We are next. :yay: :yay: :yay:

May 3 cruisers just got their room assignments. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Let's finally get out of the life boats, lounges, pop up tents, sleeping bags and blow up mattresses. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Check next Tuesday.

But I will be in St Maartin! I can just see me sitting on the beach with my computer checking DCL every 3 minutes!

Does he know about the tall tales, pull up a sandbag etc, drinking session that is planned for all members of the military, ex-members, spouses, friends, dogs, parrots, and anyone else who wants to come along?

I've forgotten who's in charge of organising a date and venue. Some Army type, I think. Steve (onekindman) possibly?

By the way. It's the 90th birthday of the Royal Air Force today! :cheer2:

Thanks - i'll let him know!!!:thumbsup2

Yes, it is funny how different words can have wildly different meanings from country to country.

I remember when living in the UK, watching a Golden Girls episode that had a line that must have been a bit shocking for Brits.

One of the characters said about another:

"She's gained so much weight that she has to grease herself up to squeeze her fanny in her jeans."

VERY DIFFERENT meanings in that phrase between the US and the UK!

Good suggestion - we are at 1:00 out of LAX - and taking the Disney shuttle so we will be leaving early.

:rotfl: we are on a 6:30 am flight out of LAX......ugh.....so believe it or not...I've arranged for a 2:30 am pickup.....just want to get there and then we can relax....We get home at 6 pm......and I go to work the next day.....:confused3

Goodmorning all, Another busy day getting ready for cruise and business trips.

Our pool has ice. The penguins love it.
Woody

This is cracking me up... it has been the coldest winter in a long time here. Every day the weather guy says, "we are still about 10 degrees under our norm!"

I don't believe I've been to a Cracker Barrel. Am I missing something?Woody

Drive around the south or Florida to find one.

Thanks! I was hoping to have breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen that morning but don't know if we'll have time.

NO, unless they are open at 7 and you are completely ready. I think they open at 8, but I'm never there at that time, so I don't know.

Kelly, thanks. We have a towncar picking us up so at least we are not driving.

They will probably say 9:01.

Not sure if it's been around before... thought it was funny for April Fools!!!

Hollywood Studios renamed Trump Studios

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida. -- In an unprecedented move, the Walt Disney World Resort has lost Disney's Hollywood Studios in a hostile take over by the Trump Organization, and it's audacious CEO Donald Trump. Previously known as Disney-MGM Studios, the park recently underwent a name change to Disney's Hollywood Studios, reflecting the changing focus of the park to reflect a celebration of the new entertainment that today's Hollywood has to offer—in music, television, movies and theater.

The Trump Organization had been in discussions with the Walt Disney Resort over several sponsorship opportunities and development projects outside of the current Disney resort areas. It became apparent, as negotiations failed, that the Trump Organization had no choice but to stage a hostile take over of one of the Disney theme parks if it was interested in putting their name in front of the thousands of theme park guests that visit each day.

Starting on April 1, 2008, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be known as Trump Studios. It will take several months for all the signage in the park and the Walt Disney World resort to be updated to show the change. Several changes to the park will be made over the coming months to reflect the new ownership:

1. All DVC locations will be converted to sales locations for the Trump Towers, high scale condominium towers located in major cities nationwide. Full scale condos will be built in the current Disney Animation building.

2. Apprentice Live attraction - The plans for the upcoming American Idol attraction have been scraped, and will be replaces with the Apprentice Live attraction. Guests will watch an episode of the Apprentice recreated by cast members, including an animatronic Donald Trump, complete with the "You're Fired" catch phrase.

3. The Backlot tour will be retrofitted to take guests on a tour of Trump properties from around the world, including Trump Tower in New York, Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and Mar-A-Lago, Trump's palatial estate. Catastrophe Canyon will remain, but will be retrofitted to reenact a scene from a Miss USA pageant, complete with existing out of control fire and flooding.

4. The famous Mickey Mouse ears will no longer be sold in the park, but will be replaced by Donald Trump replica wigs, which are expected to be a big hit.

