Wow...it took me forever to catch up....I've been sitting at the computer trying to catch up with you chatty folks. I could tell already this is going to be a real fun cruise party:

Deb- I'm sooo glad you are feeling better and back on the DIS ...that is the main reason I forced myself to catch up was to see how you were doing. Hope you continue to feel better and get to go home real soon:hug:

lillygator- I know what you mean about socks I always do my whites last just to procrastinate on matching those socks:scared1: But great tips from other DISers I think I'll try throwing them all away and start over with 30 pairs new same socks. Lucky you going to the Gator Game...we get college gameplan so we could watch all of the games out here including the obscure one that are just televised on the sunshine network.;)

Holly-Hang in there with your Tyler...hope the taking all the toys away work. Have you thought of it maybe it's the daycare he's in? Do you think they may have already labeled him as one that acts up and he is fulfilling there expectations? Does he do this at Sunday school/kindergarten and other places too or just the daycare? Maybe he doesn't like it there and maybe he may like a different daycare with more structure? Just a thought. You know as much time and energy as you put into him and with consistancy everything will all work out in the end...its just getting there.:grouphug:

Someone mentioned Tarpons Springs.. a lot of my friends from college where from there and yes they were greek. One of my best friends from high school is greek and when I studied my last Art History class in Rome she was studying abroad in Athens and I went to visit her there and we went island hopping ...I loved Mykonos the best.:cool1: Since she was greek we got great deals on hotels and the food was awesome:thumbsup2 Her mom used to have me over during some of their family functions so I got to eat a lot of the Best Greek food ever:woohoo:

Do you do 'I'm a Little Teapot'? with Tyler?
Sure do! In fact, we were listening to a CD in the car that has that on there, and we just happened to be stopped at a traffic light one time and I did it. He thought I was nuts and told me, "Mom, you can't do that in the car!" :rotfl: But then again, he always looks at me like he thinks I'm nuts because I'm always doing crazy things like that! Kids shows that ask you to play along or do a crazy dance with them, I'm right up there doing it! :lmao:

I've thought about that, but he tells me how much fun he has. His old day care, he would tell me every morning he didn't want to go. But after we switched to our current one, he would get upset about missing days there (weekends, holidays, etc.). I would chalk it up to not being happy at day care, but that's not the only place he acts out like that. He does it at his dad's too. Even at my sisters once.

I think having no toys may be sinking in. He was literally walking in circles a bit ago for about 10 minutes! LOL! I shouldn't laugh about it, but then he sat down next to me and said, "Mom, know why I helped you box all my stuff up? 'Cause I didn't know it would be like this!" :rotfl2: So he climbed back into his empty toy box again to think some more. ;)

wow - combing 2-8 year olds? That is quite a span!!

Poor guy! How much longer til school starts?

I can't believe it's 3 pm! Where did today go? I am working til 5 or so....then gassing up the car, picking up the girls and swim/party the night away! (read - wear them out so they will hit the hay and I can pack and straighten up!)

Yeah, the only separate room they have now is for the babies. Doesn't make sense to me at all.

He only has 4 more days there.....EVER....because school starts the day after Labor Day. He's counting down the days!

Holly - sorry you & Tyler have had such a rough day today.....hopefully he will "get it" now that he realizes what his consequence is/was. I did get a chuckle though picturing him sitting in his empty toy chest :rotfl:

It really was funny seeing him sitting in it! I felt bad for laughing, but it's better than being stressed out and upset. I thought for sure I'd cry, feeling bad about taking ALL his stuff. I felt bad for a minute, but seeing how good natured he was about it helped. Either he really understands what's happening and why, or he just doesn't give a rip (which would be awful).

that's good he's noticing...hopefully he'll be earning one toy every day and who know's by the time the cruise rolls around he may have earned all his toys back;)

He's not going on this cruise. I just couldn't afford 2 people, 2 airfares, 2 passports, etc. :sad2: Plus it's my sanity cruise! :goodvibes No being a mom for 15 days! :yay:

Tyler wants to go on the first new ship and has already started saving money!

No, that must be one of yours.

OK I see you already answered this...Miss Mary Mack was done while doing a hand clapping kind of thingy with another person or persons...or sometimes while jumping rope. Another one we did while jumping rope was....ie, I'll use my name....John and Debbie sitting in a tree....K - I- S -S -I -N -G....first comes love, then comes marriage then comes John in a baby carriage.

Baa Baa Black Sheep
Ring a Ring O Roses
London Bridge is Falling Down
Rockaby Baby

Any of those?

Yea, I love those....it brings back so many memories.

How about .... A tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket....
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Oh boy.....boredom is setting in. "All my toys got taken away because of you!" Umm..yeah, sure. Mom was so bad at work, all Tyler's toys got taken away. :rotfl:

Good thing it's snack time! That will kill a bit of time. Then I guess we can read some books to kill more time.

Well Finally....a confirmation....We're out of here tomorrow....We're going home tomorrow....anytime after 11:00am the doctor signs you out, then case management sets up your aftercare, then they let you out of jail and back to your life. YEAHHHHHHHHH....I couldn't be happier. I will lock up the puppy and not let her near me.

I'll have to do wound care three times a week to change dressings and continue antibiotics orally. I can do that. Then I get to be back at home with my sweetie, my Tivo, my DISers, my Ella and Angel, my to do list, which has been put on hold and I can now get back to.....it'll be nice to be surrounded by all my favorite things.
:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:

Marilyn.....did you grow up playing "elastics"? At least this is what WE called it....I went to a British school in Brasil and grew up with this. We had a big piece of elastic (I guess, but we could also use rope) that 2 people would hold (starting low around the ankles, then going higher and higher) and then 1 person would jump across. I'm probably not describing it well, but it was loads of fun!
