Well, I was actually thinking of FLORIDA pools! We have always heated ours all winter long, and this is the first year since we moved here that we didn't......but it still looks pretty.......

So, let me check, how many of us this side of the Atlantic have pools then? :rotfl2:

Are you the first people to get crazy about packing or are you getting ready by now????
I have my list and my daughters list all done, just have to actually pack...bags are out, things are being gathered....DH makes his own list, as he insists I always pack too much...he was in the Armed Services and thinks that he can get away with a lot less than I think he can:rotfl: :rotfl: !!

I also have my pre-trip shopping list, my trip shopping list, my list of things to do before we leave, my list of things to do while we are away, as we are away for six weeks (you get four weeks paid holidays every year in Australia).....can anyone say OCD!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I don't believe I've been to a Cracker Barrel. Am I missing something?

Woody

In the UK, Cracker Barrel is a brand of cheese.

Learn something every day on the DIS, don't you? ;)

THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!! They're perfect!!!! What a wonderful birthday surprise to see these today!! As you can tell I'm a little far behind but had a fun busy day!!!! Thanks again!!!!! Everyone will be so excited to see these tomorrow!!!!!

:bday: :bday: :bday:

Ask our Australian friends about the Canadian clothing company "Roots". They got a real kick out of our Olympic team coming out with "Roots" emblazoned on their clothes (guess the US Olympic team is doing that too now - using "Roots" as a clothing supplier).

Ah, yes...in Australia that is a VERB!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

About 15 years ago, my parents did a tour of the eastern united states on a bus with a lot of other Aussie's.....the tour guide got on the bus and introduced himself straight away with the greeting:

'Hi Everybody, I'm Randy!'

Much hilarity and snickering ensued.......

PS Apologies to any Randy's out there - another cultural clash!!

Whew. If that was just the audition..... :rotfl: OzDisneyfan:

Thankyou Ken, sorry I missed the note about sending a PM. It is fantastic - you are very talented - a DOD will be on its way!!

Thanks again

British Airways has the tracking number for the luggage, but does not know where it is (or, for that matter, any of the luggage for that flight).

BA now has our friends' cruise itinerary. The soonest they expect to deliver it is at one of the ports in Hawaii, but there is no guarantee since they don't know where the luggage is.

Woody

So much for the supposed security issue of luggage not being able to travel without the passenger. :confused3 Think of all the times you've sat on an aircraft while bags are unloaded because a passenger hasn't shown up.

I would like to declare, as a Briton, that I completely disassociate myself from this airline! ;)

I lost my oldest daughter in the year 2000. she was just 4 1/2 years old. One of the hardest things for me was the memories or lack of enough memories I should say. I had started to feel like I should have done more, seen more, gone more, etc with her. Then I thought what if the roles were reversed? What if I were gone tomorrow, what would my kids have to remember me by? What about when they are grown what will they remember of their childhood? I want to make sure my kids have strong memories of us playing together, laughing, hugging, smiling, giggling, and the over all feeling that mom really loves them more then anything in the whole wide world. I would give my kids anything and would do anything for them but I feel the most important thing I can do for them is to give them a solid foundation of love to build the rest of their lives on. :cloud9:

A perfect expression of love....

Unless of course a really cheap Business Class seat is offered!;)

I spoke with a Friend who used this concept for mailing postcards when CC was closed. They asked Guest SErvices and GS took the cards and gave them to one of the people who stay on the island all the time. Then that person went to the post office the next time it was open.

HOWEVER, the cards took forever to arrive - they were for kids who were sailing about one month later and the cards still had not arrived by sail date...

This was the member cruise last year if I recall correctly.

So, GS is a good place to try, it would save stamps, and if it were the momento of being mailed from CC worth a try....If it is the postcard, then better to mail when you return from the STates.

Woohoo! My new 50mm f1.4 lens just arrived!!!

Now I need to go and get a new filter for it so I can test it out! A whole month before I cruise so I can get to learn its idiosyncrasies!

The main reason I still shoot film.....cannot bear the replacement cost.

Not sure how much gear to lug on board with me.....

By the way...I will not be ordering any pins on this cruise so if they only let us order 1 set per person..anyone that wants an extra set, I will order it for you. PM me...first come first served. And no additional charging here ;)

That is sweet.....I am not pming to ask, just saying thanks in general.

I may order one or two pins, as I collect mostly Chip and Dale....I'm sure I will get some for gifts - and maybe a souvenier...

Ok, so make that more than one or two....but I am not a collector.

REally,

honest....

only a few....

Gydell..I'm no expert on leaving from LAX, but if you have a noon flight..and 2 hour check in I would leave DL at the lastest of 8:30...with LA traffic and the airport being so busy I wouldn't chance anything.

Woody or Kelly might have a better take since they live down in that neck of the woods

Good suggestion - we are at 1:00 out of LAX - and taking the Disney shuttle so we will be leaving early.

I ended up deleting the older one in favour of the newer one. As such, the old one is now no longer available.

My flickr account is quickly reaching it's maximum size. I've had to delete a few pics from it already. None from this cruise though - just some of my other ones.

You've been so great - maybe you should ask everyone to download within xxx days?????

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for letting me vent last night and for all the well wishes. Sometimes that's what it takes to be able to put your head down again and start slogging through. I made sure I went to bed at the same time as Sophia so I got a good night's rest so that I can deal with what today may bring.

Woody, I must say I enjoyed the dial-up / DSL comparison - too funny!

Did I tell you all the Indians beat the White Sox yesterday for the opener too! (Sorry Ian if you are a fan)

Have a great day everyone!
