Hi everybody, I have not bee on this site for a while. Frank took very ill again and we had to rush him back to the hospital. I was with him at 1pm in the afternoon when he started bleeding from his nose and mouth. We got him to the emergency room at the Rehab center and then we were going to transfer him back to the same hospital by ambulence. Well, there was no room at the hospital and they told us we had a 36 - 48 hour wait

Well we opted for a different hospital and by the time we got him there it was 1am .....12 hours after he took sick.

No one can tell us where all that blood came from....he needed to get 4 pints transfused into him.

Anyway, needless to say, it has been way too busy here. I just figured out I am 65 pages behind

Hopefully he is back on the road to recovery!!

If anyone is interested, DCL told me that the rainforest pass will be $120 for our cruise.

Oh good - we've always wanted to try this. Does anyone know - can you go one day then upgrade to the pass?

Ok I have a question - when we get to LA it will be Memorial Day weekend - is anyone concerned about the parks being really crowded at DisneyLand? This has me worried as I am used to going to DW at low peak times so would not know how to handle BIG crowds Any advice?

DCA - get to DL first thing in the am then when crowds get too bad head over to DCA, which normally never feels as crowded.

That's why I'm adding extra days for time to relax (not like 15 days on a ship isn't enough...)

I don't know the answer to this, but I swear she was on my Med cruise with us. EVERYONE....(except me) got 4 or 5 tags....it was so funny!!

I heard she was hanging around the Eastbound for a while....I guess we are not fun enough for her yet!!

I have been to Beech and Sugar Mtn and then in the mtns in CA when there wasn't much snow...most everything I have been on was manmade....I can't imagine!!

I am proud of myself. I made $126 on one mystery shopping assignment...it was basically making phone calls to a call center! Yeah!! That will cover a passport!!

What is this all about!!?? I want to be a mystery shopper too!!! (in my spare time!)

I am not sure who i had pm'd for the brunches and Teas i think it was Noel but if being booked into the group reservations will force me to cancel or not book on my own then I am going to need to back out. While I would love to have fun at the group brunches and teas I was looking forward to booking for my birthday with just my mom to celebrate for brunch. So if you have my group on a brunch or tea list feel free to remove me so that others can join in.

We can still have fun at other meets i don't want anyone to feel offended but Our meal times tend to be when my Mom and I catch up on our day and look forward to doing that.

Ditto this for us. Deb, I'm not sure if I'm on any of the tea lists, but if you do have me please remove me. I'm going to PM Noel and have her remove us from brunch as well. I was unaware that we could only have one.

So, here is a booking ?....

I assume only 1 person at a time can book things for your cruise, right? Like Scott and I couldn't both be on getting different reservations, right? So...what do you try and book first? Do you go for Palo, then spa, then excursions? Is there a method to reserving that anyone has used before with great success? Last cruise we didn't do Palos or excursions and our spa we booked on board. Any tips?

I got up a 3am to book Med excursions (and then ended up cancelling them all).....this is what I found.

1. The most popular excursions were already sold out as those in CAT 3,2,1 can book at 115 days out....all of the rest of the excursions were available and were available for weeks after that 90 day mark.

2. Palo is what I should have done first...brunch first then dinner.

3. Never booked the spa online and I have always gotten what I want after boarding the ship.

quit touching me, I'm not touching you, stop it, MOMMMMMMMMMMM....Oh the wonder years. When will they end. Just kidding. I know this time is so sweet and gone so fast. I'm just sucking the marrow from them now while they are here. Hence the reason for this cruise.

Bad news, Paul just lost a big client. They hired an in house GC. It's not really a suprise, but a pisser none the less. Small company Paul has worked for them for 3 years, negogiated all contracts (150+) to signature close and since the last quarter when they brought in a new CEO he has been walking on eggshells over this. It just sucks sometimes to work with companies when they are small and they need your flexiblity (that means our payments not always timely in the lean cash times for them) and now that they are bigger they boot you out. Paul is having lunch with the old CEO (now chairman) tomorrow, but the deal is done, so not much to say but sorry your screwed.

Vent over. Time to figure out where to get some more billing for my DH....Fortunately he just got 2 new clients yesterday but they are small one shot deals, not monthly contract review like the other one. Oh well...

This makes me sick to my stomach for you. I am so sorry.

I guess in the end, no matter what we do, we are all salesman all the time.

Holly - have you started checking on flights yet? Where do you fly out of?

We fly out of Lansing, MI (LAN). I check occasionally, but really no reason to do so until I have cash in hand (or I guess I should say available credit on credit card) because the price goes up and down so much it seems. Our airport is very tiny, so there's not much variation in flight schedules....it's pretty much the same now as it is every time we've flown to MCO. Allegiant flies straight to MCO, but last time I looked they only had Tuesday or Thursday flights. All other airlines transfer in Detroit (DTW). So sometimes we just drive to DTW and not worry about transfering. That will depend on what Spirit has at the time I'm ready to book because if Spirit has a great deal to make it worth the gas money driving to Detroit (a little over an hour away) and parking for 15 days, then we'll do it. Otherwise, we'll just fly out of Lansing and take a taxi to the airport or find a friend willing to get up early enough to drive us.

Wow....such a long-winded answer...I must be getting sleepy! Sorry!

Ok, my dgs has a shool project that I could use help from some of you. They are studying maps and have a gingerbread man that has run away. His teacher would like people from all over to send in postcards saying that they saw him near their house. They will then locate and post where he was seen. If anybody is willing to send a postcard please let me know and I will pm you the address. They need the name of the city and state or country.

I will be happy to send DC card.....maybe The White House....(do you think Secret Service would shoot on site if they saw a Gingerbread man?)
