Another greek (sort of question) the Orthodox Greek Church that we have in Mexico City is called Santa Sofía. Did you name your dd Sophia because it is a popular greek name? (I am just wondering if Sophia is a classic greek name)

Oh, and my dd´s middle name is Sofía, which is a very popular name for girls her age nowadays.

Ok, Folks I am a sad Canadian, went to find some Buffet on itunes (Canada) and there is one, yes one song!

I love his music, but have not added any because i was hoping itunes would have some I could buy by the song, no luck!

Maybe when they add movies and shows they will add on to the library of music as well.

What I do in order to be able to buy Desperate Housewives off itunes is that my friend that lives in NY buys an itunes gift card for me on the net and sends it to my email address, and when I registered on itunes I put her home address as my address. The folks on itunes don´t read your IP country, they read your registered address.

My friend got to go home today - her clots lessen down by 90% after the two procedures. She asked that I come over and give her the Lovenox shot (I'm a nurse). It was nice to see her at home. Thanks for all your prayers - it was a bit scary with her in ICU on basically stroke watch. Glad she got through it.

OK....to give John1 a break from coming up with a new topic, what was everybody's first job and at what age?

Me: Age 14 (1984) -- worked in the cafeteria of a tiny college serving meals to the students. It was called Nazereth College, was primarily a nursing school, and was only a mile down the road from my mom's house so I walked. It had one main building for classrooms and the cafeteria, and one dorm wing attached. Another part of my job was to serve at banquets they also held there on weekends, then clean up afterwards and do dishes.

Yeah, really exciting....I know. Just another topic starter!

I am going to assume that the paper route that I had from age 12 to age 16 does not count, or doing yardwork for an older man in the neighborhood either . . . My first REAL job was working in a decal factory at 16. It was in a bad part of town, and the paints smelled AWFUL. With my history of allergies, I quit after two days. Two days later, I got a phone call to start at the Grocery Chain that I am still working at 30 years later . . . started at $2.40 an hour, and did almost everything you can imagine in a grocery store over the years but work in Meat. Worked my way through High School, College, and Law School.

I don't know about that, lol.

BTW, got Lisa set up with her ipod/itunes tonight and even got some music and playlists on it. Taught her what buttons to press, volume control and how to turn the ipod off. .

OUR Lisa PJ? It took her this long to set up the iPod? Holy Smokes!

Besides babysitting.....I worked as a lifeguard at a pool and then when fall rolled around and I lost my job I went to work at Sears and Roebuck....fitting BRAS!! Like me...a flat chested 16 year old knew anything at all about bras!! I stayed with that job for a long time because I was making such much more money than my friends!! I was making $2.05 per hour and I thought I had hit the jackpot!! My pool job had paid $1 per hour and babysitting was .25 cents per hour. I must be so old......

I should have gotten your job instead! Would have been much more interesting for a 16 year old boy! Of course, it may not have been much more different than packing bags . . .

We got Lexi last Christmas, and Sophia was almost 6. Sophia is a very popular Greek name. In Greek, Sophia means Wisdom. I had an aunt Sophia, but we named Sophia because we liked the name, and she was baptized in the Orthodox church as was her brother Alexander. As an Aside, my father's name is Alexander, and my grandfather was John. It is the Greek tradition to name your firstborn son after your father.

Yes, John our Lisa, had to turn on DM computer and found out that her itunes had disappeared. Then found out that i am board-casting my music library, I hope just over my network, with password.

I just make sure that if i post over "there" that i make it a weekly digest for any e-mail or no e-mail at all.

Okay, it is 12:46am on the East Coast and I need to get up at 6am for church. (I don't think I have told you guys my DH is a minister...that is a different story)...

Anyway, I never stay up this late. Right now there are 8 seventeen year olds in our media room playing xbox.....much rather have them here....keep lots and lots of teenage foods around....but that is a different story as well.

I was thinking about Lisa's (CALMOM) friend and I wanted to spend some time before sleep and really pray for her. Then I thought I would check out web prayer chain and see if anyone there needed any prayers.

Dear friends of ours with 2 little boys.....their oldest was attacked by a rabid Raccoon.....the Raccoon attacked him in their back yard this evening and his leg was all torn up. He is at the hospital right now and they are doing whatever it you need to do to start the Rabies treatment. His name is Stephen....and he is 7 years old. If you are lead, please pray for him this evening.....I understand this is a very difficult treatment.....

I went over to the other side to try and find where they were making fun of us, but I could not find it. I was going to go over and tease them a bit. PJ, you and I both have 11 posts over there - someone daily updates how many posts everyone has.

Maybe we should all pick a day and time and ALL go over there and post like we are posting on our own thread. We can tell them we are just being neighborly and trying to help them out in what matters most!

No pets. Eventually I'd like to get a small dog, but I'm not home much. I work a lot, and if I'm not at work I'm usually out of town. I keep saying that by the time I'm 30 I'll slow down and get a dog, but I'm going to be 30 in 5 months, so maybe by the time I'm 35 I'll get a Boston Terrier.

We have a 4 year old Chinook (dog, about 50 #), a 2 year old white boxer (35#) and a 10 year old calico cat (15#-yes she is overweight!)

That is the logo for a new MAC/Windows compatible DVC manager/planner Ian is doing Alpha testing right now with a group of about thirty poeple.

Last April I asked it there was a MAC DVC manager like Caskbill's, the answer was no, just an online planner and a separate excel based spreadsheet. But one of the DISer, Ian who will be cruising with us, has taken up the call and has developed Mouse Manager, he calls me the Mother of Mouse Manager, lol. There are posts about it in the DVC section.

Not a problem, like Lisa said there was room for 1 more in each limo, so 3 vs 2 works out fine. Sorry, didn't mean to leave out 1 from your party. and nothing is set in stone for anyone, just getting a rough idea so if there was enough interest I could reserve them (as long as cancellation policy was flexible) and we could have them if we wanted them.
