Well, all, I'm in th hospital and have been told that I have 3 small tumors in my brain. They believe they are mastastisized from another part of the body. I've been though two ct scans and 1 mri. and they still can't find where it might have come from. Tomorrow I will be going in for surgury to remove 2 of the tumors in the cerabellam. Then both the area of removale and the other tumor higher in the head will be treated with radiation. and then kemo. In the meantime they hope to find out from biopsying the two they remove where in the body it came from.

This is going to be a very long journey and me and my family will need all the strength we can get. Prays please.

This cruise is what will keep me going/

Will update as soon as more is known.

Thanks Tina

Tina,

Many prayers for you thru this and for your family too.

Pixie Dust coming your way.

Nan

Tina, you will be in my prayers :grouphug:

Nan, did I see a picture of you on the DCL picture a day thread?

Thank you for your positive thoughts and kind comments about us as grandparents.

I flew in with the kids and the ride was smooth as glass. They loved getting to the front of the line with FlyClear. Of course waiting an hour and a half was not the easiest but a Starbuck's frappachino helped. All of them loved the brand new Escalade that I rented from Hertz with all the accoutrements!!

The kids made friends at the airport who shared their food with them on the plane. One man (about 20) told me my GK's were the bomb!! When Spencer told him we were going to ride in a limo to pick up my DH, he told Spencer the cardinal rule for riding in a limo was to push all the buttons!!

We have had some great fun times all ready. The bellman just love the kids and of course, the limo ride with all the orange juice and cranberry juice you can drink was a hit!!

Couldn't get them to go to sleep until about 1 AM but I was up by 7AM!! The rest of them are sleeping so I have a few minutes to chat.

Not much time to post but I will try to keep up!!

Noel

Sounds like a very successful travelling day Noel. How exciting for your grandchildren to ride in the limo too.

Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you don't wear yourself out.

Guilty as charged....it was Xmas Night and my DIS friend Aisling and I had our hair up done like princesses...I think mine was Cinderella...I loved it. The curls lasted 2 or 3 days. I'm for sure using the hair salon again on the repo for Formal night.

We are headed over to the coast with our friends for the day...should be a good time, we haven't been there with them since they had their 1st over 3 years ago...now they have 2 a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. Wilson and their son Jonathon are great friends. Time to pack it up.

Have a good day everyone,

Nan

Sorry to have been missing in action for the past couple of weeks. Things have been crazy busy with our rental properties and DH has been out of town quite a bit. We also have been away on vacation. Just got back from a week of sailing in the British Virgin Islands. Great fun, beautiful beaches, but hot, hot, hot. I'm glad to be home, actually. DH and the boys are the sailors of the family, and I go along with it. I love the beaches, tropical drinks, and great snorkeling. Don't like cooking in that tiny galley and feeling like I'm constantly covered in sunscreen, sand, & saltwater. I guess I'm more of a cruise ship kind of gal. ;)

Next vacation is WDW in November. Can't wait. :cool1:

I don't think I can read everything that has been going on, but I'll try to do a bit of catching up.

Hmmm.....Is it just me or does this guy  seem to be dancing much faster than usual?

Or maybe I've just had too many beers! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Saw Wicked today with my mom.....I got the tickets for her Mother's Day gift. It was the best show I've ever seen! (Well, 2nd to Cats). I DEFINITELY want to see Wicked again! My mom mentioned maybe going to see it in Chicago some weekend soon. :woohoo:

Popping in to say hi before I hit the airport. I just finished my reunion weekend in CT.....system overload:confused3 :cool1: :sad2: :scared1: I think I went through every emotion under the sun. It was great to see people...some changed incredibly and others stayed exactly the same. Now I get to hit beach traffic and drive from my hometown to Newark...what fun. A 2 hour drive normally, could take up to 4 with all the new yorker's leaving the beach and heading home for the work week.

 and pixiedust: to Noel and your family, Tina and Leslie's daughter. If I missed anyone, sorry. Best wishes for speedy recoveries and great outcomes!

Kaylee,
Which reunion (in years) did you go to? I have my 40th  high school reunion coming up in Sept! My class has had only one previous reunion at 10 years. I'm on the committee so it won't be a total shock when I go as I'm seeing pictures as they come in, etc. Your comment of "every emotion under the sun" really struck me...I'm sure that'll be my experience, too. I'm looking forward to it; I have nothing but good memories of high school, my class was small (130) so I knew almost everyone and didn't have any "bad blood" with anyone (that I know of!)--but I'm still nervous about it in a way. The only thing that would not be plesant is if my ex-husband comes with his wife, the "other woman". But it'll be a big enough gathering that I'm sure I can avoid them. ;)

Noel, your description of your trip w/the grandkids made me think of a wonderful trip my grandparents took us on. I think it was '62 or '63, they took the oldest 5 grandkids (2 cousins, me and my older siblings) to Seattle for the World's Fair. The only one who didn't get to go was my youngest sister (below)--she was only about 4 at the time. She never lets us forget that either!:lmao:

It was such a wonderful trip and fortunately I was old enough that I remember a lot about it. As I get older I can really appreciate what an undertaking it was for them to do this! One of the things that stands out is that my grandfather made a point of us taking every mode of transportation that was available at the time--plane, train, taxi, bus, ferry, ship...and limo! It was my first ever ride in a limo (not that I've had many since) and I remember being in awe. :cloud9:
