That banana in Jack's hand is his little friend. This Jack likes to eat apples.pirate:

thank heavens I have been planning an attack to rescue little bobby from jack, but since he'll be not eaten I'll relieve myself of duties...:lmao:

no one has an apple as a friend do they????

Hi all,

I wanted you to be the first to know that because of DH's job change, we will be cancelling this cruise. :sad1:

So sorry to hear you're leaving us, but new plans sound great. Let us know how your trip goes too, ok?

Did anyone watch Pirate Master last Thurs night???? It's a new "survivor like" reality show by Mark Burnett. I watched it and thought it was great. They really search for treasure on a pirate ship. Can't wait to see it again this Thurs....then again, I'm a reality show junkee!!!!!:hippie: :flower3: :hippie:

Oh, I missed this one. Are they reshowing the first episode do you know?

 RUN Bobby, RUN!!!! :scared1:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

IYep - count me in the reality tv junkie club! I can't wait for Big Brother!! though how it could top last summers all stars I don't know.

Have you heard anything about the next BB? I was just saying last night that I haven't seen anything about it and that I hope they still have it. Makes summers go by so quickly watching that drama:lmao:

Hi all,

I've been absent from here for a while--lots of things going on. DH job change, transitioning out of my parttime job, and forgetting my password for the DIS (and didn't have time to take to go through the short process of getting a new one until now).

I wanted you to be the first to know that because of DH's job change, we will be cancelling this cruise. :sad1:

When it came down to it, 16 nights (including the pre-cruise night) was just way too much for my DH and my BIL.

The only thing that has made this decision bearable is that we have booked an RCI Voyager Western for April 2008. So, my mom gets her "historical" cruise (several ports with excursions to Mayan ruins), and I still get a cruise vacation! And I'm actually excited about trying a new ship, and I'm so excited to go to Roatan Island, Honduras. I've heard the snorkling is incredible, and right off the beach.

So, once I finish writing this, I'm calling DCL to cancel--SO, there will be a cat 4 open and two cat 8s open. So let anyone you know who wants to book that there is availability!

I so enjoyed meeting so many of you! Always feel free to PM me. I hope you will post live trip report threads and/or blogs! I will be keeping up with your journey practically every free minute! :thanks:

Karin: So sorry to hear that you won't be joining us on the cruise. Make sure to keep in touch! And, I am sure with all of the technology people from our list are bringing on board there will be some kind of live TR going on. Have a great time on your other cruise, sounds great!

It's hard to keep up with this thread.

I finally made all my ADRs for my late November trip. It's an odd trip because for half of it we will have the in-laws and the other half we will have my family. I let the MIL and SIL make the ADRs for that part of the trip because they like to complain about anything I do so it's easier to just suggest some things and let them handle it. But I did make all the ADRs for the part of the trip that is with my family. I also made a special ADR for Yahtsman's Steakhouse and booked the Segway Tour for just DH and I. He has wanted to try a segway for a while now.

Very happy to have that all complete. Now I can just count the days until I will be in WDW again.

Kim let me know what you think about Seway...we are booked for 12/3 and I'm looking forward to it very much. I'm also looking to REALLY see WDW - the only other trip was in 93 and I was only there 1 day. 12 hours of mad dashing... so I'm really going to absorb it this time. My sis and fellow Surf n Turfer's are going to be dragging me around to all the sites, sounds and restaurants as well.

We have most of our ADR's booked as well. You made me giggle when I read your post about In-laws making their own ressies', I love my eldest sister - but she's a challenge to dine or travel with (good luck ibouncetoo - in August with her in CO!!!). Although she likes you BETTER anyway - so you will have a delightful time. Actually- I had a great one-on-one with her in October 2005. First time we had done that, and maybe that's why she's more "difficult" in a group????:rolleyes1

We MIL's can be a strange bunch!!!

When are you going on your trip? Perhaps we will see you going round World showcase on your Segway's!!

Sorry you have to cancel. We went to Roatan in March and thought it was amazing. We spent the day at Tabyana Beach and the snorkeling WAS incredible right off the beach! It was about a twenty minute ride, but the fauna of the island is incredible. Hope you have a great time.

I don't think the MIL is the problem other than she tries to keep the FIL happy. LoL. He and SIL are the complainers. So poor MIL gets stuck making the plans in the hopes that FIL won't complain. I gave up on this years ago.

We are doing the Segway tour on November 24th. We will be in Disney from Nov 21st to Dec 2nd. Very excited to see all the christmas decorations.

I know something that no one else knows....it's Kaylee's (fourmcds) birthday today!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLEE!!! :yay: :cheer2: :flower3: :bday: party:

to my UK DIS'ers....

I have been longing for some fruit gums....NOT wine gums and our local British shops cannot get them in for some reason, maybe due to the reason the UK shop in Epcot many times has sanctions on them as well as Smarties???? IDK...

Do you know any reputible shop/web sites I can order from?

thanks!

OK John1 another tale from the "early days" back then I had a water bed like yours (no baffles nothing but a big bag of water) well when I bought the next generation mattress for it the old one got put out on the deck by the pool.
with out a frame, but full of water. let your imagination go with the rest of the story after all it was "the '60s" :hippie: :hippie: do you know how slippery that coconut oil can be:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Watch out Holly You could take this away:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :grouphug:

Grumpy John

:scared1:

The oldest I was in the 60's was 9!

BTW - don't know if my back hurt from lifting all the water tubes out and emptying them, or the new air bed. I will say that the air just does not feel the same and does not "contour" like water.

I'm still giving it a chance though . . .

Jackie, do you know there is an Atlantis shuttle launch planned for the 6th Dec - at 4.30pm? If it goes ahead you will have the best view from onboard!

Did I tell you guys that we saw the last shuttle launch from the Magic?

We missed the welcome aboard show, but what a show on deck 10!

The Captain parked the Magic offshore, and we watched the shuttle take off! They put the NASA live feed on the Dumbotron too!

It was sooooo cool!

So glad to have met you, and so sad you will not be joining us. Good luck with all that is going on - you always have friends here!

Karin - we will miss you :sad1: - but have a great time on your other cruise. Can't wait to hear all about it.

We love the Ruins we have been to - Chaccohoben, Tulum and Xcaret Eco Archaeological Park (in Cozumel) were all wonderful.

I'll keep an eye out for you at Target (I was there tonight!)

Not sure if they are re-showing Pirate Master but the episode is available on the CBS website.

I've seen just a generic commercial with Julie Chen saying it was starting in July but no specifics about cast or anything. I love that is is on a few times a week since summer tv is normally so bad!

I

I am thinking of Fresh at the Dolphin for a nice lunch, but need to think of 1 for our last evening. I would choose Cali Grill or Artist Point, but don't really want that expense. Any ideas? We already have ressies for Le Chefs de France, CP breakfast, Kona Cafe, LTT, Citricos and Raglan Road.
Anyone eaten at Olivias?

Fresh is wonderful! How about Cape May for your last evening?

ibouncetoo said "Oh man...I could have had a pretzel dog two weeks ago? Bummer.....
Think maybe I'll go on line and see if I'm missing an Auntie Anne's closer to home!

Auntie Anne's is a pretzel shop and they make hot dogs wrapped in pretzel dough...the dough kind of spirals around the hot dog. Sooooo yummmmy, especially when dipped in hot cheese"

There's one inside Paradise Valley Mall near the JCPenny's. I saw it the other day and thought of you and your sister.

Uh oh...too close for comfort.....maybe I'll have to go shopping on my way home and just 'happen' to stop there.....

....whew....did that in installments so my stupid work computer wouldn't drop me....
time to head out to dinner......there's a hot dog calling my name...........
