It was a beautiful day here in Bethany Beach...even with 8 teenage boys!! They are off in Ocean City MD now ..... they are having fun and asked if they can come back for the 4th of July

I fured out that Daniel leaves for college in about 9 weeks.....

Oh ooooooo here they come in now.....have to run back to my bedroom....

I was serious:mad: , racist comments suck!

Bubba,

I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else - the comment was not meant as racist, but rather I was poking fun at people who DO think that way. Often written comments on the internet cannot be fully understood in the context of the writer, and I should know better than that.

I know you do not know me, if you did, you may have understood the context that I meant the comment in. I grew up being "different" and while it was not a racial but rather an ethnic thing, the sting when I was a child hurt no less. Regardless of that, I grew up in a family where many people were racist, and as a young child (because of my mother's influence on me) I would argue with adults about the comments that they would make. I have vivid memories of those arguments.

In our own town, I have been a member of the Board of Directors of the Urban League, and as a school board member I always take into consideration the diversity of our school district.

Two of our nieces (whose lives I believe were saved by adoption) are African-American and were adopted by my sister in law.

In all, I am not telling you all of this to explain myself, but rather to let you know me better, and so that you can believe that I would have never meant the comment the way that you interpreted it.

I agree with you that racist comments suck, and those who use them in that context deserve criticism. Sorry.

Apology accepted!:thumbsup2 Would be very sad :sad1:for you if you were THAT type of person. Glad that you're not!:goodvibes

I forgot to tell you guys that Bobby has lots of relatives. Just like some other ethnic groups, some people say it is hard to tell Bobby from the other bananas, at least until you get to know him.

I'm looking forward to meeting Bobby and getting to know him. Will his relatives be traveling with him on this cruise? It would be nice to meet them also.

I picked up a few of his "body doubles" before I left the office tonight. We may get him around the country sooner than I thought!

That's great news! I would love to see pics of his families' travel adventures.

Thanks Bubba . . .

You have no idea how upset it made me to be thought of that way. It would make me physically ill for someone to truly believe that I would be racist. It goes against the grain of everything I have believed in all my life.

I don't fault you for calling me out on it though.

Tolerance for truly hurtful words and thoughts against a person or a people are the first steps toward hurtful actions and deeds. I'm glad that there are people like you who do not tolerate that behavior, and are not afraid to question someone's actions.

Can't wait to meet you.

You guys have probably seen this before, but just in case, it is rather amusing and truthful . . .

   Never saw this before but LOL coz it's so true!!!

Don't all you women start throwing stuff at me at once . . .

It's not your fault John, men are from mars....:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm going to copy it and send it to some friends...it should be shared so the women of the world can really understand the male psyche.:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Nan 5'2" (eyes of blue)
Paul 5'8"
Miss Molly 4'9" (expected to be 5'8 -5'10" said her Dr. when she was 2!)
Wilson 4' (actually 47.5", he was measured tonight as we had to buy a theme park ticket based on height, go figure)

I resemble that remark... or at least my mortgage does.

Our prop taxes are 1.25%, with a decent house at +$1Mil, do the math, too much...

I have to make an effort to find a way to see Delaware in the next few years, it does sound good for retirement.

Nan, we could have our own little DIS village...
:grouphug: :cheer2: :grouphug:

School is out for us in one week, then manically getting ready for China. I'll be checking as I can, could ya pm me too if anything of substance or a reply is needed. Please & Thanks !

Consider it done!:thumbsup2 :dance3: :thumbsup2

Perhaps Bobby clone would like to make a trip to China???? John???? Is the Great Wall calling him? or perhpas HK disneyland??

Would LOVE to see Bobby visit the Great Wall and HK DL....I'd look forward to that trip report and pics.

Good morning. Beautiful day here but we are going to spend 5 hours of it driving down south!

Have a great trip.:)

Now even I am thinking this would be nice!

Marilyn, you would always have your pick of places to stay when you visit if we have our own little DIS village.
 :woohoo:

Hope your drive went quickly and that you're enjoying your time with John's mom.:flower3: :yay: :flower3:
