The editing of the movie is terrible. The writers had to wittle it down to under 3 hours (2 hours and 47 minutes). You should stay until the END of the CREDITS. There is a scene at the end of the credits that ties up the holes that are missing in the movie. It was a compromise to the writers, Ted and Terry, to get the movie under the 3 hours.popcorn::

Also, the credits are incredibly LONG. You will have time to run to the restroom.

Thanks for that piece of information! Also, makes me anxious for the DVD with expanded footage too!

I want some Palo Panna Cotta...and I want it NOW!

Sophia too Karin. No way she could sit through even #1. She takes things too literally, and would think it is all real. She won't even go on the ride with me! I had to ride it by myself last time at WDW!

My description of it as Small World with Pirates did not even help!

That reminds me...did I mention that I experience WDW @*&# this last trip? I got stuck on IASW:scared1: Now, I enjoy that ride once a trip since DD's love it so much, but I don't love it by any means. I got stuck in the area right before the rain forest for 15 minutes.....the girls and I were alone on a boat (which was cool at first). Not an experience I wish to repeat....

As for Pirates, it took a long time to get Jaide to go on it, but now she loves it. She actually opted to ride it again with her dad instead of waiting to meet Captain Hook & Mr. Smee with her sister and I! I was surprised. We got her to ride it the first time by eating lunch in Blue Bayou at DL first and then taking them on it and the whole time we were on a hunt for animals! It worked:thumbsup2

Oh my goodness...not my idea of a good time either!

Just got dismissed from work! :woohoo: :woohoo: Got 15 minutes till my Dr appointment...so don't have to miss work/make up time for that! :thumbsup2

Wow! What is it about this ride? We just got stuck on IASW at Disneyland this past March! We were in there at least an extra half hour (and as it is, it's the longest ride ever), with all the boats lined up as far as you could see around the corner. At first, the music was off and all you heard was the click-clacking of the dolls. Then the music came back on--an adult's nightmare! Didn't find out what happened. Not one I wish to repeat either, but it was better than being stuck at the very top of the ferris wheel at CA Adventure for 20 min (while they cleaned up the throw-up in one of the moving cars).

OMG!!! We were just talking about that last weekend. Mr / Mrs Woody, ibounetoo, notsolitlemermaid and I were all on the Ferris wheel line (no swinging version - as I have a "height" issue - in more ways than ONE!!! ) anyway, one of the "cars" was empty with a sign and I said...ut oh - it's broken, not a good sign and Mrs. Woody said, "Nah - they just haven't cleaned it up from the vomit". Which was a better answer (in my weird outlooking head!).:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Well, another change of plans for us. Tyler didn't want to come home tonight. He wants to hang out with stepmom another night. So I'm going to hang out at home and watch tv, clean a bit, don some homework, and play on DIS! I can't wait to get caught up on the live Med thread! I think I only got as far as reading about the monkeys. :thumbsup2

Banfi (the vintner) Rose Regale (sparkling wine)...well loved by many of us! ::yes:: It's a sparkliing red that is PERFECT with chocolate. :thumbsup2

Hi guys...from Bethany Beach!! I went to the Liquor store here and asked for this and the owner told me....."never heard of that one" .... remember, they call this part of the country "slower, lower, Delaware!!"

I bought 2 bottles at home to bring with me and forgot them!!

Hi Deb! I'm glad to hear the problem wasn't with your mom. I was wondering, but didn't want to ask. Sorry I don't have any advice, but it sounds like you're all off to a good start. Welcome back!

Deb, I am so glad it was not your mom as well.....

Wish you were at the Beach with us!!

Take care and as far as the Teens go.......well........well......I may be arrested if I say what I am thinking. I am so strict with my kids and we are so lucky that I haven't had one that has revolted....I guess if I keep taking them on 1-2-3 DCL's a year....they have to love me:love:

I've always wondered where people work when they live in the "armpit of California"! What were you doing there??! And back in the 1980s I always wondered where people worked when they lived in Kettleman City (the truck stop off of I-5).

And Lori--best of luck to your daughter! What an accomplishment!

We both worked at Fort Irwin - another 45 minutes from Barstow - even further out in the middle of nowhere! Darrell is an archaeologist and my job was as an Air Quality Tech. Both of us were contractors (I still am - though now I'm a system admin - amazing the variety of jobs one can do with an English Degree). The only job options in Barstow are Fast Food, garages/gas stations, Wal-Mart and Grocery stores. A lot of people drive out to the Fort everyday for work. They have a hard time filling positions as anyone with degrees or technical training leave. Our friends there were all from other places to start with - Alabama, Illinois, Arizona, etc. Didn't know anyone who was born there.

Great news V on Samantha's graduation next year!! As the song says, my bags are packed and ready to go for our Samantha's graduation!!

I will be leaving in a few hours to fly to San Diego and am reflecting on how fast the time has gone. One minute they are tiny babies and in the blink of an eye, there are grown and ready to be on their own.

I guess I am in a nostalgic mood this morning as we head toward another chapter in our lives.

Sigh........

Have a great time this weekend. The sun is shining nicely now!

Thanks for your sentiments Noel, you know....if it's not problems with the parents, then it's problems with the kids or the grandkids. There's always someone who needs special attention and help from time to time...but that's what families and friends are for....not just the good times, but the bad too. Everyone is good for now, John and I will enjoy it while it lasts!
 :thumbsup2

That's why they call us the sandwich generation.....

Question, I need a new TA, can anyone recommend a good one? My TA had canceled the wrong ressi, when I went to check on my ressi May 10th cruise It was gone. I almost lost my ressi for this cruise, but because Of my quick action and speaking with DCL manager, I was able to salvage my ressi.

Got to run, our daughters school is having celebration of the Arts. tonight,:wizard:
Virginia

Love Love Love Don Pablo's!!

When I was pregnant with Gretchen (the youngest) it was the only food I did not throw up......I went there every day!! Still love it

I have been wondering about Julie myself. There are one or two others who haven't posted in a while also.
