a group of us are doing off road Jeeps on Aruba....but it gives us a good idea on what else is out there as we pass by at 90 miles an hour.....just kidding.

I have to leave in about 45 minutes.....gotta meet Ray, StepDad, with the Social Worker and tell him that his house is going up for auction. This is not going to be easy. Gotta give him a chance to do one last walk through and take anything else that he might want out of it. It's so hard on us I can't even imagine how hard it's going to be for him....that's why the Social Worker is going to be there when I tell him.

Just asked our daughter for ideas for her 4 children as I need to get a move on with being away from 24th Nov to 11th December!!

8 Grandchildren , 3 children plus their partners, one 91 year old mother in law who will be a nightmare to buy for, and a few other folk, plus John, who will say 'don't bother about me'!!!

Sounds like Disney shopping, Disney wrapping and Disney shipping back home (or an extra suitcase) to me!

some times the symbiotic relationship between a couple can be hard when 1 is lost, we are seeing this a lOT with DEB's step dad too good luck

We experienced this with my mom as well. After she passed, the "light" in the day was that I knew that she was with my dad again, and I know how much she missed him.

She was his "bride" for all of the almost 5o years that they were together. They were so blessed and gave so generously to everyone around them...

Amazing - he is wearing a polo with Mickey on it, and his CM badge. He worked for a while as an imagineer for Disney. How cool is that?

I thought that he seemed familiar. I think that he is in one of the shows that we have seen on Disney from the travel channel.

We might have to go this weekend too, except our weekend does not start tomorrow. So maybe Saturday or Sunday.

I do want to check out the Disney Warehouse store that opened in Santa Clarita but it depends on if we get rain this weekend.

It's still a definite maybe, but we are trying to get away the first weekend of October to DL to see all of the Halloween stuff! We promised ourselves last year that we would go, but we'll see. That's why we got our AP's earlier this year!

Best Overall Tour: The best island tour is in a 4x4; start at the California Lighthouse, then head for the Alta Vista Chapel, the Butterfly Farm, the Natural Pool, the abandoned gold mine and Arikok National Park. Ask for a mapat teh entrance to Arikok National Park so you can find the caves with Indian petroglyphs.

Things went as well as possible with Ray...it was a definite tearfest though. I spent the full afternoon with him and when I got back I was drained. Then my brother called and wanted to talk about all the things he found in mom's window seat in the living room. He had me on the phone for hours. After that I was exhausted and went to sleep....so I never got back on here last night.
