Well Finally....a confirmation....We're out of here tomorrow....We're going home tomorrow....anytime after 11:00am the doctor signs you out, then case management sets up your aftercare, then they let you out of jail and back to your life. YEAHHHHHHHHH....I couldn't be happier. I will lock up the puppy and not let her near me.

I'll have to do wound care three times a week to change dressings and continue antibiotics orally. I can do that. Then I get to be back at home with my sweetie, my Tivo, my DISers, my Ella and Angel, my to do list, which has been put on hold and I can now get back to.....it'll be nice to be surrounded by all my favorite things.
:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:

GREAT news Deb! I know how it feels to be around "your" stuff!

There is this kids page on the Panama Canal website too

http://www.pancanal.com/eng/persona/k/index.html

thanks for the link...I can't wait to check it out:thumbsup2

Sorry I'm so slow responding to things but I feel like I live in grand central station sometimes....doorbell ringing, phone ringing, kids, and of course all the things I'm suppose to be doing but procrastinate on doing:sad2: I actually have an extra child for a little while which you would think would be more work but its not....its turned into a playdate for my DD.:cool1: My friend called that her son was sick(not contagious) and she needed me to watch him for a little while because she had to go to work. Don't want him to be sick from school but my DD has a ball playing with him...I told her anytime.;) I was suppose to be picking up my wallet but the day is almost gone now. I lost my wallet yesterday:scared1: and I called the restaurant we went to yesterday and looked everywhere and my DH found it this morning but I have to drive across town to pick it up and I don't like the idea of driving without my license...with my luck I'll get stopped:eek: On the upside I know where it is and its safe...oh and my big $ disney gift card wasn't there it was safe at home;)

Heather, now that I know you live close by....you're certainly invited to come and meet UKAngel/Mandy who was going on this cruise, but had to cancel. Me and John will be there and we would LOVE to meet you and Tom and Bethany. If you can't make it Thurs Nov 1, how about doing the MNSSHP with us on Fri Nov 2? It'll be our first time doing it. Either way, we'll be at World at the beginning of November and we'll be in Bradenton/Orlando after Turkey day. Let us know what's good for you as the time gets closer and maybe we can work out a miniDISmeet with you guys too.

Woohoo, brilliant news Deb! Nothing like being at home, but they have done a lot for you in 4/5 days. So pleased you will be back where you belong.

Marilyn.....did you grow up playing "elastics"? At least this is what WE called it....I went to a British school in Brasil and grew up with this. We had a big piece of elastic (I guess, but we could also use rope) that 2 people would hold (starting low around the ankles, then going higher and higher) and then 1 person would jump across. I'm probably not describing it well, but it was loads of fun!

No, I didn't play that game. I seem to remember a similar one though, but I didn't play. We did skipping a lot, particularly with 2 people holding the rope and others skipping to rhymes etc.

I'm glad you get to go home:woohoo: Hope you take care of yourself and follow Dr's orders:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

deb, is there any chance you could sneak some greek cooking on the plane in may?:lmao:
Greek food is very popular here and we have Tarpon Springs with the sponge docks and alot of little greek restaurants. Have been trying to be good but had a gyro and mini greek salad today ! YUMMMMM

We're driving, not flying for the first leg of this trip...no problem bringing food in the car, but won't be able to get it on the boat. We will have to arrange another time when John can cook for us...mom taught him just about everything she knows...and what he doesn't know, I know.

What area of FL are you in? I'm not sure where Tarpon Spring is??? :yay: :cool2: :yay:

Heather asked me to post this pic of Bethany & Tyler. That night hey stayed up until close to 2am I think! They had a blast dancing and playing.

TylerBethany.jpg

YUP, he's smitten! Any boy that will dance....at five years old....touching a girl....he's smitten, you can just see it in his face, he's lovin it!!!