5. The Great Movie Ride will be converted to Trump Orlando, a full service casino, a first for a theme park.

Many other fantastic rides and attractions are to be announced in the coming months. The Donald himself looks forward to welcoming all guests to the new Trump Studios during The Donald Weekend during all the weekends in May.

This is so funny that I just sent it to 4 friends!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I prefer the PA Dutch style of chicken pot pie (think Cracker Barrell's Chicken and Dumplings).

And this was a discussion we had on another very active thread a couple of years ago. That is why PJ :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: when she saw chicken pot pie mentioned. ;)

And here is the whole gang.

GREAT pics, but this is my favorite since we get to see everybody's smiling faces together! :goodvibes

I lost my oldest daughter in the year 2000. she was just 4 1/2 years old. One of the hardest things for me was the memories or lack of enough memories I should say. I had started to feel like I should have done more, seen more, gone more, etc with her. Then I thought what if the roles were reversed? What if I were gone tomorrow, what would my kids have to remember me by? What about when they are grown what will they remember of their childhood? I want to make sure my kids have strong memories of us playing together, laughing, hugging, smiling, giggling, and the over all feeling that mom really loves them more then anything in the whole wide world. I would give my kids anything and would do anything for them but I feel the most important thing I can do for them is to give them a solid foundation of love to build the rest of their lives on. :cloud9:

15 years ago I lost my home, 6 cats and every single thing I owned right down to my shoes and baby book. EVERYTHING, but I had my memories and nobody can ever take those away.

In my work I hear horror stories every day about people losing their children to drugs, but it is when kids tell me about losing their parents that is heart breaking. But its not the car crashes or physical ailments that are the saddest… I can’t tell you how many stories I hear about “accidental” loss like taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) with alcohol, or mixing energy drinks with alcohol, over the counter meds mixed with prescription meds and especially overdose of prescription meds. All they want to know is “why did my mom do that? Didn’t someone tell her that she couldn’t mix those things together?” Didn’t she love me enough? Those children live their life wondering what they did wrong and forget the good memories.

One of the topics I discuss in my parent meetings is intention. Think back to when your baby was born and what you thought about the future of that child. We get so very caught up in the day to day grind of getting to school, making dinner, doing the laundry, getting to soccer, making ends meet that we forget the little things in life are what kids remember. Even if it isn’t the actual act of what you did together it creates a sense memory and a bond that is never forgotten. That fosters confidence in a child that they carry with them for the rest of their life. They are watching everything you do and that example of “Making Memories” creates a life time of confidence that they will use to stand up to their fears and make good choices about every path they take.

Marr, No parent should ever outlive their own child, but you’re doing the right thing with your children yesterday, today and tomorrow. It all counts and makes a difference.

I didn't get to have any kids of my own, but I have 5 of the greatest kids (nieces and nephews...) (one of which hates me right now because she wants to go on this cruise!!! :rotfl2: (she'll be taking finals during May...)

But I started along time ago telling each one of them that I loved them. When they were little I never expected them to answer because, you know, they go through those awkward stages... then one day... with my oldest... it just came out... Love you Aunt Shell... I melted...:cloud9: They all do it now, even when they are in front of their friends.

Well Aunt Shell, I can tell you on this.. that I too have an aunt who didn’t have any children. And I am closer to her than my own parents! And I know that she loves me like her own child. They feel that love and the bond is special and can be held by nobody else.

Which 0 point soup are you refering to? Is it the progresso brand. If so try the southwest zesty one. It's very good. Nice and spicy. At least for me. I'm not a super hot(spicy) eater.
Yummy! That sounds really good.....I'm going to have to pick some up. :goodvibes

excellent post...I need to start being the best mom and parent I can be.

The main reason I still shoot film.....cannot bear the replacement cost.

Not sure how much gear to lug on board with me.....

Apparently Pentax film lenses all fit the current digital cams. Obviously there are some loss of features from the camera to the lens, but they all are supposed to work. Not sure what brand you have, but Pentax does make it less painful.

I found this compatibility chart for the Pentax lenses. It doesn't have the latest generation of cameras that just came out, but if it works on the K10D it should work on the K2* series. Pentax Lens chart
