Hi Jan, Hi Karen, Hi Marilyn, Hi V.....yes, I'm back posting....still in the hospital though....but feeling much better and posting again.

They said I could go home either tomorrow or Wednesday....I hope it's tomorrow.

I'm actually starting to feel like a real person again. Now I want to go on a trip....I was reading about V going to Mickey's World and I thought....gee, it might be nice to just get away from it all after this experience...Mickey's sounds good, I would like to go there.

But Alas, I do have to wait another 2 months....then I do cruise and world and I cannot wait until the day we leave coz I need it bad.

OK, what else is going on in everybody else's lives??????

Karen, Did you get that computer up and running yet?

Deb,

You sound like your ol' self again! So glad!

Me TOO!

Yes our system is back up and running at the moment. We are still having some technical difficulties and DH is at the shop right now (10:30 pm Pacific Time) trying to fix them!

More Pixie Dust coming your way....pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I too am looking forward to the next visit with the mouse in November! We scored the "Roy" for our November 10th cruise! WooHoo!!

OK how can I fit into your suitcases....Oh, all right I'll settle for pics of inside the suite please....thank you!

Continue getting better...

I will, you too!!!!

Karen

HUGS!

Wanted to let everyone who enjoys Greek food know that there is a good Greek restaurant here in Orlando.....close to downtown....called the Greek Corner. I've been there several times and have enjoyed everything I've had there (of course I'm not used to home made Greek food, but it tastes good to me!!).

Thanks for that info Monica, I will definitely have to try it....maybe we could do our miniDISmeet there....hmmmmmm.......:thumbsup2 :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Our website is down again and DH has been up all night trying to fix it.

I am trying to get some work done at home as I am stuck here with out keys to his car; he took mine to the shop.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. This has been a really tough 2 weeks!

Karen

Fingers and toes crossed for you Karen....just think for the 2 tough weeks, you'll get 4 great weeks back! Stay positive!

Sending you more love, hugs and pixie dust!!!  pixiedust:

:lmao: Could be a nursery rhyme meet on the ship!! Can you just see everyone doing these actions to all the rhymes. I will pass by and watch you all!:rotfl2:

Call me crazy but....I can picture us all sitting around the pool, drinking our drinks, doing our rhymes.....and having such great fun!
:hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

Count me in!!! :cool1: Here's one I remember from Girl Scouts too, but it's not a nursery rhyme. It's a song. I still find myself singing it every now and then if I ever get bored:

"Dark one night, when bed we all were in
Old Leary Mrs. took the shed the lantern in
And when the kick cowed it over, she eyed her wink and said
It'll be a time hot in the town old tonight.
Ifre, ifre, ifre!"

I'm sure some of you are saying, "HUH?!" :rotfl2:

Ok Deb, Here goes....

I'M BACK......YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Here's how it goes:

Miss Mary Mack - Mack Mack
All dressed in Black - Black Black
With silver Buttons - Buttons Buttons
All down her Back - Back Back

She jumped so High - High High
She reached the Sky - Sky Sky
And she didn't come Back - Back Back
Til the 4th of July - Lie Lie

I LOVED playing that "game" when I was in elementary school.

 :cloud9:

THAT'S IT!!!! Thanks Deb!

I have been singing this since someone mentioned it, but I could only get throught the first two lines. Thanks for the memory refresher.

YUM YUM....now I'm going to start singing...these are a few of my favorite things...

Wouldn't it be great if we could all get together somewhere in the middle of the country and each bring a dish or two of our favorite ethnic childhood foods. I would love to do that with all of you guys!

I think that would be great fun. Execpt my Granny always told me that I was a heinz 57 mix. But I did marry into a hispanic family and DH has said that I'm getting pretty good with my spanish rice. (which I learned how to make from his mamma). My favorite from my mamma was her potato salad and tuna salad. She always put hard boiled eggs in her tuna. My favorite.
To share my week...I only have to work tomorrow and then I have 5 days off. I plan on power cleaning on Thursday and then take it easy on friday. DH has to work the rest of the week, so I'm on my own for the two days.
I also expect my new laptop to arrive this week.

