OK, let's see if I can do this and keep it from being censored . . .
Oregon State is Playing UC Irvine. I don't know if it is the first time in history this has happened, but on the field is a team with jerseys that read "Eaters", and the other team's jerseys read "Beavers".
Oregon State is winning right now (6-1), so I guess you could say in a twist of fate that the Beavers are giving the Eaters a licking.
(Forgive me Angie - no control - it was just too funny and obvious)
I WILL exercise control on this one.

Deb,
The other girl he has a child with is Greek . . .
She is a real "hot tamale" . . . Nikki Giavasis:

Yeah, someone in our house made some comments sorta like what John said . . . . but it wasn't worded quite the same!
Have noticed over time John and Shawn really have a similar sense of humor.
As stated before, we don't like stinkin Beavers!
I don't know about that John! I saw her on our local news just before I read this....SCARYYYYY! Looked like some plastic surgery gone wrong!![]()
Well, you know what they say, One Man's hot tamale is another man's refried beans!
Anyone going to a Harry Potter party for the release? My son and I have the night all planned - 9pm-midnight at a bookstore. Should be fun!![]()
What is the official date for the book release? They have changed it so many times...I have a bad feeling it is happening on a weekend when we are going to be campingDD9 and I usually go to a bookstore for a party at midnight with a friend and her DD10. Then I have the bad habit of getting home around 1 or 2 am and staying up until the book is done, which means I don't get to sleep at all.
I saw the preview of the movie this weekend, it looks so good!

Noel checking in for a quick post on what is happening in our lives.
I haven't been posting but have been reading. I saw my surgeon yesterday and had an EKG in preparation for the surgery. Since gall bladder surgery is not an emergency at this point (not having an attack now) but elective, I have to wait until the cardiologist reads my EKG before I can schedule the surgery. Not much energy and having to eat an extremely bland diet is not fun!!
My SIL still has health issues and now there is some concern about his kidney function which is ruining their summer. GS made the All Star Team in Brentwood and we are very proud.
I saw Lisa's post about the boat trip on the Tahoe Queen. We did the MS Dixie with Samantha when she was 4 in 1990 and have the sketch of her and her Dad hanging on the wall. Sam spent the entire trip looking for Tahoe Tessie.
Thanks for the tip on the local safari. I need to check it out for the GK's.
Last but not least, Cheryl (sister) called and said pipes must have froze and burst in laundry room at house in Lake Almanor so had to call a plumber. She forgot to turn water on lawn in May so lawn is dead. Sigh....hope I feel well enough this summer to go up and get yard cleaned up.
Will try to at least read and keep up.
Not sure if anyone else answered yet but will post this info:

This got me thinking. Shall we share what cruise lines we have been on? Is anyone here a DCL virgin? It wasn't until 2005 (17 years after my graduation) that I finally got to go on a cruise (3d Wonder). DH actually wanted it to be a "surprise" but he had me book it since he knew I would know where to get the best deals![]()

Kaylee, I have wanted to go on cruises since I was 12 and once I had some freedom (college) off I went. Almost every vacation we have taken is cruise related. I have a RCCL credit card! I just love them...love the wind against my face, love sitting in a lounge and watching the water pass me by, love walking to dinner and suddenly seeing dolphins jumping beside me. 15 nights...this will be the longest cruise ever. I can't wait! Lisa
