Have a great trip. It is pouring here in the seattle area....so nothing but wet roads. Enjoy Montana...it is so beautiful there

Rain, Rain, go away! I'm afraid it will NEVER stop raining. In the 30+ years I've lived here I can't remember a harder/rainier winter. Oh what I would do for some sunny 70 degree weather.

:sunny:

Our week in WDW before the cruise is going to be so much fun. My parents have agreed to get my kids, Nick 24 and Tiffany 26, a room with us at the Beach Club. And now my dd's best friend since Junior High and her husband want to join us. I love it when the kids come. They keep us motivated to go from daybreak until far into the night.

Our "race" is very close to the Don Cesar...!

This is a small world afterall! I stayed at the Don in May. It was wonderful. The staff was amazing.

Here are a couple of pictures from that trip.

The Don Cesar had been on my list for a long time so I finally splurged and stayed there for a couple of nights after my last solo WDW trip. I thought the beach was lovely.

And surprisingly the airfare and the car rental was cheaper going into Orlando and out of Tampa than just flying in and out of Orlando.
*********************
The Breakers is also on my list so I'd love to hear more about that hotel too.

it's really a nice "intro" a mile run. 6 or so bike and a bit of a swim....if it gets me off my duff for the day??? --- all is good!!
My father is big into racing, he does Ironman races and tries his hardest to get us involved. DH ran track in college, so he enjoys the running aspect but I went to a performing arts high school for dance and have drilled into my brain how horrid running is for your achilles tendons!!!

lillygator, are you still there? What kind of dance did you study? Dance is my passion in life, although you would never know that I did it in a previous life if you look at me today. 25+ years ago I studied ballet and jazz in NYC. I did Lynn Simonson, Nat Horne and Alvin Ailey jazz and Zena Rommett ballet. I reached the level of intermediate. Then, I moved out of the city and went to the East End of Long Island and met DH, fell in love and found a new life of passion. Even though I could never do a tondue today physically, it's still in my heart and soul. I LOVE dance.

Lillygator,

In Palm Beach it has been so windy!! All week long, it has been 40-50 miles per hour winds. Have you not had this weather in the Keys?

We went Deep Sea Fishing today.....BIG MISTAKE!! The seas were 6-7 feet and although we were in a 50 foot fishing boat, it was terrible.

The boat filled with water. There was 6 guests....4 got seasick, including me and my DS17. Even the first mate got sick.

We came in early, but it was one of the worst events of my life. We did catch Dolphin...about 15 of them and they were 15-25-pounds. The Captain said the catch was so large because of the rough seas.

All afternoon I slept and then caught up on DIS BOARDS. I am very glad DIS was down a lot.....maybe I never would have caught up!!

More about The Breakers later.....what a Beautiful place. We leave at 4:00am tomorrow morning to catch our 6:30 flight!

Lisa, that's aweful, I'm so sorry for you. It's not a good feeling to be seasick. When even the first mate gets sick, you're really in trouble. At least you were rewarded with the fruits of your labor by making such a large catch.

The Breakers sound beautiful. Glad the rest of your trip was R&R and much pampering. Have a safe trip home.
:flower3:

Motivated, yes, mobily-abled, NOT! How do you keep up with them? Even when I want to, after so long, I can't. I'm just too pooped to pop after a while....and not a long while at that anymore. Bless you and your energy!:sad2:

OK, I'm DISfunctionally DISeased AGAIN...talking, talking, talking and no one is here! EEKKKK!:scared1:

Well, I spent my Saturday going over the tea lists and getting everything together in Excel and sending it off to Noel. DH spent the day making a pen for DP(et) Angel so she can spend more time outside, which is what she really wants. The kids and grands came over today to help, so she is all tuckered out right now....sleeping like a blob. I just know that she's going to wake up in about an hour or two and think that she can continue playing with me the way she plays with them. NOT! The grands lie on the floor with her and they let her bite them. I do not allow this. She gets spoiled when they're around.

Me talking to me again.....where is Karen.....

Just wait untill Monday when my wine order arrives....I'll be doing a lot of talking to me then.....:cutie:

Oh, don't give me too much credit. I have to go back to the room and take a nap around mid-day. But it is 100% more fun with them. They make me laugh a lot. It's so nice when they can become your friends.
Here's a pic of the joy's of my life. The blonde is Tiffany's best friend who will be joining us at WDW with her husband.

Everybody out LIVING while I'm just sitting here DISing....

