At least I'm getting really familiar with everyone who is coming on the cruise!! LOL!

and if we did I think I would want it to be on one of the new ships. so it would have to be a dummy date.

We booked a dummy date on the Med cruise and only had to put down $250 to hold the cabin, not per person.

Me too. I don't want to take the kids out every year. We want to book a dummy date because the school district is thinking of starting early in August and getting out in May. I thought we could try for one in May. If you book a dummy date, how long do you have to use the deposit after you cancel?

I think you'll get a refund as long as you're not booking into a cat. 1, 2, or 3. Unless something has changed.

Vicki, I wonder if they only booked one adult into that Dummy date, as they and you knew that it was a dummy date? If so, this is a great way to book a dummy date, less for the client to lay out, more likely to book, and Disney gets some money up front.

If this is the case, I think I might book a dummy date, just in case. Don't want to miss out on the OBC and discount.

They told me that if I don't book each person($250) then when I add them it would be at the going rate.

Yes, they only booked one name for the res. It works great that way!

Vicki

Doesn't it make it seem that much closer to reality??

IT SURE DOES!!!! You should see the grin on my face. I taped the envelope to the back door. DH will see it when he comes home from golf. He'll be grinning from ear to ear as well. :teeth:

Then that is something new since June '07. Were you speaking to a cast member on the phone or someone on the ship?

This is a really good idea. Say I book a dummy date for Sept 2009 and then change it to another cruise. How far away could the cruise that we actually take be?

PJ,
Do you know of any groups that have 2 spots open for a Palo brunch? We are really interested in being able to secure a res for brunch but was unable to when our booking window opened up. We will try to get one when we board ship if not. Thanks.

The ship, on the TA cruise they made us put down $250 per person for a dummjy date.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I am sorry to read about everyone's troubles and heartaches. Hoping things get easier for everyone.

I have a question. My daughter was 1 (almost 2) when I booked this cruise. She just turned 3 a few weeks ago. The online registration info still says she is only eligable for Flounders Nursery and will not let me register her for the club. I spoke to a rep and he was not helpful, said it should not say that as the system puts down that she is 3 ATOC. I asked him if there was anything he could change in the system to let it accept her and he said no, it should be fine. He said he didn't know why it would be like that.
Will I be in trouble if I can't register her until at the terminal? I was hoping to get this all squared away before the trip.
I read about someone else on here who has the same situation, were they able to register their child???

Thanks!

Jolene

I ran out to Walmart. They have a Travel Friendly size 2.7 oz tube of Crest Toothpaste. It should be just the right size for DH and I.

I got one for us and kids (Sponge Bob). That will be enough for us.

So to get the 10% off a family of four would pay $1000.00?

That's what we had to do. They also would not let me have the discount with the cat 11. I am planning on booking a dummy date so I hope it is the way you are saying and not how it was last year.

No problem - do the forms at the dock.

Years. You can move it as far out as there are sailings and then move it again.

You need to change the 'dummy date' cruise before the penalty window, so whatever cruises are announced before that time. Got it????

Not sure now. Don't want to give out wrong info. The TA in May or Aug?

Jolene, I had the same thing with my 3 year old. It kept saying Flounders right up until I decided to go in and register. Then when I went in and registered her there was a question about potty training and I was able to get her into the kids clubs and not Flounders. She now reads that she is registered with the Kids clubs.

I suggest going into your ressie and actually go through booking her into Kids Clubs and just ignore the "eligible for Flounders" as it will change once you tell the system she is potty trained.
