I am so jealous of the BB after dark, lol.
You don't get it where you are??? You are really missing out because it's sometimes better than the show and is getting more heated up now. I wish they had it for the all stars last year.....that was the best BB ever!!!

I get to book my Halloween cruise on-line booking stuff on the 29th, I thought it would be the Monday morning, but it is Sunday morning. Anyone want to hang out with me in the chat room? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I would love to hang out and chat with you PJ, but my cruise leaves one day after yours so I have to wait until 12:00 midnight Monday 30th to book.....but I will be sitting on my oceanfront balcony in Cocoa Beach waving to you as the Magic passes by when you leave port.
:hippie: :goodvibes :hippie:

Well, I just cancelled my 11/24/07 cruise. :sad2: I realized there's no way I can come up with $3,000.00 by Sept. 10 and still be able to pay for this cruise. And this one is more important! :thumbsup2 However, I'll still going on vacation that week, since I already have it off work. St. Thomas has always been my favorite spot, especially the view from the top of Paradise Point. Well, look what I stumbled across for $500/week:

http://www.paradisepointtramway.com/cottage.html

WAY within my budget! In fact, my deposit I'll be getting back from cancelling the cruise will pay for a week at that cottage! :woohoo: And if I can convince my mom or a friend to join me, the cost will only be $250 each. Of course, it depends on whether I can book that same week. Their schedule on the Paradise Point Tramway shows it open that week, but I haven't had a response yet from me e-mail to them. So please keep your fingers crossed that I get to book that week and snatch it up before anybody else does! :goodvibes

Wow Holly that looks lovely. It should make up a little for not doing the cruise.

Kaylee,
Which reunion (in years) did you go to? I have my 40th  high school reunion coming up in Sept! My class has had only one previous reunion at 10 years. I'm on the committee so it won't be a total shock when I go as I'm seeing pictures as they come in, etc. Your comment of "every emotion under the sun" really struck me...I'm sure that'll be my experience, too. I'm looking forward to it; I have nothing but good memories of high school, my class was small (130) so I knew almost everyone and didn't have any "bad blood" with anyone (that I know of!)--but I'm still nervous about it in a way. The only thing that would not be plesant is if my ex-husband comes with his wife, the "other woman". But it'll be a big enough gathering that I'm sure I can avoid them. ;)

It was my 19th:lmao: I went to a very small public school in CT (my graduating class had around 60-70 kids) so we held a multi-year reunion (1986-1992). It was the first reunion that we have had so it was interesting. Only 20 of my class came though, so not that many that I graduated with...but with a school that small we knew everyone. Hope you have a great time at yours!

I'm pretty excited! I'm a bit worried about why it's so cheap, but I do notice the cottage doesn't list air conditioning on its list of amenities, so I suppose that's a small catch. However, I don't mind a bit. I don't plan on spending the whole day every day cooped up inside! I'll only be in there to sleep, which will of course be in the evening, so it will be cooler at that time.

And after factoring in airfare, I'm still saving around $3,000.00 by doing this instead of my November cruise. :yay:

Life Lesson learned the hard way!!!
Thought I would share a funny (and not so funny) story with you all. So, the lesson I learned is that dead bees still can sting!:scared1: And no, I wasn't trying to prove that theory when it happened. Scott and I were walking along the beach in my hometown when I fell to the ground thinking a crab had bitten my toe. Ended up being a dead bee that had washed ashore and stung me:sad2: I was doing well with after walking back along the beach in the salt water to help the sting...but yesterday, my foot was so swollen on the plane I spent the 5 hour flight sitting with ice on it trying to help the swelling. I couldn't even get my flipflop back on to walk off the plane:lmao:

So...watch out for dead bees......

WOW!! Keep us posted. Looks like quite a place. If you get to go we would ALL LOVE TO HEAR the details!! Cost of airfare, duration of flight, size of plane, transfers or non-stop, things to do in St. Thomas when you are there for a week, ALL OF IT!

I am leaving Saturday for a week in Cozumel on a missions project helping a small congregation there to build a church building. We are flying FRONTIER nonstop from Indianapolis to Cancun and then take the ferry to Cozumel. So, I will have some more current FRONTIER AIRLINES information when I get back July 28.

That sounds interesting Jan. Are there many going with you? Hope the trip all goes well and is successful.

Our church sent some people over to Zambia in Africa to help with some work on an orphanage, and our pastor had been to support churches in Tanzania too.

A group of teenagers are there now--I do not remember how many went. They are doing a Vacation Bible School and some construction. There are 21 adults going Saturday to work on building the church.

Great that your church helps in Zambia and Tanzania. So much need in so many places.

Well, it looks like flights average just under $500 (including taxes) from Detroit to St. Thomas, so that's about what I expected. I'm still saving thousands by doing that instead of the Nov. cruise. Duration of flight: The particular one I'm looking at with Spirit leaves Detroit at 6:45am and arrives on St. Thomas at 2:25pm with an hour layover in Miami.

I haven't asked anybody to join me yet...waiting to see if I can indeed book that particular week.

As far as things to do there all week, ALL of the excursions in St. Johns and St. Thomas that I've considered when visiting there on cruises, but never had a chance to do all of them yet! ;) Plus a whole lot of laying around, enjoying the scenery, drinking lots of Bushwackers!

Well, hopefully I can get a friend to join me so we'll have lots of fun pictures! I'm thinking of asking my best friend Shelly who works lots of double shifts as a nurse and has 3 young kids at home. If anybody needs or deserves a vacation somewhere so beautiful and peaceful, SHE DOES! She's NEVER been on a vacation, other than taking her kids once to WDW. There was no relaxing on that trip for her!

Hmmm.....not too sure about the airport on St. Thomas. I'll be afraid the plane misses the runway and lands in the water!

Thanks. Just doing what I think I am supposed to be doing that week.

Can Shelly get away? Can someone keep the kids for a week? Would she want to go? Some ladies seem overwhelmed but, as much as they need to unload verbally, they also do not want to miss a single "mommy minute." Others want to get away for breaks and they cope better with the kiddos if they do. Each mommy is different.

Yup, she's been dying to get away. Her kids can stay with their dad. She's always talking about how she wishes we could go somewhere together and escape being moms for a bit. But she hasn't had the extra money to join me in the past. From our past discussions about trying to get away, this would be within her budget too. :thumbsup2 So we'll see. Otherwise, my other option would be to invite my mom. If all else fails, I'd really enjoy going alone too! I'd get lots of studying done that way!

For all of you Harry Potter fans (since Friday is the big day), here is a photo Alex had taken at King's Cross Station . . .

Wow! That looks great. I know you were looking forward to the November cruise but this one is only 298 days away!!! :yay: It will come sooner that you know and what a great place to spend a vacation while you wait!

I told him to get this picture, which he told me was NOT easy with traffic!

Holly, I am hoping to visit the Paradise Point tram in October, I will take some pics so you can see what the site is like just before you go.

John, very cool pictures!