I am so glad you are home. My only hospital stay was in 93 when I had my gallbladder removed. It was a 2 day stay, so it wasn't too bad.

I also picked up some wine county brochures when I had to stay at a hotel while cleaning out Mom's apartment. I would like to send to you, if you would like them. I know that you had mentioned that you might visit the area while in CA. So if you would like them PM me with a address and I will sent them on to you.
Thanks for encouraging me to get back in the swing my friend.

Hugs back at you and glad you are back with us and home.

Miss Mary Mac
Traditional
Miss Mary Mac, Mac, Mac
All dressed in black, black, black.
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back.
She asked her mother, mother, mother
For 50 cents, cents, cents.
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants
Jump over the fence, fence, fence.
They jumped so high, high, high
They reached the sky, sky, sky
They never came back, back, back
Till the 4th of July, July, July.

Perfect Noel, that's it, verbatim....you see why we need you around here!!!!!
 :cheer2:

What an awesome time you're going to have, great turnout too. I love the idea of the DVD to show at dinner....will it be then or now?....so does that mean you'll be available to do one for us when we do our reunion cruise in say five or ten years??? :rotfl2:

Reunion?? On one of the new ships of course:cool1:

5 days off! You're so lucky! And a new laptop too.....I'm jealous! I'm impatiently waiting for my student loan check October 4th so I can get my new laptop. I fell in love with a pink one from Dell!

Hello everyone! I have been out of town for work 2 of the last 4 weeks and I am the PTA President for DD's Elementary School. Umm.. that has been a challenge. But I think I have regained some semblance of control and I am going to try to catch up. You have been really chatty here lately!

Kim

I bought mine from Dell. I got in from the outlet because I don't want windows vista and it is the only way to get one with XP. But I would love a pink one.:thumbsup2

YEAHHHHHH Venetia is back!!!!!!

Yes, I would love the brochures and I'll PM you my address...would you and Bubba care to join me and John romping through some grapes in your neck of the woods after cruise? Could be a lot of fun, Miss Champagne Girl!
:flower3: :upsidedow :flower3:

OK you got me Holly...I've never heard of that one.....how about....

On top of old smokey....all covered in cheese....I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed....it rolled off the table and into a bush....and now my poor meatball....is nothing but mush!

Not me. I remember this one...just slightly different. We did it as a 'countdown' song, (and without the words jumbled). My old roomate's dad used to do a lot these mixing up the word and they were a hoot! He also always used to say "If we had some eggs we could have some ham & eggs....if we had some ham." Don't know why that always cracked me up!

Well, it's 7:20 and I'm still at work. NOT working....DISing. Got traped on the theme park attractions and strategies thread reading about people's favorit WDW memories. Now I'm HUNGRY and have to hunt down food.

Catch ya later kids! pirate:

OK who has a map...and where is Noel when you need her...what is the most centerpoint of the USA?:confused3 :rolleyes1 :confused3

Oh Noel, it's your turn now isn't it....I'm elated to be home and yet apprehensive for you because I know how bad it is. It's NEVER easy doing any medical procedure. I feel for you, having just gotten out of there. Just know that you have all of us here who care about you and wish you a quick and easy process. Be Brave, Be Strong and think of being on Mickey's ship with us doing fun things, drinking Bellini's and know that you have lots of hugs coming your way! I'll be thinking of you everyday until you get back on these boards and let us know that you're ok. Every time they do something to you that you don't like, don't think about it, just close your eyes and put yourself in a happy place with lots and lots of good friends who really care and are giving you lots of love and hugs! It works, coz that's what I did! Looking forward to hearing that it's over and that you're on the road to a quick recovery!

Thanks for the encouraging words and hugs. I am so glad you are on the road to recovery!! Surgery is not until September 17 so I will be here for awhile yet.

Today was my repeat mammogram which went excellently. Tomorrow I have to check in with my regular physician, dermatologist and see about scheduling a routine colonoscopy.

I am dreading the surgery just like you did but being philosophical. I have never been ill in my life or been hospitalized other than pregnancies. I agree the best thing I can do with myself is visualize myself with all of my DIS friends, having a Bellini champagne cocktail as the sun sets into the ocean.
