I'm so excited for everybody just returning from trips and those about to go on vacation! WOOHOO! More pics please! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Have a wonderful time!
We're just starting to make plans (ADR ideas and tours) for our December WDW trip and I'm getting sooooo excited. Wish I was leaving tomorrow too!

I have just noted the November hours and can start planning ready to make ADR's at the end of the month. I have just ordered the MVMCP:santa: tickets for 29th November and will be eating at LTT just before with friends we met here on the Dis, and then in person in Feb '06, from Georgia! They are coming down for the week we are at POFQ so we hope to do some more things together.

Such a shame our paths don't cross when we are there. Our cruise is the 2nd December till the 6th when you replace us!!:) I'm so excited.:yay:

Still hoping to meet up with others when we return from the cruise, but no plans have been made as yet.

Admit it, you just don't want to leave us!

I have some actual work to do today at work, so I'm off. Have a great trip, if I don't get back on here before you leave!

Noel,

As I am sure you know, this is just WRONG! No possibility of working this out with the Dean? I'm sure that you have thought of everything, but if anyone could come up with an alternative to this mess, it would be you!!

Best of luck!!

Karen

Time here is the greatest problem. Not enough time for her to graduate and to get the course at another University approved. Of course, if we were willing to either pay for her to go to Europe over the summer or another course in the fall, no problem. This is all about money!!

I am so sorry about this University problem. I don't understand the system, so wasn't sure of the consequences Noel, but it sounds heartbreaking for Sam and yourselves. It is criminal that Universities can act in this way too!

No Never...I live for DIS...

We don't leave until tomorrow am...Happy Friday! Any plans for your weekend Holly?

I have to tell you, John's son John, who I call "the kid" asked his dad, "Is there any way I can get on this boat and do this trip too". It must be your influence Holly. We said, sorry, all booked and no we are not sharing our cabin with you. Of course, John told him something may open up in February when it comes time to pay for the cruise. I know he'd have a blast hanging out with you and Cindy. We shall see...:confused3

My mom is the same way. She never liked girl scouts, so I was never in them.

Noel- So sorry to hear about your daughter. I was praying it would turn out better.

I leave for WDW in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: I am mostly packed (DH says overpacked). I won't have a computer on vacation. We are getting away from our everyday life.

Thanks for the sympathy, so did we. Have an absolutely fabulous time at WDW!! Look forward to hearing all about the great times you guys had when you return!!

I have to say I have a story like this too . . . when I finished law school, I had not submitted my application for graduation on time. I had a lot on my mind, was working full time, and had a pregnant wife (Alex was born that June). They were not going to let me graduate, and walk, even though I had completed all the requirements for graduation. I was thunderstruck.

I appealed to the Dean of the Law School, and he was sympathetic to my plight, and appealed to the Board of Trustees of the University. Happily, my story ended on a better note, as my appeal was successful. Somewhere, we have a photo of me with my cap and gown with Amy 8 months pregnant beside me.

When Dennis graduated from pharmacy school, walked the walk, picked up the diploma, came to show it to me, opened it and there was ......a blank piece of paper!! :scared1: Seems there was some question about a payment in the second year. We had, of course, paid all the fees, tuition, etc. and were able to straighten it out in just a couple of days, but whoa! 12 years he spent getting there and then to get no diploma was a heart stopper. :sad2: On a positive note though, USC did also present me and the handfull of othe spouses with a PHT (Putting Hubby Through) or PWT (Putting Wife Through) "diploma". :lmao: Times were different then! ;)

Man, it took me over two hours to mow tonight - the grass has grown thick and lush and kept clogging up the mower. I just mowed on Sunday too! Our yard looks like one of those pictures of lush emerald green of Ireland or something. I think Spring is finally here.

I have mowed 3 times this spring and it is knee high again! :sad2: Lots of rain with bits of sunshine sprinkled in really gets it going. We are supposed to have sun both Sat and Sun :cool2: so hopefully I can mow it again on Sunday.

I'm off to take DGD to the dentist. She spent the night with us last night and wanted to sleep in the motorhome. So Dennis and I spent the night out there with her.:goodvibes It was her first chance to sleep in it. She went on many RV shopping trips with us over the past couple of years and always was mindful of a bed for her and one for Aaron (our youngest GS). :lmao: She is 11, our only GD and a sweetie. Parents are all working and since I am off on Fridays I offered to take her to this appt. I had not told Dennis that she would be here last night so he had a happy surprise when he came in the door and she met him with a hug! Hope they are nice to her at the dentist!

Hi Karen....it's good to be back!

We're leaving here Sat early and we're stopping to see Lisa in Bethany Beach, a mini-dismeet. We'll do coffee and hugs and keep each other company for a little while. Then we'll check into the hotel. We have a suite with a balcony overlooking the ocean. YEAH I really need it bad. We're staying until Tuesday. We'll shop for turtles, my favorite, to add to my collection. We're meeting our real estate agent and friend, Donna, for drinks on Monday. We'll eat at the Greene Turtle, my favorite. We'll bring wine and pop some corks on the balcony.

I can't wait. I need Calgon to take me away....:cool1:

Have a great trip! It's funny we live in San diego - beaches everywhere and we've never been. We both love the mountains! (The only beaches I like are at Castaway Cay :thumbsup2 ). We did go to a beach up in Santa Barbara for a friend's wedding but that's it for California beaches and we've been here 5 years!

Morning all!
Last night we had taco night (a bit early for Cinco!) and the girls went to bed...I watched Grey's ---- which was really a pilot for Addison's "new" show. Then I piddled around packed here and there and doing laundry.

Laundry is pretty much the plan for the weekend...how horrid does that sound?

I haven't watched last night yet but I just don't get the Addison spin-off idea. When I heard about it, I was surprised as I don't really like her character. I would rather see a Bailey spin-off as I love her. Maybe I'm in the minority.

I loved it too the short time I was in. I remember being in Brownies and just a few months of Girl Scouts. For some reason my mom was against the whole thing and we had a major family battle to just get me started in Brownies. The troop leader and my teacher even got involved in trying to convince my mom in how great it is for kids. The only thing that got my mom to agree is if my dad or another Brownie parent would pick me up from her house and transport me to and from meetings and events. Didn't last long though because she just fought it the whole way. :sad2:

How very peculiar....I was never a brownie, but I was a scout for many years. I had every badge in the book. I took it very seriously. My mom was an assistant leader and then became a leader. I remember taking trips and having a lot of fun....the innocent days of yesteryear!
:flower3:

My mom was an assistant leader for Juniors (as was my best friend's mom) so that probably made a big difference. In fact mom stayed as an assistant leader with juniors for a year or 2 after I moved up to Cadets.

Well I guess better go and get ready. Have some errands to run before meeting up with a friend for lunch at Original Roadhouse Grill. (Love the rolls...)

PM me if you might arrive early for a mini glass of wine!!

Karen

This would be so great, I just don't know what time we will be arriving. DH is already worried that we won't arrive in time. We have to pick up our tickets at will call before 9:00pm. We are driving down from Santa Barbara.

I leave for WDW in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: I am mostly packed (DH says overpacked). I won't have a computer on vacation. We are getting away from our everyday life.

  Have a wonderful, magical, DISney time.

Isn't it great when the GrandKids sleep over. It's so much fun hanging out with them. Hope she has an easy time at the dentist!;)

We would love to see pics, if you can.
