Aw Daddy. A dug. A dug.

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

Well, you know, now he's going to have to recite it for us too!

I love the line "you could wheedle the twist out of a flaming corkscrew". I think I'll be using that one in the future.

Just went to the DU site and guess what....it says:

Balance due: 0

:cool1: :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:  :cheer2: :dance3: :cool1:

and.....just seven more days and we can all do the double digit dance.

got a few pages to catch up on then must hit the shower. Happy Hour tonight for Peg's birthday, so try to hold the page count down to less than 50 in the next 24 hours.....OK? :rotfl:

has anyone one used an over door hamper thing? I am just wondering where all these dirty clothes are gonna go!

It's just DH and I. Last time we used a plastic bag from the cruise store and stored it in the bottom shelf in the steamer trunk. I'll be sending laundry out to be done, but plan on doing our undies and socks myself. :laundy:

Hey everybody! :goodvibes Internet not working at home for some reason, no time to call and ask why. No time to catch up today while at work, too much work today. Probably can't catch up tonight because I have another jewelry party. If my internet is working at home again, will catch up after the party tonight. Otherwise, will have to wait until after work tomorrow. Have a great day everybody! Will try to peek in and read a couple posts on and off today, but no promises.

We are flying UC too, but I daren't tell John we can have 3 suitcases each!!!:scared1:

Is it the 6th you are flying? What seats are you in?
We're in 6A&K on the 7th.
Maybe you can leave me a note in the seat pocket, and we'll see just how well they really clean between flights!

We always used to manage with 2!:confused3

With us it's according to where we're going and what class we're flying in. Generally for Florida we manage with 2 going out, but for Colorado in the winter we may take 3 because of heavier coats etc. We used to cram 2 bags full rather than carry 3, but since the coach/economy allowance decreased (from 32kg per bag to 23kg) we are more careful - it's pointless being charged for an overweight bag if you can just take another one free.

Coming home, however, we usually have 3 or 4 bags - depending on how much shopping we've done.

I don't think I could cope with flying charter, certainly not for this cruise. The baggage allowance is generally only 20kg per person. :scared1:

I don't think being paid in full matters for this. Several months ago I got this for the dummy date we had set up for our next cruise. Not paid in full. It was a good reminder for me to move that date out again before final payment was due.

Good to know, thanks for the info. I'll be on the look out for out mail carrier. :sail:

PJ:

Thanks for posting on the website.

I'll contact the people that have also expressed interest in helping/doing this in the next few days and we can divide the work load and let everyone know what options we need to vote/decide on.

Don't forget to tell how many lanyards you want in your pm.

Nan

I am heading out of town for a few days to West Virginia and will have no internet (or cell service!) so please know I will help but it will be a few days before I reply.

And I vote for the LIME GREEN lanyards - it was so easy to know who was a DIS person verses another group like a family that may just have some.

HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS?

http://www.disboards.com/announcement.php?f=9&a=227

The DIS is doing a virtual DCL "House Party" on Saturday and there is a prize of a CRUISE. I expect each and every one of you, who's not at or having a house party to show up in the chat room so a "Thief" can win that puppy!

....ok REALLY have to get ready for work now......

We have been in the teens the last two nights also. I have wished the past 2 mornings that I had those nice seat heaters! Woo THAT'S COLD!!

I would love heated seats. :lovestruc

I'm just happy to have heat in general. I drive a VW bus.

Our older buses were air cooled and when it was really cold didn't generate enough heat to even defrost the windows. We had an ice scraper for the inside.

The newer version has the engine in the front, has 6 cylinders (which means actual speed going uphills :woohoo: ) and heat glorious heat even on the coldest nights. :cool1: :cool1:

Well I guess you could call DCL and see who they have attached to your ressie! We linked with another family so that's how we know.

Unfortunately Noel is MIA, not sure what's going on. I emailed her a few days ago and haven't heard back, so I'm worried...it's not like what we've seen of her to disappear without mention!

Can I call or do I have to have our travel agent call?

I think we are in 8 and 9, not sure which side of the plane. 6A and K weren't available. I think coming back we are in the opposite seats!!! Going to be great! I might just leave you a note!!!:lmao:

Yes, when we go to Florida in December we take a few more heavier clothes just in case. Well items to layer, and gloves and a hat(!) It was cold on the water when we did an Illuminations cruise. Never used them though. For this holiday I am thinking we won't need the heavier items or too many fleeces/jumpers, plus I can cut down on a pair of trainers. Definately won't need the gloves!!!:rotfl2:

Krisann

Lime green would be good!

DH told me one is opening soon in our neighborhood, then he tried to pretend that no one would go there, HAHAHAHAHAH he'll be there for sure. What the heck I guess it's okay to let him look right?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:thumbsup2 We just had a Wing House open here as well...across from a Hooters ---- they are basically the same concept - different colored uniforms.

My Explorer has heated seats....I use them alot!

Happy Girls Night Out Wednesday!!

Karen - love the pics, DD looks so pretty!

Still no pedegg yet. It's rainy and very overcast here today...good day to be working - or snuggled in bed with a good book.

Does the names on the reservations actually matter as long as the right number turn up and the right stateroom is there to charge to?

You are right. :thumbsup2 Names won't matter. Each person would give their KTTW card to the server to pay.

Well, cocktails in your cabin while a few of us do our wash sounds like a good plan ::yes:: a few room service cheese trays, some cookies, a :mickeybar or two could turn that chore into a PARTY. :dance3:

LOVE this idea!! :lmao:

Good Morning!
Busing is mandated for all children living two miles or more from school, and not required if within two miles. We did it anyway when we had the money for safety reasons. There is no "pay to ride" that I know of in the US.

We had pay to ride when I was in Jr high('67). We were just over the mile and a half mark line.

In our county everyone gets bused, even if you live next door to the school. Alot of our developments have no sidewalks and parents pitched a fit.

Some other news . . . DU is also sponsoring a "Podcast Cruise" on May 10, 2009 - Wonder 4 night. The first person who made a reservation got their cruise for free! They will be giving away other cruises at some point too, and there is also currently a photo contest. There is also a restaurant review contest where the winner gets 3 nights at the Swan/Dolphin and dinner with Kevin Close who reviews restaurants for the Dis Unplugged Podcast. Listen to the Podcast if you can!

What, when it like falls below 60?:scared1:

I had time and looked up Ohio Law today. School districts are prohibited from charging for bus transportation, even if it is not provided to the student under state guidelines. Probably varies greatly state to state.

Well I've been to the gym this morning and we did a 30 min+ abs class. I'm going to ache tomorrow!

I think I have turned the corner with the gym and should be going more regularly from next week. Have a facial instead tomorrow!!!:lmao: I know which I would really prefer.

Dropped a little weight - perhaps pre last vacation, but a way to go yet. I don't weigh myself. It's the big birthday in March, so I am hoping to have made some headway by then.
