Wow...I don't check on the thread for a few days and I have to read 20 pages of posts...jeepers.

What a coincidence...I have 2 tests (fun fun world history and German...ewww...) tomorrow too and then spring break! However, I'm off to the Mouse's second house with some friends from high school that I haven't seen since July of '05 when we got off the Wonder. Hope you have a great time at Disneyland!

Think this is a funny story. These photo's are from Jenna's 6th birthday last year at Disneyland. Shawn was wearing an Oregon shirt (go figure) and Jenna tells Donald "Go Ducks"! Donald points at Shawn's shirt and writes on a napkin "Go Trojans"! We all got a good laugh out of it and Donald actually messed around with us for half an hour.

Who would've thought Donald would be a traitor to the school he is the mascot for!

If are planning on going to the KSC, you might want to check out the lunch with an astronaut program. GK's loved it. We prepurchased tickets online and just presented the email. One less thing to pay for on the cruise. Seems like when things are prepaid, feels like you are paying less somehow!!

We looked at hotels that weekend, too, and couldn't figure out why there was nothing available that weekend. Now, I know. We'll probably just drive up for the meet and head home after.

We're planning to drive up for the meet also but will probably try priceline a couple of days before for a hotel. We've done really well - a couple of weeks ago we stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Anaheim for $80 (including taxes and fees). (we're in Santee so we go past Fallbrook on the way)

If you do not get this, go watch reruns of STNG (Star Trek, the Next Generation) and tivo the Borg episodes...

While we do on occaision run with scissors, we play nicely with all! What a nice group of peeps we is!!!!

Some of us are going to train for a new marathon on the DCL. The team is being led by Capt. Spanxx. You may sign up for the breakfast buffet marathon or the Palos Brunch marathon. Elastic waist pants are recommended.

Somewhere ice sheets are starting to fall and they can injure people. I have visions of 300 count frozen percale falling from the sky...or big frozen sheets sliding off roofs down the driveways and into streets, and somehow the local youths riding them, trying to turn it into the next X sport, or a new segment of Jacka**... Of course, I am just odd that way...

It's 13.1 miles. The course goes through Disneyland, California Adventures, and Angel Stadium (you get to see yourself on the JumboTron). Disney characters cheer you on in the parks.

I am very sorry if I offended anyone. DH went to UC Berkely and I went to Stanford. USC is a big rival and know there by that unflattering name. I can just imagine what the call our alma maters!!

Not yet, but you should see us on the day of the Big Game!! When we were first married we could not even go to the Big Game together but had to hear it on seperate radios so as not to get divorced.

We couldn't get DL hotels through anyone. Not sure about the other places. Found out from DVC that it was the POC 3 premier and chose a different weekend. As much as I love Pirates, I hate crowds!!

Some history behind "The Tree"

In 1975 the Stanford Band performed a halftime show that suggested (in jest) several possible mascot candidates: the Steaming Manhole, the French Fry, and of course, the Tree. The Tree received so much positive attention that the Band decided to make it a permanent fixture.

For the first decade, the role of the Tree was generally performed by the Band managers' girlfriends; in the mid-1980's, however, the Band adopted a more formal selection process for its Trees. Today's Tree candidates must go through grueling and humiliating physical and mental challenges to show that he or she has sufficient chutzpah to be the Tree. During "Tree Week," candidates are known for performing crazy and apparently dangerous stunts; so much so that the University has felt the need to prohibit certain types of audition activities over the years.

The Tree costume is also a prominent target for rival University of California, Berkeley (Cal) pranksters. In October 1998, fraternity brothers from Cal known as the "Phoenix Five" stole the costume and held it "hostage" for two weeks.
