well looks like the plans are being made.

My mom turns 80 this year, my sister and I asked her what she wanted to do for her bday it morphed into where do you want to go and that turned into a girls trip to China.

Mom JoAnne, sister #3 Leeanna, me (sister #4)Nan, granddaughter #1 Kristen(daughter of sister #1) granddaughter #2 Molly (daughter of #4, mine)

So it looks like we will go for a 15 day tour leaving around June 20th and then tack on 2-4 more days in Hong Kong (you guess it, Disney Hong Kong)

Might have DH & Wilson come over for that part. We'll check on the $ as we get closer to the date.

You will enjoy HK DL. We did it May, 2006, and had a lot of fun. Just remember, it will be VERY HUMID!

I think everybody needs to order a case of wine! :grouphug:

YES!! This totally works for me! Our site went down for a couple of days and it's a slow time of year as well, so that hasn't helped matters either!!

Thanks for all of the good thoughts!

Karen

Well, for this non-drinker it will be a case of Diet Coke for me! :rotfl:

Does anyone have any clue as to who the Captain of our cruise is going to be??? I have a favorite....Captain Henry and his lovely wife Melissa. Captain Henry was the best on the 11 night Southern. You could always see him walking the ship and engaging conversations with everyone. It was like he was one of us and he personally wanted to make sure everyone was happy. And his wife Melissa was just as special. DH and her got to share a kyack ride and she was with us when we swam with turtles in Barbados. She was schricking with delight and excitement so hard, you could hear her under the water. She was happier about it than I was and I was at my peak! They were a great couple of good people that I would love to see again.

Captain Henry and his wife Melissa are our favorites too! We got to do the zip line with them and their friend Janet on the 11 night. We took pictures and video and then I gave them to Captain Henry and Melissa on the DVC member cruise the next month when I was on the Wonder again. He is awesome! And so friendly with everyone! I can't wait to sail with him again. I know he wants longer and newer itineraries, but I doubt he will be on the Magic since the Wonder is his ship. He is generally on 10 weeks and then off 10 if I remember right.

I need to check to see if he is on April 5 for our 3 night cruise. He was scheduled to be off the end of this month, but I'm hoping he somehow is still on for an additional week.

Our cat's named "Ella" too! Mekayla Loves Loves Loves Ella Enchanted!

WldWcnWmn and Karen ....I love the movie too and I love the name Ella. Now I have the cat named Ella and the puppy named Angel and lately I've been saying a lot of El, A, El, A..... :cutie:  :headache: :sad2: :rolleyes2 :faint: :bored: :earsboy:

I LOVE Janet too....I got all her info to keep in touch. I bought tee shirts and hats for the 11 night for DH and me and also for Janet and for Janet to send one off to Melissa and Captain Henry. Guess I should get them in the mail by now.....

We're doing the Halloween cruise on the Wonder in 07....I hope to see Captain Henry again.

I have exciting plans for the weekend too!:):cool1: It's Mothers Day on Sunday here in the UK (I'm sad that dd is away on her trip for that :() so tomorrow my sister and I have planned to a surprise for our Mum. ....

We're meeting her in London and taking her to Harrods for afternoon tea! I hope she likes it....DH and I did it last month and had a fab time, with champagne as well. The Georgian tea rooms are beautifl at harrods and the service was very freindly..not at all snooty!;)

Here's a link....

We also have friends coming down from Norfolk to take part in a Lacrosse final (DH plays) so we'll be off out again in the evening for dinner....phew!:rolleyes1

Happy Mother's Day! Sounds like you're going to have a great time. Speaking of afternoon tea.....does anyone want to do High Tea at Palo's? I have heard some good things about it, but I have never done it yet. Would love to do it with friends. Anyone interested?

I am off to the mall. I have to go to Sears to get a new belt for my vacuum. Of course it broke and I don't have anymore. See honey good reason to have a maid. I don't like going to the mall when I have no money. I guess that means I don't like going to the mall.:rotfl:

Hi Lisa, got the list. thanks. it'll be very easy to do, just takes time, which I have. Happy to have something fun to do....

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: You meant you'd be breaking it in by :happytv: right?!?!

Lisa, OF COURSE that's what she meant... What were YOU thinking!?! :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

YEAAHHHHH I'm so happy you want to come with us. I really should have known anything Palo for you! I'm not exactly sure how many reservations you can do at one time for dinner. And I don't think we can get the back table for four, unless others want to join us.

Noel, keeper of the Palo list...what do you say?

Karen, I always want to know more about wines. DH and I had our first date at a wine tasting in Southampton Long Island. And I married him. We both love wine. His tastes vary from sweet to dry. My taste is pure pucker. I grew up eating greek food and love lemon. As a child, I used to eat them like oranges. QUOTE]

I am a sour mouth also. Eating so many lemons as a kid (still love them) I have veneers on all six of my upper front teeth from loosing most of the surface enamel.

I think that's the best thing to do...but after seeing the post John made listing all our posts I realized how many of us there are and that would be a big task....helpers would be required!!! The other thing is, I don't want to put anyone on the spot by asking (I'm the one who worries about what I said and/or how it was taken).

I suppose this is something we should do closer to sailing to ensure better accuracy. In the meantime, those of you what want to be on the master list, keep PMing me.

As you can see, I don't have all the answers so again, any input or suggestions on how to handle those who don't post regularly would be appreciated!

PM the ones who are not active is the only way to know if they are still going and want to remain active especially for the gift exchange.

Deb,

I would be happy to volunteer as your assistant. I could PM everyone on John's postings list. It's no problem. Would that help you?

What a very nice offer!!

Just watched a new show with Jeff Goldblum, (I love Jeff Goldblum!!):rolleyes1

It's called Raines and it has a great storyline about a cop that "sees dead people". But very well written. I really liked. I had DVR'ed it (Tivo for Directv) and it was surprisingly good!:cool2:

Karen

Me too!!

Yes, that would really help. And I would really appreciate it. I would say, start with the bottom half because a lot of the folks in the upper portion already already PM'd me. Do you have excel? PM me with your email address and I can send you the spreadsheet I made up and you can add whatever info you get to that and forward it back to me....or whatever method you come up with works for me too, I just appreciate the help!

Thanks!!!!

No Problem....consider it done. I will start with the bottom coz they post the least amount so they're really the ones we need to reach. Yes I have excel and I will PM you with my email address. Send me the spreadsheet and I'll update it after I get responses and send it back to you. I think that'll work fine.

I'm so happy to be involved in doing something. So far, all I've done is join things already in progress and taken care of. Now I can contribute too.

Would you guys mind emailing me a copy of the updates on the excel list so I can keep my goodies master list updated?

We're really close now, but the system does seem to be slowing down!

Karen

Congrats on snagging 9K post and keeping it away from those EB pirates!! Now back to reading to catch up.