It's hard to tell how Bethany feels coz it's the only pic I've seen of her....although....anything with a boy at nine years old is MAJOR!!!!!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I've never been there... from the people I know that are from there say its near Tampa. They say there is a large Greek community there and they are known for their sponges...my cousins wife is from there and yes she's Greek too;)

One of our favourite baby rhymes with actions is This Little Piggy.

With each piggy you twiddle a different toe, then on the last one, after twiddling the little toe, run your fingers up the legs and body to tickle the neck. They do love it.

This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed at home
This little piggy had roast beef
This little piggy had none
and
This little piggy went weeeeeeeeee....all the way home.

Please, please, let this NOT be a different meanings over there!!

Nope, this one is exactly the same....but the spider is....the itsey bitsey spider and we do hand movements to show the words.:teacher: :woohoo: :teacher:

Wow...it took me forever to catch up....I've been sitting at the computer trying to catch up with you chatty folks. I could tell already this is going to be a real fun cruise party:

Not going to be one dull moment on this cruise....lots of love and hugs and chatting to go around!

Deb- I'm sooo glad you are feeling better and back on the DIS ...that is the main reason I forced myself to catch up was to see how you were doing. Hope you continue to feel better and get to go home real soon:hug:

Wow, that's so sweet of you...and yes all the pixie dust and positive prayers worked because I'm out of here tomorrow! Thanks for all your warm wishes!

lillygator- I know what you mean about socks I always do my whites last just to procrastinate on matching those socks:scared1: But great tips from other DISers I think I'll try throwing them all away and start over with 30 pairs new same socks. Lucky you going to the Gator Game...we get college gameplan so we could watch all of the games out here including the obscure one that are just televised on the sunshine network.;)

Holly-Hang in there with your Tyler...hope the taking all the toys away work. Have you thought of it maybe it's the daycare he's in? Do you think they may have already labeled him as one that acts up and he is fulfilling there expectations? Does he do this at Sunday school/kindergarten and other places too or just the daycare? Maybe he doesn't like it there and maybe he may like a different daycare with more structure? Just a thought. You know as much time and energy as you put into him and with consistancy everything will all work out in the end...its just getting there.:grouphug:

Someone mentioned Tarpons Springs.. a lot of my friends from college where from there and yes they were greek. One of my best friends from high school is greek and when I studied my last Art History class in Rome she was studying abroad in Athens and I went to visit her there and we went island hopping ...I loved Mykonos the best.:cool1: Since she was greek we got great deals on hotels and the food was awesome:thumbsup2 Her mom used to have me over during some of their family functions so I got to eat a lot of the Best Greek food ever:woohoo:

Now that's a place I would like to go to....can some one tell me where in FL this is?

How lucky of you to have a best friend to got to the Islands with. I'm looking for DCL to do a Greek Island cruise....so I can say that I love Mykonos the best too....I got to grow up on my mom's best Greek food ever....I feel very fortunate! :goodvibes

Did anyone see on the main cruise page how the DL hotel renamed their towers. They are now Magic, Wonder, and Dreams. New ship name or not?

I've thought about that, but he tells me how much fun he has. His old day care, he would tell me every morning he didn't want to go. But after we switched to our current one, he would get upset about missing days there (weekends, holidays, etc.). I would chalk it up to not being happy at day care, but that's not the only place he acts out like that. He does it at his dad's too. Even at my sisters once.

I think having no toys may be sinking in. He was literally walking in circles a bit ago for about 10 minutes! LOL! I shouldn't laugh about it, but then he sat down next to me and said, "Mom, know why I helped you box all my stuff up? 'Cause I didn't know it would be like this!" :rotfl2: So he climbed back into his empty toy box again to think some more. ;)

My heart just breaks for him....what a sweet soul trying to figure it all out....I believe there is a tangible reason coz the kid is just too good at being a Mr. Mom and taking on so much responsibility for himself....he's too sweet and caring and reflective and it's just not in his personality. There is a real reason and the poor little guy is just trying to figure it out. Hugs for Tyler that he gets his answers quickly. :grouphug:
