Great incentive indeed!I haven't yo yo'd, just been stuck. Even when I was working out 4 days a week for months, my size stayed the same. Crazy. My doc at the time recommended I work out 6 days a week. He told me some people just have to work harder at it than others. Uggghhh.....Sure doc....are you going to babysit while I do that?
At the time, Tyler wasn't in daycare....but now I can easily go work out before picking him up.

Maybe I'm a yo yo too.....don't know because I never had to lose any weight until recent years (except for losing after giving birth, which I didn't do anything to try to lose, but then gained all back plus 30 more). I just haven't been successful in losing any at all. Just kept steadilly gaining. Up and up. Still. It's nuts! If working out almost every day will get me to at least quit gaining regularly, I'll do my best to make it to the gym that often.I always lose weight before a big vacation because I'm afraid of the pictures!! This is the biggest yet so both my husband and I have our fingures crossed! He is over weight too. We love to BBQ and have dinner parties. That article someone sent makes sence though. I always seem to gain it back.

Here's a picture of John wearing his Grumpy jacket, he wears it with a tee shirt that reads, I'm grumpy because you're dopey.

well, Haley had an interesting day at school...she was on the playground saying nake nake more like nick in a way and the teachers kept telling her no, nick's not here today...she kept on and on and the teachers were bewildered finally she started pointing and yelling and there was a long black snake there!!! WHOOOO! they said she wasn't scared or anything....!
Wow what a brave girl!! Did they catch the snake?
Makes sense. But also makes me wonder what my problem is because nobody in my family is overweight. Just my luck I suppose. No biggy though.......life goes on.I think that the article makes a lot of sense. As to John's question, there is one paragraph that really especially resonated with me.
The results did not mean that people are completely helpless to control their weight, Dr. Tankard said. But, he said, it did mean that those who tend to be fat will have to constantly battle their genetic inheritance if they want to reach and maintain a significantly lower weight.
That sums up with the problems that I am experiencing with gaining weight since menopause. My mother and grandmother experienced the same problem, not having weight problems until menopause.
WOOHOO!!!!!!366 days

Probably so. Hey, at least that gives me an excuse!I suspect genetic code goes back many generations, not just one or two. Just my thoughts...
