I guess if you didn't like the beach it wouldn't be that great.
I wonder if there are any people who do not get off the boat at CC??

did you guys see on the main board that the 4 night wonder this week has no sea day and is visiting Castaway Cay twice!! That would be great!!!!!!!!!
Ooooh, I would not like that at all. My favorite part of a cruise is sea days. :cloud9: I'm just not a beach person, and Tyler doesn't handle heat well at all (actually, neither do I), so we usually only spend about 45 minutes on CC.

Oh...and good morning!

Actually, my dream is to retire in Wyoming, so I could live in WY in the summers and FL in the winters. Perfect!

even though I am fair, I love the beach and even the heat - just wish we had no humidity.

When we eventually get to retire both John and I are hoping to keep this house and have one in the Caribbean!! :) at least a lean to anyway!

what;s everyone else up to today?

I am sure Holly and Tyler have some great adventure! 2 1/2 hours until kickoff!
No big plans for us this weekend. A co-worker is having a bonfire tonight, so Tyler and I will go there for a little bit. Bad thing is that it doesn't start until 7 and he usually goes to bed at 7:30 and gets REALLY grumpy later than that, so we won't stay long. Just long enough for him to have a hot dog and a couple s'mores. :goodvibes

Tomorrow we'll go to the beach for a bit if the weather holds out. Looks like it's not going to be as warm as predicted, so we might change that plan. Maybe the local zoo instead. Nothing major.

Since I was up so late (2:30am) I thought it would be a good idea to throw the roast & veggies & potatos in the crockpot that I've been trying to remember to make all week. I just always forget every morning before we leave for work, so I figured I could have it for lunch today and leftovers for a few days. I defitely won't do that again because I could smell it cooking ALL NIGHT while I was trying to sleep and didn't sleep well because the smell made me so hungry! :rotfl2: Two more hours of cooking time and I'm about to go insane with desire! :rotfl:

Me too! But now I see the importance of letting it cook while you're at work! :lmao: Being here while it cooks is absolute torture....that's WAY too long to smell something that yummy!

you guys always have fun stuff planned!!

Who Killed Roger Rabbit is not a scary movie but there is one part that is kinda of intense. I love the movie and have seen it numerous times. The Red Car they talk about is something my Dad rode as a kid in Los Angeles.

Ah, the 'old' Red Car. I rode that when I was a 'very young' child. :rotfl: It used to go from South Orange County all the way to L.A. I barely remember it. There were also a lot of other streetcars in So. California area. Long Beach had a good streetcar network. The automobile killed them off along with help from the oil companies. Southern California had oil derricks everywhere back then. Ah, such memories.

Just little stuff this weekend. I just feel our time together is so limited since he goes to his dad's 3 nights a week. Since we lose that time together, I like to make sure we have lots of fun on the days we're together.

I have actually seriously golfed at WDW but not at Mickey's house. Sounds fun. Maybe we will try it in December if weather is good.

What I use to think was fun on cruises in the olden days was to shoot skeet off the bow!!

We used to do that from the deck of the house. I am still not very good at it. I am better with a rifle at 300 yards.

Yep, as someone who has 'double dipped' I can assure you....IT IS GREAT!

YES it IS ! We DD'd twice. The very first one, on the first DVC members cruise, then Dec '06 with some VWP. It would be great to have a small DVC resort on the other side of the island. But, that might ruin the whole experience. I do like it the way it is. I would love to be able to just spend a week there.