Ok, now I've really got to stop....I'm beginning to scare myself!
 :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1:  :hippie: :scared:  :confused3 pirate:

Hey everybody! Busy day today....major workout at the gym, my mom came to town to visit for the day, cable guy came to upgrade me, took my mom shopping and for a belated birthday lunch, picked up Tyler from his dad's, he and my mom spent time visiting, laundry, Tyler to bed, now I finally get to sit and relax a bit with a beer and get caught up here. :thumbsup2

...eh been to the Shark Tank yet????? We had had a good team, San Jose Sharks in years past & a bit of present. An old boss had a suite...it was SWEET, private bathroom, couches, big screens all the best....that is the only way I've ever seen a game of hockey, I'm afraid I got spoiled.

I've not been to the Shark Tank yet, but will someday! Closest I've been over that way was Dallas for a New Years Eve Stars game in 1999 or 2000ish.

BTW, the troop sold 3405 boxes of cookies! That's over 10K for Council and $1.7K for them. The girls all agreed last night $1K is going into savings for a big retirement trip for them at the very end. I'm glad they have finally seen the light in this. Every year they talk about wanting to save, but never tell us that they want to DO IT. With their mascot planning a retirement life of travel and bliss they all seemed to get that they will be at the end of their road with scouts some day. I hope Molly will be able and willing to hold on to the end and enjoy the fruits of her labor for this trip....she sold 1373 boxes, that's a lot of cookie dough :woohoo:
Wow! Congrats to the girls! That's a lot of cookies....AND money!

Now, back to getting caught up.

They're beautiful Tina and they look like they're laughing and having fun. Full of Life! Good company to keep.

Ok, I'm glad you confessed that you need a nap midday. I feel better.

It's always more fun when everybody gets together and enjoys each other's company. I was in Virginia Beach a few weeks back. Sort of a mini family reunion. My brother was there with his two sons....we laughed uncontrollably every night at dinner with the pranks they talked about pulling and the jokes and the pun towards each other. It was great.

It's nice to know you have good kids and can enjoy being with them. I'm glad they're coming with you on the cruise too. You must be so excited!
:cloud9: :yay: :cool1: :cheer2: :grouphug:

Just watched Gary Sinese on CSI New York. Would like to see him narrate the Candlelight Processional.

I agree with that 100% ::yes:: No wait.....I want Alan Rickman or Patrick Stewart.....love those voices!

Unfortunately, they're not coming on the cruise with us. Just WDW. I'll need a rest from them after a week anyway.

Love hockey - grew up ourside Phila so Flyers are still my team (even though they really bad this year). We've only made it to 4 stadiums so far - 5 if you count the old and new Flyers stadiums. The others are Edmonton, Calgary, and St Louis (their old one).
Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Nashville, Columbus. :thumbsup2

Several of my WDW trips from Phoenix were done this way as it was cheaper...especially when there were two of us sharing the car rental expense. Some we flew in and out of Tampa (and hit Clearwater Beach for a day), others we did half and half. Plus it was nice having the car for OUTLET MALL SHOPPING! ::yes::

So true! Enough said! After one week with them at World, you will DEFINITELY need the rest. It's ok if you don't come out of your cabin for the first three days, we'll all understand!

That would be it for me...one hour, in the dark, on MS. We opted not to take that ride but what most people don't know is since HP had a lot to do with the making of MS, they have a special lounge for HP employees...there's a secret entrance near the entrance to MS, you have to show your employee ID. Once upstairs it's a cool, comfy area with lots of couches and internet access. The have tinted windows where you can look down at the people in line for MS and they offer refreshements and snack items (which was awesome given we were there in hot, humid JUNE!!!). They have two phone booth looking areas where you go in and can record a video that makes it look like you're on the moon or in space (depending on what background you pick) and you can email the video to friends back home. They also have TV monitors where you can watch people taking off and arriving back from the ride. It's funny to see what people look like upon their return...some look excited and others look plain sick!!! Anyway, that's a little known secret that many people are unaware of....
WOW! That's super cool!

THANK YOU, oh so great and powerful knower of all things....it really helped. Exactly what I needed.:worship: pixiedust:

Welcome!!

No, it's Yorkshire. As spoken in God's country. Made perfect sense to me. :thumbsup2

I have to tell you this. Last week my DSis was in hospital where, when the staff were completing the admitting paperwork she was asked her nationality. Without a pause, she said "Yorkshire". :lmao:

And she has lived on the South coast for over 30 years!

I have been asked that many times and always answer "Californian"!!

I agree with that 100% ::yes:: No wait.....I want Alan Rickman or Patrick Stewart.....love those voices!

Now the sound of either of those voices will get my vote!! I would listen to them reading the phone book!!
