I think if we stay sober and stay with a buddy we will be fine. Simple safety rules that apply anywhere. So sad that we can't make our children remember these rules when they become young adults. I cannot even imagine how the parents are coping.

Ok - we are paid in full now!!

Always so much more real after final payment.

We were paid in full yesterday and I keep checking my account online to see when the payment gets posted to the account and the money comes out. THEN I will feel better because then I can book excursions, etc. Also, I keep checking DCL reservation and it still says booked. I know that after they receive final payment it says something else, can't remember, but I'm waiting to see the change. Then I will get oh so vey excited!!!

Can I ask for your opinion - when you have an executive level position that needs to be laid off, is there an ideal amount of team that you can give? i.e. I had to lay off our HR generalist (we will be outsourcing, but haven't selected the company/consultant yet). It seemed to me this was a position that should have a transition and I gave her notice of the layoff, incentive to stay for transition, etc. One of the HR companies I am interviewing gave me a lecture about how you can never keep someone on after you give them notice of the lay-off. Any thoughts? Thanks! Lisa

I am not John but where I work we give a 60 day layoff notice for all positions. In fact, Monday was the last day of work for several people in our office who received their notice 60 days ago.

No sharing, I asked since my DH will be leaving in ACA.

I will probably get a lengh of cruise for myself but only do the daily ($15 a day) for DH as he doesn't go as often as I.

TF on her way maybe with a glitter dollar?! (one of my friend does that)

Our tooth fairy brings Gold Dollars - has been fun all these years.

We have not booked yet as we are waiting for DH to finalize how much time he can have off for the return flight and how early he will get in to know for sure if he will fly from Iraq to Orlando as we think right now or fly home a few days first and then all of us fly out together. We hope to finialize this in the next week or so.

We fly out of Lansing, MI (LAN). I check occasionally, but really no reason to do so until I have cash in hand (or I guess I should say available credit on credit card) because the price goes up and down so much it seems. Our airport is very tiny, so there's not much variation in flight schedules....it's pretty much the same now as it is every time we've flown to MCO. Allegiant flies straight to MCO, but last time I looked they only had Tuesday or Thursday flights. All other airlines transfer in Detroit (DTW). So sometimes we just drive to DTW and not worry about transfering. That will depend on what Spirit has at the time I'm ready to book because if Spirit has a great deal to make it worth the gas money driving to Detroit (a little over an hour away) and parking for 15 days, then we'll do it. Otherwise, we'll just fly out of Lansing and take a taxi to the airport or find a friend willing to get up early enough to drive us.

Wow....such a long-winded answer...I must be getting sleepy! Sorry!

Would you consider using the Flint airport? Air Tran has direct flights to MCO and the flight from LAX only has a layover in ATL.

yep, saw it when it first came out it's really really good. the only part to watch out for is AFTER he does people in and tey go through the trap door. yech.

Okay, I know I'm a wimp...loved the first hour of this movie...loved Johnny Depp, this really is a good movie BUT I won't ever be seeing it again!I'm just too squeemish I closed my eyes for lots of it, I have good friends who tell me when it's safe to open them again, but the sound effects are disgusting too Okay, I think I used enough smilies to get my point across There are actually a lot of humourous parts, albeit dark humour.And my back is hurting from all that scrunching down in my seat

Ok I have a question - when we get to LA it will be Memorial Day weekend - is anyone concerned about the parks being really crowded at DisneyLand? This has me worried as I am used to going to DW at low peak times so would not know how to handle BIG crowds Any advice?
