can we go home already?

I got a new book Vanishing Acts from the same author as My Sister's Keeper and can't wait to get started!

All three and they are fabulous!! I love to cook but with just DH and I often reduce the portions.

:surfweb:

I hope to try one or 2 soon, when DH is back from his business trip.

By the way, can I come hang out for a while and have dinners with you 2? :lmao:

You are closer than us out here on the west coast....only noon here, so the day isn't even half over :sad2:
I have to finish 2 books I am reading right now and then I hope to read My Sister's Keeper and the Time Traveller's Wife.

Good evening!
Marks watching football (soccer) on TV so I'm on Becky's laptop to keep him company :)
We've had a lovely day again. It was really warm and sunny again and we went out for a drive and wandered around some antique shops in Marlborough, then had afternoon tea in Polly's tea rooms.

Thought you might like to see where we've been! We wished we'd taken Mark's camera so we could show you some of the lovely places by the rivers and canals we saw!:goodvibes

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!:cool1:

As you know, I am traveling with my HOKIE son on our cruise. We got his graduation pictures. His HS graduation is 6-18-2007.
what a great photo!

party: :welcome: party:
Not sure what we are doing that day. We are going with another family and that is their last day there....but who knows, maybe we will run into eachother in a park or DTD! :)

will look out for you!

Noel and Kaylee,

I asked DH for his favorite recipe and he has two:

1) Grab the car keys and head to Lucas Wharf in Bodega Bay and have their amazing Calamari with garlic and butter!!

2) Place the fresh squid on a hook, toss in the ocean, and catch a Yellowtail Tuna!! (Hamachi!) Of course, you have to TRAVEL to do this!

Karen

Just caught up, didn't take too long!:cool1:

We had a lovely day. DH made cinnamon rolls and bacon AND emptied the dishwasher AND he and DD put out a very nice basket for MOI!! Quite a surprise as I usually am the only Bunny!!;)

We had a relaxing morning, then drove to my sister's house, which is down by our "real/everyday" house!

Had a fabulous and very filling meal, and watched some of the Planet Earth series on her HUGE DLP HDTV. I have to admit, it was really awesome. We had such a nice relaxing time there too!

Then we had to go to our wine shop as we had several orders come in, so I had to get them ready for shipping.

Then back to Bodega Bay where we are relaxing again!!!

Just a lovely day!! Beautiful drive, sunny around 55 to 60 degrees. Lot's of cows, sheep and mustard blooming...

I hope everyone's day was lovely!!

Karen

sounds like a great day Karen:woohoo:

I can't remember if I mentioned that my family in the UK is from the Portsmouth area. My mothers second cousin, Roy Otley was harbourmaster for Portmouth for many years. I have family in Hayling Island, Waterlooville and Forestside, Rowlands Castle, Hants also. My great-grandfather was the "tax collector" for that area for many years after he left the Royal Navy. Small world...

yes I remembered you saying that Noel :) I was telling Mark too:) I'm not very familiar with the area but Mark and some of his famile certainly are. Portsmouth University is also one of Becky's top choices for next year:
)

I was an avid coffee drinker myself until about a year and a half ago. Coffee started to upset my stomach also (as does chocolate). I now only drink tea. Love chocolate but have to be very careful to eat small portions.

I have the same problem Noel and sadly have to be very careful with coffee and chocolate :(

Let me know if that's a good one too!popcorn::

Still at work here - Blech!

Nice to know it is really always 5:00 somewhere . . .

I'm with V - can this day end NOW!

I'm up for a DIS meet on the 12th of May! Let me know who's up for it and if there is anything in particular you want to do....I can always set something up for us.

Good Morning, Snowing in Washington DC.....how crazy is that?

Tuesday is was 84 degrees, today it is snowing.....

My mom has been sick all week. She is 83 years old. She would not let me take her to the doctor. Now, this morning, she decides she is really sick. She would not listen to me all week. I will most likely be in the hospital most of the day with her.....the has the cough, cold, running nose thing.

She wants so much to take care of everything on her own, as she always has. We have been so lucky with her health. She has had her issues, but her mind is sound. She has broken her back 8 times now in 5 years....

She really needs my help, yet won't take it most of the time.....until (like today) she just can't stand it anymore.

I hope everything turns out well!

Just want to go back to bed, but have to do dishes and laundry. Have to go buy a couple more things for Tyler's Easter basket. Uggghhh.....I don't even have the energy to get out of my pajamas. Just do it and get it over with and maybe I can sleep a couple more hours before picking him up.

Have a great day everybody!

Have you considered that you might be sicker than you think? pneumonia?

If I can get them to take a nap I am going to go over the Navigators....yes I printed them off...and see what fun stuff lies ahead! Started packing for this May's WDW trip. The girls things are easy as most of the WDW stuff I don't let them wear to school since the come home with various markers, paints, stains on them.

You know it! And why oh why do they have them paint with oil based paint. Are these people insane?

I've never had Tonga Toast either...read lots about it though. It sounds very very sweet....not sure how much I could handle!

Looking for a good recipe for tonight's dinner....I have been cooking quite a bit lately and made a shrimp dinner the other night that DH and Samantha raved about. There were NO leftovers....and if I hadn't put the pan in the sink so quick I would be willign to bet John would have been scraping up the remanents.

Not John, King of the Crab Claws!

This sounds great! I love seafood and would be happy if I could eat it every day......YUM! :goodvibes

Very sleepy, but gave up trying to sleep. The gurgling/crackling sound when I exhale was keeping me awake. Very disturbing sound....never heard that before. So headed for a quick shower to see if that will help me wake up a bit, will try to sleep sitting up on the couch for a couple hours before having to go get the rest of the Easter basket stuff and pick up Tyler.

Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

umm. If I catch up to the post where you say you have been to the hospital for pneumonia I will not be suprised...

Seriously...that does sound like pneumonia to me. Had it once and that's a telltale sign......

Holly-please get to a doctor if you haven't already. Please!!!!

We have internet again!!! WAHOO :dance3:

I am going to try to catch up soon but don't know if I will be able to as I am planning our May Disney trip and have Finals coming up but I will be checking in ocasionally.

I hope everyone had a great Easter

I'm OK everybody. :thumbsup2 Yesterday I slept 2 hours before leaving for the family egg hunt, stayed 2 hours, then came home to rest. Got Tyler to bed early and I crashed too. But today I'm definitely on the mend. The cough is almost gone and it's all head congestion at this point. People at work told me I still look pale, but I'm not feverish anymore and I was able to function somewhat. Not as sleepy as I have been, but will head to bed when Tyler goes to bed at 7:30 so as not to push my luck. Thanks for looking out for me! :grouphug:

Glad you have internet again! :woohoo: I know how much of a pain that can be.

We don't have any great celebration planned. We are doing our 7 day cruise in Dec. We could quite happily consider that our celebration, but I am sure our family will have some sort of get together in Oct. We were young, I was 17 and Dennis was 22. He would be in prison by today's standards. :lmao: But he was and is my prince, my savior, my knight in shining armor. Sorry for the mush.

Oh Angie, you guys know you are our heros!!!
