I am FINALLY caught up.

More and more this group is starting to remind me of some of the great friends we made last December. We are also picking up the pace here, and if I had my mathematics Geek from our December cruise, she could verify my theory - I'm too lazy to do the math!

DD specifically requested that "the leprechauns don't" make her toothpaste, toilet water or pancakes green!!

Good Morning anyone still awake!! A lot of pages to get through today.

I think there is a general feeling NOW of supporting the people, whether you agree with the policy or not. Personally, if someone is volunteering to protect us, it's not his/her decision where he/she is sent. Ya know? And, well, DH was in the military for 15 years and we have an 18 yr old in the Marines. We know the personal sacrifices they and their families make. So, to say thank you, or to offer to buy a meal, really is nothing in comparison. (DH was on a plane recently where they bumped up four young men to first class. He says they looked so surprised and pleased! But, he was also called a baby killer once, too. It's not perfect here, either!)

How would you say service people are treated over there?

It makes me very proud to have you say that we treat our military well. I feel that we could always do better and do more!! I find myself to be quite a patriot, even if I don't always agree with the politics of the time, I am always very proud of my country. (OK, off the soapbox...)

I am also sorry that it is not the same in the UK. I am surprised as I have always found my UK friends to be warm and generous of spirit. Perhaps it will change and is a cyclical thing.

I think the general response of people is pride in our forces,a but it is just that we don't sem to have a national pride, or show our appreciation like you do over there. We were very moved 2 years ago when we visited Seaworld and they applauded the Military from any country.

Do it PJ! We would love, love, love to get a hug from you in Dec!

I lost my AP, lol. But I read a post by V, that it is super easy to replace, phewww! I was trying to see when it expires. But I think it is the 5th of December.

It would be cool to do a 1/2 day ticket. Now to find a pillow to put my head on and a cheap SW deal. If it all comes together, I will be there.

Great that so many people want to be there. I am so thrilled to be meeting you all.

Several people were talking about the MVMCP and if the dates had been announced. They have!!

We will be there up till about November 25th, so we will enjoy it again as well!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY everyone! No one in my little family has a drop of Irish blood in them but we'll celebrate anyone's holiday. Last night we went and bought some "green beer" to celebrate. Actually it's just Rolling Rock but it does come in green bottles!

My DH is a software engineer and I'm an independent sales rep. I just started my new job yesterday. I love this "working from home" thing!

I think my new career should be as a bracketologist. I only picked 4 losers in the first round (darn those Blue Devils). So now I'm cheering for your beloved Gators, Ducks and Buckeyes. (Not to mention the Bruins, Tarheels, Hoyas, and Cardinals.) And I'm sorry but I picked the Jayhawks over the Hokies.

Tell her that citrus can take the surface enamel off of your teeth. I have 6 veneer from sucking on lemons. It makes your teeh extremely sensitive over time as well as taking the enamel off the teeth. It even says lemon sucker on my dental chart!

I design and sell office furniture to very large office buildings. My DH, who will not be traveling with me, is a minister!!

I was the EVIL school nurse, but am now retired. I will soon be a full time Grandmother.

Rich is a retired USMC helicopter pilot. He is now a operations analyst. Don't ask me what that is, most of his work he can't discuss.

Speaking of Mascots...I heard on the news that another 64 team has "The Big Green" as their Mascot.....North Texas..the announcer was like What is that??? A FUNGUS !!! And I thought of this board......

Our local school, McDaniel College, has their team name as the Green Terror. It must be scary fungus. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of their mascot. It must be stealthy fungus as well.

My Hokies almost lost They are a great football team, but never been much in Basketball. Daniel, my DS17, hears April 1st if he gets to be a Hokie or not.......

That is so true living in the DC area. So many of my friends and neighbors I have no idea what they do for a living. The old saying is "If I tell you what I do, I have to shoot you!"

One of my collegues has the CIA in McLean VA as his client. He had to get Top Secret clearance. He is never allowed to call them the CIA...When we deliver, we have to use Top Secret clearance people....can you imagine how hard it is to find Top Secret Delivery Personal????

Winter is back here. Went out for dinner last night at the local Greek food place and it was fine when we went in - when we left it was snowing. Snowed most of the night and it's on the ground again. That groundhog lied last month!!!
