Oh, I'm sure I mentioned this before, but it's still worth another good laugh: On my last cruise (the only one I took without Tyler) in January '07, I did just that. Later that evening, after dinner I returned to our room to find ALL my underwear from the garbage can in a pile on my bed!![]()

Apparently the room steward thought I made a mistake or something!
Well guys, we've decided to make the final deposit on the trip and commit to going!!!! We bought our one way tickets yesterday and are ready to jump onboard.
I noticed several posts about smoking, we are the drug guys. Miles To Go is our company for drug prevention education in California. I'd be happy to help with any support I can, I'm known as the smoking nazi and have helped stop many from starting and many to stop.
A little about us: There are 3 of us, Jonathan (DH), Kelly (Me), and Zoe (DD4, will be 5.) We are drug prevention lecturers and speakers - sounds boring, but we've blended science with humor to teach in a really fun way. We live a few miles from DL and went on the B2B 25 day Med cruise last year
We are looking forward to this cruise because it is so much less rushed than the last one. We were exhausted when we finished that one. I'm trying to finish my Ph.D (I specialize in developmental and cognitive behavior and several other interests that I'd be happy to talk to anyone about later), so I plan to get some good reading done on this cruise. I can't wait to find out which movies will be onboard as well. My DH plans to do nothing but read.
We're really excited and feel a little more set now. Have a good day everyone.
We need some prayers:
My greatgrandmother died today at the age of 93. My grandmother (the one who was sick) is doing ok but they think it will get alot worse when she is at the funeral. We knew it was coming but it will still be hard on her.
What a cute image of Jenna & Kayla's excitement! We hope Jenna enjoyed her birthday last night - she seemed to. Her grandparents were here to help celebrate. They left this morning for The Woodlands to visit my sister. My father seems to get a little worse every time I seem him. Parkinsons is really taking its toll, or at least all the medication is.
Anyway, Jenna didn't believe the Hannah Montana concert tickets were real at first. It took a little convincing to assure her that she had actual tickets to see Miley Cyrus in person (along with Ally and AJ). She started to cry when it really hit her. Then her little sister said "Jenna you get to see Hannah Montana, why are you crying"? Jenna replied, "You are going to be crying too - there's four tickets here and one of them is for you"! Then Kayla started crying and they gave each other a big hug . . . . . . . then they started running around the house screaming as loud as they could. It was quite the sight and made the cost of the tickets well worth it!
Now the hard part - 25 little friends invading the house for the big Hannah Montana birthday party on Saturday. I think we are in trouble!
CONGRATS on getting your time off approved!Well all of our time off was approved by my employer and my mom's![]()
We are trying to figure out where to fly home from can't decide between LAX and Ontario. We will fly out on Tuesday the 27th to CT as the costs for Sunday/Monday are higher.
I'm super excited
Hope all are having a good week! Hope to catch up more on Sunday or Monday my weekend !
yes, the first day is crazy...especially boarding, and waiting, and everyone running around crazy. I remember after lunch I just wanted some quiet!! this time I am going to not worry about it and relax!
Thanks Steph.Holly-glad you got a diagnosis. You should notice a big change once they put him on meds. Most of the adhd kids at the school I work for get better. You definately notice when they are not on their meds.

I won't go into all the details, but I am just worn out. Frank has been moved to another hospital. I just hope he will someday get better.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! That is, if we'd all fit. Good thing we all love each other and can squeeze close!![]()

anyone got exciting plans for the weekend? Nothing here...the usual - cleaning. Seems our 80 degree weather will be getting a bit cooler. The girls - and John all went in the pool last night, while I sat poolside finishing the Pact. Not sure if we'll be able to do that tonight!
That is funny!! But me personally, I gotta have new skivvies on vacation -makes it more, vacationy I guess.

Half the time I don't make it to Goofy's pool for the sail away party.....and I really want to be there.......just not happening most times. I have been there twice I think and have cruised 5 times now. Day one is nutso!
Thanks Steph. My best friend's son has been on ADHD meds for about 5 years (he's 11). He takes Concerta. And it's very obvious the days he hasn't taken his pill!

Thanks! Will give him lots of hugs for sure. I plan on talking to him this weekend and letting him know that we now know, and will let his teachers know, that he's not misbehaving because he's bad, and will assure him that help is on the way.I am glad you got a diagnosis. One of my sisters has OCD. She is on medication and doing much better and I hope he does too. SHe and I also have ADD and Myclonicdystonia ( a nerological disorder.) I know alot of people think medications are bad for kids but they arn't . IF needed they really help. Everyone can tell when I take my meds and when I don't. Give him lots of hugs for us.![]()
