That sound really good right now as I am trying to eat better and healthy foods only.

CALMOM... how did the juice fast go? I am still thinking of doing one and would like some honest insight. Feel free to PM me if you don't mind sharing info.

add me to that pm I'm interested too.

I was a Maverick the other day listening to our VP of Sales about the Sunkist juice. Not a unprocessed juice like what you'd make at home, but he commented that if you subbed it out for a regular meal that you'd lose weight. I'm tempted, as I have found that I really like some of the flavors, but it seems odd to me emotionally. Logically it makes sense, it's a full of fruits, and nothing else so while it is high in fruit sugar it would be better for me than my usual Togos sandwhich or other fast food. I might try it. If it works I'll let ya know.

Hey Lillygator, I have diverticulitus also. It is a mild version. I think that they can correct it with surgery if it is very bad. Many people have it but never have symptoms, so they don't know. They can watch him and do regular cancer screenings and he might never have any really serious side effects like cancer. But I am not a medical doctor or nurse, just what I have found out since I have discussed it with several doctors.

Tammy

His is pretty bad I think, he's been in pain for quite some time and not been seen or treated, he's been in the hospital for a week and needs to stay at least another week! Not sure if he has other issues, my Grandma hates hospitals and won't go to them, so it was relayed by phone.

The girls are fed and bathed, waiting on the eggs to cool so they can dye some eggs before going to bed. We'll have to do more Friday night I am sure, John loves making his eggs!

I have steamed peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, sauteed vegggies and smashed parm potatoes for John when he gets home...! Maybe I can sprinkle out those darn rose petals tonight!

sounds nice V. Have a fun night with DH ;)

In loving memory of a great husband and father to our two children...
We love and miss you honey!

Did I miss something?

Tammy, I saw this too, but didn't know how to comment. My prayers and thoughts are with you on your loss.

I hope your gma is doing well...

while I was home I found out my uncle was in the hospital with diverticulitius...I KNOW the spelling is wrong....he's only a couple years older than John, after asking around at work I found that it most often develops into colon cancer. :(
     Is this the uncle who was trying to work on your car a while back or gave you advice on that car?

Tammy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your DH and the father to your kids. What a shocking way to have to grieve. I do remember seeing you from a long while back, I just figured you had been here all along. I hope this time with the kids will offer some healing and of course, join in with us nutso chatty cathys as you can.

Thanks.

DH has diverticulitus too. He was in alot of pain but once he started medicine it got better. He is supposed to eat a special diet now but doesn't. There are certain thing like oatmeal that are better. It hasn't come back yet (knock on wood).

I heard on the Today Show that in 100 years redheads will be extinct. Isn't that wierd? DH, DD and I are all redheads (of course mine changes a lot these days)

that is an interesting fact. We must start a save the redhead society!!! or not :lmao:

V, sorry to hear that. Prayers for your uncle and rest of your family. My father acutally passed away as a result of diverticulitius. His intestine burst, and most likely you have surgery for this but in his case he was too weak from a prior pnemonia and refused additional treatment (torment) and passed away a week after diagnosis.

My mom has had it since the early 80's and no cancer. So not always. She follows the diet and hasn't had a flare up in a while.

I plan on bringing a corkscrew...anyone can borrow if needed.

for a fee of course, right??? :lmao:

We got one last time from our room steward too, he told us to take it home as a souvie.

Lisa - what bag will my HP 17 inch laptop fit in? I am having a hard time finding one that suits me....

I think I have a Targa for my 17inch, I'll check when I go back to my office.

It is onsale at our Disney outlet here and I think it did have the hat.
