You're welcome Holly!:rotfl:

OK, let's see if I can do this and keep it from being censored . . .

Oregon State is Playing UC Irvine. I don't know if it is the first time in history this has happened, but on the field is a team with jerseys that read "Eaters", and the other team's jerseys read "Beavers".

Oregon State is winning right now (6-1), so I guess you could say in a twist of fate that the Beavers are giving the Eaters a licking.

(Forgive me Angie - no control - it was just too funny and obvious)

I WILL exercise control on this one.

Yeah, someone in our house made some comments sorta like what John said . . . . but it wasn't worded quite the same!

Have noticed over time John and Shawn really have a similar sense of humor.

As stated before, we don't like stinkin Beavers:rolleyes1 !

OMG...that's hysterical...I didn't even see it that way. We were watching earlier but then Mark took to boys to Grammy's for a visit and I decided to have quiet time and check the thread, so I shut the TV off.

Can't wait to meet Shawn! Sounds like a great guy, with a wonderful sense of humor!:rolleyes1

I don't know about that John! I saw her on our local news just before I read this....SCARYYYYY! Looked like some plastic surgery gone wrong!:scared1:

Well, you know what they say, One Man's hot tamale is another man's refried beans!

Who the heck says that!:lmao: :rotfl2: I'm not sayin' she's not a hot tamale on her web site, Im just thinking she doesn't have any recent pictures on there.

Anyone going to a Harry Potter party for the release? My son and I have the night all planned - 9pm-midnight at a bookstore. Should be fun! :wizard:

I will, but I'll probably be working it, not participating! but hey, that means I get the book right after we close, and get an uninterrupted day to read it!

What is the official date for the book release? They have changed it so many times...I have a bad feeling it is happening on a weekend when we are going to be camping :sad2: DD9 and I usually go to a bookstore for a party at midnight with a friend and her DD10. Then I have the bad habit of getting home around 1 or 2 am and staying up until the book is done, which means I don't get to sleep at all.
I saw the preview of the movie this weekend, it looks so good!

the official date is 12:01 AM Saturday July 21st, which means the festivities will be on friday night july 20th.....When the fourth book came out we had a big party at midnight, blah blah blah. the next night as we were walking out of the store at midnight after closing and cleaning it, there was a woman with her two kids waiting outside. they got the days confused, it was kind of sad....

Im off to my 4th of 10 overnights at work, have a great night!

Noel checking in for a quick post on what is happening in our lives.

I haven't been posting but have been reading. I saw my surgeon yesterday and had an EKG in preparation for the surgery. Since gall bladder surgery is not an emergency at this point (not having an attack now) but elective, I have to wait until the cardiologist reads my EKG before I can schedule the surgery. Not much energy and having to eat an extremely bland diet is not fun!!

My SIL still has health issues and now there is some concern about his kidney function which is ruining their summer. GS made the All Star Team in Brentwood and we are very proud.

I saw Lisa's post about the boat trip on the Tahoe Queen. We did the MS Dixie with Samantha when she was 4 in 1990 and have the sketch of her and her Dad hanging on the wall. Sam spent the entire trip looking for Tahoe Tessie.

Thanks for the tip on the local safari. I need to check it out for the GK's.

Last but not least, Cheryl (sister) called and said pipes must have froze and burst in laundry room at house in Lake Almanor so had to call a plumber. She forgot to turn water on lawn in May so lawn is dead. Sigh....hope I feel well enough this summer to go up and get yard cleaned up.

Will try to at least read and keep up.

Thanks so much for the post! I was getting worried. GS is so cute. We are set to go to the Safariwest last week-end in July. I'll be sure to post a report. They are completely booked for week-ends until Aug. 25. So we are going on a Sunday. I have heard that it is only a one night trip - maybe combine it with other sites in the area. I am so looking forward to this cruise trip! We are not taking any big trips this summer or having the kids in tons of camps in order to make this work and it is hard. My eldest complained today that all they do is play in the house and then go to our club to swim. I tell you - I'd love to have that complaint! But I do feel guilty not doing a big summer trip. We are going to Tahoe for a week over 4th of July. That should be fun.

I loved the Love Boat! We sailed on her sister ship, Island Princess, in 1998 on a 14 day cruise from Athens-Rome, stopping in Israel and Egypt. I remember riding camels with the performers on the ship (we were in our 20s and the only other people in the 20s where those working on the ship!). We had a great time---although one singer kept hitting on my DH! She got him in the talent show and I have great pictures of him as John Travola. However, everytime I see the photo I think of that little blonde hitting on my DH! Speaking of talent shows, are we going to arrange one? I think it would be great fun to do some big sort of production, maybe kids included? A dance, song, ????

It wasn't until 2005 (17 years after my graduation) that I finally got to go on a cruise (3d Wonder). DH actually wanted it to be a "surprise" but he had me book it since he knew I would know where to get the best deals:lmao:
This got me thinking. Shall we share what cruise lines we have been on? Is anyone here a DCL virgin?

I'll start:
2 Princess Cruises: Island Princess and one ship I can't think of the name (college)
2 NCL: Norway and one ship I can't remember (college again - says something eh? :lmao: )
1 Celebrity, Century
2 Disney, Magic (Eastern & Mexican)
4 RCCL: Majesty of the Seas (1- honeymoon), Rhapsody of the Seas (2), Grandeur of the Seas (1)

Wish list: Silverseas, Cunard (why not??)
Favorite: DCL (what would you expect???)

Kaylee, I have wanted to go on cruises since I was 12 and once I had some freedom (college) off I went. Almost every vacation we have taken is cruise related. I have a RCCL credit card! I just love them...love the wind against my face, love sitting in a lounge and watching the water pass me by, love walking to dinner and suddenly seeing dolphins jumping beside me. 15 nights...this will be the longest cruise ever. I can't wait! Lisa

I have dreamed of cruising, but never had the chance until now. Until the last 3 years my family was all over the place so every vacation we got was spent visiting family. Now...I am hoping the whole family falls in love with cruising after this one and we can start experiencing it more often.
