That's what we had to do. They also would not let me have the discount with the cat 11. I am planning on booking a dummy date so I hope it is the way you are saying and not how it was last year.

Jolene, I had the same thing with my 3 year old. It kept saying Flounders right up until I decided to go in and register. Then when I went in and registered her there was a question about potty training and I was able to get her into the kids clubs and not Flounders. She now reads that she is registered with the Kids clubs.

I suggest going into your ressie and actually go through booking her into Kids Clubs and just ignore the "eligible for Flounders" as it will change once you tell the system she is potty trained.

Thanks so much! I was afraid if I registered her it would go to Flounders! I ignored the details and just registered her anyway. Then I checked back and it says she is registered for the Club. I wouldn't have thought of doing that!

Your advice is appreciated.

OK good, so since I booked our dummy date in June, I feel better telling you all what I just did. I guess the way to find out now is to find someone who had cruised recently that has also booked a dummy cruise. Know of anyone?

Also, checked the website this morning to see if we have a room yet, which we don't, and saw there is a cat 5 open as well as the haunted cat 4.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't category 10s and lower have a split bath? I believe cat 11 and 12 only have one bathroom.

We booked a cat 10 and got the 10% discount and had to pay $750 deposit(3 people).

The 10's have the split bathroom. Otherwise the same.

Yes, but the thinking, I think, would be that it is a dummy date, and you would be moving it to a new date that opens, hopefully at the earliest time possible. So everyone would have to be re-priced/added at that earliest booking time, ie when a new schedule opens.

I think this is a great method if this is what the thinking is now on the re-booking agent's side.

Do you know of any groups that have 2 spots open for a Palo brunch? We are really interested in being able to secure a res for brunch but was unable to when our booking window opened up. We will try to get one when we board ship if not. Thanks.

Vicki, we haven't even looked at grouping Diser's yet. But send a PM with Dis name for one person (which meal you are interested in), real name (first and last) and cabin for each person in group, and I will add you to the spreadsheet.

. If you book a dummy date, how long do you have to use the deposit after you cancel?

To infiniti and beyond. HOWEVER. the 'deal' may change on the later dates. If the current deal is 10% off and $200 stateroom credit, in later years they man change the deal to 5% and $150 (or something) and you would have to go with the new deal for your new cruise date.

Hey I would book just the one person, especially if you know that the cruise date is not one you will keep, and will be rebooking when a new schedule opens. Just be prepared to pay the additional deposits at the time of rebooking/adding on people.

I hope the cat 10 and up only for the discount is not there when we cruise, because of DM I can only do a cat 11 for an inside as she requires a HCP room. The bump for us would be to a Cat 8 not, 10 or 9 even.

Jackie, we can blend the lists, but I didn't know that we had closed the list. I only knew that I was hosting it. From what I understood, you wanted a specific date and were making a request to ask for that date. DCL will be making Palo private room decisions in the next two weeks. We don't have enought people to fill the requests that were already sent in, we can slot Disers, from all lists (if you are interesting in hosting some of those on the old list,) into dates that are actually given to us.

OK...just got person #10 for the Palo list. So Vicki, if you send me your info we will now have 12 (room can take up to 14) and can turn in another request.

I'll need your name(s), cabin # of GTY Cat # and your DCL reservation # (I don't think I actually need the DCL reservation # until, and if, we are 'granted' the room--but I'd need it right away, so better to send it now.
