Monica I would love to meet. We head to Orlando often...
I have been thinking about how we are getting to the port and back usually we just drive and leave our car at whatever hotel we stay at and then drive home...but since we will be flying home I am not sure what we are going to do. I guess we could drive to Orlando airport and park...and then get a shuttle or something to drive us to the port...and then when we fly home just fly to Orlando and drive home...man that is going to be a long day,...have you thought about your plans??

Hi Keri - let me know the next time you're heading up this way and we'll get together.

I haven't decided yet what I'm doing yet (transportation). I am used to driving to the port, and leaving my car there. I have purchased the transfers thru DCL for now (airport to port here, then port to LAX in CA), but don't want to have to pay for parking at the airport for that entire time. I was thinking about renting a car for a 1 day rental at both ends here in MCO(picking up the night before as close to my house as possible, with a friend taking me way out, then picking up the car at the airport and returning it either that afternoon, or next day (again w/ help from a friend)). As it gets closer I will be looking into how things stack up $ wise and decide then.

Hope everyone is having a good morning....need to catch up on the last 6 pages.

I would be very interested in a fish extender as I am useless with crafty things. However being in the UK the shipping costs may be high. (I do have a Paypal account to pay) I know this would add to someone's baggage, but any chance we could pick it up onboard? I do understand if the answer is no though!!!:) Other than that I may find someone to make one over here if a pattern is offered!

Not sure if any one else has offered to do this or not, but Marilyn - I'd be willing to have Carol mail it to my house, and bring it along w/ me. Let me know.

Found a FISH EXTENDER picture. I believe this is one of Carol's, that was then personalized by the person who received it. Is that correct, Carol?

I am also wanting to know about shirts with those logo we voted on! I loved them all!

Thank you for posting the picture! I wasn't quite sure what a fish extender was. If I decide to get one, I'll definetly be ordering it, there's no way I could make one of those. I'm not crafty AT ALL!!

If people want to make their own I can post directions on the web site when it is fully up and running. I really don't have a pattern since I put them together from pictures and measurements given to me on the other thread.

I'd love to try to make one...then if it doesn't turn out I can buy one from you! :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing!:goodvibes

ibouncetoo,

Thank you sooooo much. DH and I have been seaching this thread for the pictures that were posted earlier. I dislike the search engine. It kept telling me there was nothing about Fish Extenders which I know is not true. I will keep your post for people that ask in the future.

clynne,

You would be surprised at how much "fish" mail you get. On the 11 night we came home to something new in our extender almost every day. It was great fun. Like it has been posted here before, people go to Oriental Express or make things as gifts for each of the staterooms. It is not mandatory and not everyone gave something, but those that did usually included the whole group so everyone got something. I will see if something can be put on the web site about what was given, etc. On our SC cruise one of the girls was nice enough to put together a monthly newsletter so there was an article in about the origins, etc. Maybe we can do it for the web site.

I have not reached the end of the internet yet :rolleyes1 so I don't know if anyone else has offered, but I have asked Carol to make one for us and I would be happy to have her send yours to us as well and then deliver it to you at the port.

I can't see a blue check mark - most threads have them but this one doesn't, it just says "Poll" where the check mark should be. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know.:confused3 It is there for me unless I was the last one to post on the thread, in which case just going to the last post gets me where I need to be.??

tell me what these are? I will also participate (since I LOVE DISers), at any cost, but do not know what it is.:confused3

Is anyone doing shirts with the Mickey Pirate logo? (I voted for this one also):woohoo: :woohoo:

ONE MORE QUESTION: anyone flying out of Philadelphia Airport for this cruise and if they are, would you PM me and maybe we could 'hook up' - My DH and I are truly nice people (right, LiserAnn?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ) and just want to get to know DISers as early as possible.

Lucy and Bob

Check out the photo page on the website, (if you don't have the link yet, please PM.) I had to use Google to find the same picture, lol.

T-shirts? How are people feeling about using home (dark material) transfers?

I'd be interested in what kinds of things people chose to deliver. On our one and only cruise, we played DIStag (thank you, Elizabeth!). That, coupled with our new found AZ aunties and, again, a certain ToyStory character and his lovely wife, managed to have some sort of fish mail waiting for us ALMOST every time we came back to the room. Let alone every day. The kids started expecting mail! (DD even asked on the drive from the airport to home, if maybe there was a surprise waiting for us at the house! Unfortunately, the only surprise was a messload of laundry!) I guess I was just thinking, how would all the pockets of the extenders be filled? I think I answered my own question...

We'd really like to participate in Fish Extender Mail!

Carolyn

ok - checking to see if DD's actions were successful in inserting the logo for this cruise into my sig line - here's hoping!

AMENDMENT: DD says I have to tell you all that I was trying for over 1 hr - she managed to figure it out in 5 minutes! Credit given where credit is due

I just posted this on the MED cruise thread I am on, but I have to post it here too......how awesome is this.......

Okay, this is just toooooooooooo weird.

We are on this cruise with you.
We are on the Westbound Panama with you
We are on the Eastbound Panama with you

Do you think someone is trying to tell us we need to meet??

T-shirts? How are people feeling about using home (dark material) transfers?

That works for us. The Geeks ran into trouble finding any commercial t-shirt maker that would put anything with anything Disney recognizable on it. We have Mickey on this so we may have to do the iron on transfer. They looked fine on our Geek shirts.

:lmao: Funny.....I just picked up 'a little something' at the craft store Friday that will fit right in your FISH EXTENDER pockets.
