Welcome home Deb! Glad to hear they let you go home today!

Hi Lisa....I've got in on, but I'm so far behind that I don't know where we're are...that table looks like I have missed quite a few shows....I have them all on Tivo, but I haven't seen them yet. I guess Jen left last and amber and jameka are on the block to go out thursday, but I'm not sure. Got some catching up to do.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hi everyone, just popping in to say "HI". Been super busy with the boys back in school. I'm trying to keep up but boy, you guys have been chatty! I've also had my time taken up by "managing" my mom. She's very upset about the fires in Greece and is concerned for her family and property back there. She's not the type to ever be depressed and this has really gotten to her...I've never seen her like this and am not quite sure what to do make her feel better. It's just a disaster and hard to believe what's happening over there. :sad2:

I've been watching the news, it's devistating over there especially if you still have loved ones. I can understand her being so upset. Can't she reach them by phone to make sure they're ok?

I heard one news report that a farmer was using wine on the fire because he had no more water. How horrible.

Holly-sorry to hear about your tough times with Tyler. Hopefully it will settle down soon and your ex will get on the same page as you!

Noel-sorry to hear about your car and up coming surgery. Bad timing with the car!

Deb-glad your back online posting, sounds like you're on the road to recovery.

Yes I am....it's so nice to be back home.

Everyone else-HI!!!!

Off to get the kids to bed!!

Do you have pics to share of the boys going off to school on their first day?

Good Night Bubba....hugs to your DW....I'm so happy she's back with us on here....we missed her!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

OK, this is where I would love to have our miniDISmeet....I need some Baklava, have you ever tried it? To die for, sooooo decadent, but soooooo necessary in life. For those of you who don't know, it's a Greek desert that my mom always made at home for Greek Easter. It's filo dough (paper thin and coated with butter on both sides) layered like a lasagna with chopped walnuts and cinnamon and I think brown sugar then coated with a honey syrup....it's sweet and chrunchy and mushy all at the same time.

So Heather, want to meet at the Greek bakery????;) ;)

Deb,

When I was in High School, one of my friends and I made Baklava! Neither of us are Greek, and we did NOT have any assistance! My friend had made it before with an Aunt and we just figured it out and made it! If I remember correctly (and it's been MANY years) it was pretty darn good!

I have it whenever I can find it, and I am always hopeful that it will be made well!

Karen

Fingers and toes crossed for you Karen....just think for the 2 tough weeks, you'll get 4 great weeks back! Stay positive!

Sending you more love, hugs and pixie dust!!!  pixiedust:

Deb,

Have been reading through ALL of the posts tonight and I just keep thinking to myself...

...with everything on her plate, all that's been going on, the pain she must be in, she is still so generous of spirit, kind-hearted and full of good thoughts and words for everyone.

I think that you should have your puppies name, Angel Deb.

You truly are a bright light and an inspiration to everyone!

Thanks for all of your  and

Karen

I bought mine from Dell. I got in from the outlet because I don't want windows vista and it is the only way to get one with XP. But I would love a pink one.:thumbsup2

VERY GOOD PLAN! I wish that we had not gotten our new office systems with Vista. It is just so BUGGY!! I HATE VISTA!!

What lovely photos of some handsome guys there!

Yea, you can lead the group!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

 :faint: I will be :tiptoe: past you all.:lmao:

Count me in!!! :cool1: Here's one I remember from Girl Scouts too, but it's not a nursery rhyme. It's a song. I still find myself singing it every now and then if I ever get bored:

"Dark one night, when bed we all were in
Old Leary Mrs. took the shed the lantern in
And when the kick cowed it over, she eyed her wink and said
It'll be a time hot in the town old tonight.
Ifre, ifre, ifre!"

I'm sure some of you are saying, "HUH?!" :rotfl2:

No, don't know that one.

OK you got me Holly...I've never heard of that one.....how about....

On top of old smokey....all covered in cheese....I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed....it rolled off the table and into a bush....and now my poor meatball....is nothing but mush!

Oh yes, we used to sing that over here.

Thanks for the encouraging words and hugs. I am so glad you are on the road to recovery!! Surgery is not until September 17 so I will be here for awhile yet.

Today was my repeat mammogram which went excellently. Tomorrow I have to check in with my regular physician, dermatologist and see about scheduling a routine colonoscopy.

I am dreading the surgery just like you did but being philosophical. I have never been ill in my life or been hospitalized other than pregnancies. I agree the best thing I can do with myself is visualize myself with all of my DIS friends, having a Bellini champagne cocktail as the sun sets into the ocean.

A bit of a trying month for you Noel. Keep looking forward to that cocktail on the ship!! It will soon be October.:yay:

Does anyone know the tag fairy? I wanta get tagged!:rolleyes1 :sad2:

I did think she was cruising with the Eastbounders as they were being tagged left right and centre early on.

There was ten in the bed and the little one said, Roll Over Roll Over
So they all rolled over and one fell out
There was nine in the bed and the little one said, Roll Over Roll Over....
Until there was one in the bed and the little one said, Good Night!

Yes that is one of ours too.:)

It looks truly devastating in Greece and it must be awful for your mother being so far away and not knowing. I feel for the people in Greece as it seems horrific with as they said yesterday half of Greece is on fire! I can't imagine it.

Good morning Marilyn!

I hope you have a lovely day!

Our systems are still down and DH has been working himself to death. I am very woried about his physical and mental health. He has been up all night and he just can't seem to figure out why our systems are not cooperating.:confused3

I hope that he will get a good night sleep and it will all come to him in the morning.:surfweb:

Oh Karen, sorry to hear about your internet problem not getting sorted. It is so worrying when these husbands of ours stress and overwork with these issues. I feel for you both! He must have some time off though or he will be ill.

John has stress issues here too - high blood pressure, headaches, tiredness, high cholesterol(despite not smoking, drinking and eating a good healthy low animal fat diet). It was quite a shock for him. Fortunately our son is now in the business and John can begin cutting down a day soon. Like you, he can work on the business every evening on his computer, and also weekends either in work or not!! He says he wants more holidays!!! There again, they are the only time he switches off.

Please take care both of you, though I realise this internet problem needs to be sorted.

Good Morning Granmaz

I think that Mazzy cancelled her cruise, just her excuse to say that no subtitles etc.:confused3

Look at us my husband, my daughter and I, we all are profoundly deaf and I can speaking so my daughter as she is wearing the Cochlear Implant. My husband cannot talk but he is very popular with people too.

We enjoyed ourselves on the Cruise as we cannot hear or no subtitles on film which didn't bother us as we did had a fabulous times with two an interpreters also plenty things on the Cruise.

We had been twice on Disney Cruise and we were really loved it, nothing spoilt our holiday and cannot wait to go on Panama Canal Cruise and will forward to meet you all.

Well now that I've shipped off the dog down the road and out of the house...I have the cat to deal with. When the doggy is away...the kittie will play...she thinks she now owns the run of the house AND ME! Since getting home yesterday she hasn't left my side. She's up and down and all around me...all I keep doing is saying, No El, No El, Ella No! Unbelievable!:scared1: :sad2: :scared1:
