Voice of experience here......PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE print out your 3 important forms...
1..the Cruise contract Signatures, where the parents sign for the kids.
2.the cruiise contract form....with the last 4 digits of your credit card on it and the credit card owner signs it.
3. guest information...no signatures needed, but it has each guest's name on it and the emergency contact person.

I know these things....Connie

Thank you Connie. I have been avoiding doing this because I don't have my "paperwork" folder organized yet and I was afraid I would lose it all. Can all this be printed and done just right before you leave or does it help DCL at all to have it done earlier?

Thanks!

I just got off the phone speaking to Armando, the manager of the Enterpise Car Rental in San Pedro, CA. His is the only Enterprise open on Sunday. He is only open from 9am-12noon. They have a shuttle but to pick you up and take you to the office.

I tried to find out what ikinds of vans and full size cars they have, and all he would tell me is that they have all kinds of cars....

So, if anyone is renting from them. just remember their hours.

A shuttle? That's not what their ad says "They'll pick you up", and it intimates a personal ride in the car you chose. Sheesh ;)

I truely believe that DCL just stands on the street corner and yells "who wants to work our phone lines for DCL?" I called and inquired about the rooms and was told in about 3 weeks we will know. Have you ever noticed that you get a different answer everytime you ask?

Screaming with laughter -- :rotfl: :rotfl:

I would say it depends on what you are used to.

When we went in May 2005 it was quite warm for us.
This is what my Sister wore on May 12 at about 10am in the morning in DL:

You're right - that's us in the background wearing sweatshirts!

I think you have until 72 hours before hand to complete the on-line check-in, if not done, then you go old school and do the forms in your mailed documents.

I have only done my flight information, lol. Oh, and changed my Passport information, since I had to get a new one for the last port of the cruise, darn governments.

Canadians have to have a passport that is valid for a full six months after arrival in Mexico, and Cabo is 2 days after that date for me, so sad.

I've never really understood that.

Let's put an expiry date on a passport.
Now, you can't use that passport if it is 6 months BEFORE that expiry date.
But that 6 month date is not an expiry date.
Passports are only good for 5 years (generally speaking).
Unless of course you plan to travel with it then it is only good for 4.5 years.

So why the heck put the first expiry date on it in the first place? Why not just make it originally 4.5 years if that is what you really want for the tax grab??

Can you imagine milk cartons with expiry dates like a passport????

Here is what I posted on the other thread:

...... She has been doing research to decide if this would be useful for people. Any thoughts everyone? What would help you prepare for a cruise? New cruiser or veteran cruiser?

I'd like to respond to this this weekend, when I have time to mull it over. Will you ask again on our new thread?

Greetings. I can't recall if I've posted to this thread before. I was active on the last PC cruise in May 05 but life is much busier now than it was 3 years ago. Just thought I would say hello to all! Just two of us coming this time. Am axiously awaiting room assignment. :) Just want to know where my home will be!

ttfn and see you all soon!

Hello! Please stop by the 3P DIS meet and say "HI".

:lmao: My guess is they will have a zillion customers from the ship and will be hauling them by the shuttle=load. (OK, maybe not a ZILLION.......)

.
Feeling a bit better this afternoon, energy-wise at least.

I can tell you from experience (I did DCL reservations from 11/04-10/05) that WE (res agents) were told many different answers to the same questions. At times it did seem like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

I do know that what I was told about gty status rooms is that you may be assigned a room up to the day of departure.

Ken, we can go to the states in the last six months and a couple of other countries, but I haven't figured out which ones yet. It is more the visited country's requirements then Canada's.

What I would love is if they would make it 10 years, like the states does. Then I don't care about the six months, I will be ready for a new photo then.

I made a mistake of stopping by Beall's Outlet on my way home today to look at swimsuits. Got a really cute one for $19....it was $88!

But I also got a pair of knee length shorts, 3 tops and an aqua skirt to wear on Fiesta Night!

Sure, it was outlet priced, but I didn't go on "Senior's Day" so I didn't get my extra 15% off......Oh, well, I like all of it, I just hope the shorts fit. I didn't try them on1 :laundy:

Connie---which one???? I should go over there! I went to the one at Osceola Mall last friday and got 2 tops and a dress for $31.

I thought that the Hyatt gets your luggage for you.:confused3

They haven't the last two times we have used the DCL package. We picked up the luggage took it to the hotel and then they took it from there. :confused3 DCL does pick it up in the morning though.

I hope to be on the first bus but with two tired kids, that might be hard. But we will get down there asap.

Hope you can make it. We are planning on taking over the 1st bus. :rotfl2:

I am arriving at MCO at 8:50 p.m. and once I collect my luggage and get up to the resort, I will look for you guys in the lobby. Will you be wearing lime green, champagne pink, or multicolored wigs?? LOL.

Not sure what I will be wearing but we will have lanyards on so we should be easy to spot. That will be my Dis green if nothing else. May save my shirt for the next day. :) Tammy

I can't even get the room fairy!
Ditto!

well at least you'll know for sure in 37 days! ;)

I don't think I have ever known DCL to be so unorganized as they are on this cruise. All the other ones I have taken went much smoother, including the 11 night SC. Wonder what gives. :confused3

pj, I'm no longer on this cruise. Please take me off the list.

Denise Ezell

BUMMER!

I don't know what was funnier in that skit: The actual skit or Harvey Korman not being able to keep it together.

Here is the youtube version:

Thanks for this. I don't remember if I ever saw it but it is hilarious.

Venetia, you stole it from Linda!!!pirate: You are so clever popping in just when a pirate is close.

Must have been the 40 second rule Linda!!!

My thoughts exactly. She was just waiting for me to post so she could get the pirate!!!!

I asked this a bunch of times and got NOTHING. I tried the main board and another website still NOTHING. There really may be nobody who is cleared to do this in California? :confused3

I just saw Tony's post on the other thread. He and Adrienne are working on it. The own The Charming Shoppe in Orange, CA. It is a great store! They also have mouseshoppe.com

Okay, back to catching up.

I just came across this on the main threads

"We sailed July 9th, 2005 (I know it's a month after you are sailing). The west coast usually has something called "June Gloom". June tends to be cloudy and cool. (especially in San Diego) We were COLD on our cruise. I hadn't brought sweatshirts because I thought "hey, its' Mexico! It's always hot!"

We sailed June 4-11, 2005. It was very windy and cold, we also didn't bring any jackets or long sleeved shirts, we ended up buying some onboard. In Mexico it was fine (it was hot), but coming back on the last sea day very few people in deck 9 since it was very windy."

Hmmmm, this might mean a few more hoodies

Any thoughts?

Once we left Cabo, the weather turned cool. DCL had scheduled a BBQ up on deck the final sea day, but cancelled it because no one was outside. THe morning we came into port, we all had jackets on. It was that California ocean weather, cool, breezy and damp. It was definitely a change from what we had experienced the whole cruise. I remember trying to get warm up on deck!
