Lisa,

Thanks for the endorsement!!:thumbsup2

Sweet dreams!

Karen

You can get Etoile from Domaine Chandon??? Cool!!!

As far as the book exchange goes, the only thing we mentioned was for people to bring books and leave them at the cove when finished reading so that others could pick them up. If you would like to set up something more systematic, I'm sure no one would object and it might even be more beneficial to all those who want to read.

Deb,

Amy answered your PM, but I did not . . . is one of us enough, or am I fired???

No...you just get delegated to the lifeboats which since everyone I know including me is in one...You might have a pretty good time!!!

It becomes really difficult . . .

Some folks were upset and felt left out - they came on at the last minute.

I would say that we should probably "define" the group at the 90 day final payment date for anything that requires planning to participate. People who come on after that can participate in as much as is possible, but some things will be impossible - especially if things are ordered for the group.

Maybe this group can do it better, by listing the things we have already planned and detailed that are "closed out" after the 90 day final payment date, but other things that anyone can participate in after that time.

Not a perfect answer, but personally, I would like to include as many people as possible, and would only exclude new people from things that are impossible to change. Hopefully it would not get too unwieldy.

How about we do a separate message on the board (cruise section) a shout out to everyone letting them know we're doing final count and if they want to be included...if you don't hear from them, then they can't complain...

OK, this is so WEIRD!!

I post a picture. I have discovered a piece of the url that I have to cut out but still we see only an address.

then I hit EDIT and SAVE and the picture shows with no changes made to the site......

The DIS does not like me. And I feel like Bobby and I are the only ones here.

Hey Jan!

Looks like you got it!

Sorry about the Colts, but maybe the football gods did not like them putting in the 4th string on the Titans and wiping the Browns out of the playoffs!

DIS'er teams did not fare well this weekend - Colts and Seahawks.

Need to vent:

We went to my great grandmothers funeral tonight. It was sad but, I found out more about my grandmother. She had left before I got there b/c she didn't feel well. My cousin and I talked and my grandmother had an infection and needs her legs amputated and to stay in the hospital. She won't let them b/c she says she needs to take care of her sons. My dad lives with her but doesn't take care of her. My cousin has to bathe her and she doesn't eat. People have been taking things from her house and selling it. So my cousin took some things my grandmother wanted me to have for her house so they didn't get stolen and sold. I LOVE my cousins but my dad and uncles are horrible and it makes me so sad! I don't see them very often b/c my dad wants nothing to do with me. We are going to see her next Sat. again. She barely remembers our last visit. My parents divorced when I was 5 and my mom always got along with my dad for me but now I see the truth.

I am so sorry.....how terrible. I have no idea what I would do in your shoes. :confused3

there's a little secret to know about theaters, the sound, staging, lighting, blocking is usually set up for the first row mezz. The first 10-20 rows are the worst in the house, but the most expensive. I toured about 200 theatres in the US and Canada with a broadway show and every one always felt guilty about the cost of the first few rows. After 10 years working in theater, we only buy the mezz... but we're really cheap too!:lmao: You probably have better seats than you think! We saw Wicked in Sept here in LA. At the end of the show I went straight to the box office and bought for another show.

Very interesting. I always love the First MEZZ I always try to sit there. Not very fond of Rear MEZZ.

In this instance all you need to do is remove the code at the beginning and the end of the link. It should read:

http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z91/JLSE50/?action=view&current=PC140038.jpg
(without the spaces of course)

Otherwise it was perfect.

Trying over again and still no success

Jan

In this case all you forgot was the and coding before and after the url (again no spaces in the code).

You are so close to getting it!!!

Bobby went to work with Jan. She is a homecare pediatric physical therapist. They did a home visit. While she worked with the human client, Bobby worked with Larry the Cabbage Patch whose "Dad" says has the same disability he has.

After the visit they went to the OFFICE and Bobby posed with the handpainted sign on the wall.

And posed with the GIANT POSTER that was in the conference room.

Since we are sharing photos . . .

The first one is the one we used for our Christmas card - since he is not coming, and many of you that we know have not met him, our son Alex the Med student is the one with the beard. (mom and I are not too fond of the beard, but what is a parent to do?)

This second photo is just Alex and Sophia

Almost looks like they like each other!

As far apart in age as they are, they are a typical brother and sister.

I am not a football fanatic. As a kid I did not pay any attention because my Dad and brother WERE fanatics. But I know enough to watch intelligently.

I did not pay any attention to football until we moved to Indy 3 years ago.

The team members are such GENTLEMEN.
The advertisements they do are either funny or sweet.
They donate time and money all over the city to help kids or other worthy causes.
They do not get into trouble with the law.
When a player is down--either team--you see Colts on their knees or with heads bowed.
They greet their opponents after a game and congratulate the winners when they lose.

They are classy gentlemen, so now I pay attention and watch each game wearing my Peyton Manning jersey.

We continued to watch and were pleased that Eli brought the Giants to a win, so the day was a good one.

John the beard makes him look so much older, compared to the photos from when he visited England this summer, very doctor like.

katy, Juno was my other choice, I will probably go see it next week. I love the early morning movies on the weekend, just $6 and no need for popcorn before noon. Although I do give in and get a small one anyways.

PJ

We really liked Juno.

Love the AMC $6 shows - we saw Atonement this morning at one (though we got a large popcorn combo - sort of an early lunch)

PS: When we were out to eat at Buca de Beppo one time there two brothers at the next table wearing Phillies jerseys. We got talking to them and they said that they had been walking around the city all day in their jerseys and got nothing but pleasant or kind comments from Colts fans. They said that if two guys were wearing Colts jerseys in Philly they would be booed and hassled. They were impressed with how the Colts fans treated them.

That did it. I went out and bought my jersey!!
