I'm a redheaded mom too! I cut off 12 inches of my hair 1 1/2 years ago and donated to Locks of Love too. I was really, really nervous beforehand. Now it about the length of Molly's and red (as long as I keep getting rid of the grey every 6 weeks or so!)

I heard on the Today Show that in 100 years redheads will be extinct. Isn't that wierd? DH, DD and I are all redheads (of course mine changes a lot these days)

A corkscrew packed in checked luggage is a good idea.

Woody

Or you can ask your room steward to bring you one too. It made a great free souvie (well I did tip...and it wasn't the bed corkscrew but it worked).

I was originally booked on this cruise when it first came out but had to cancel due to problems with the school district. My husband did pass away recently, and the school districts, I had to deal with two, did understand under the circumstances that the kids and I needed to get away from the memories and the press since this was a murder by a burglar.

My son, 16, has been suffering from high blood pressure the last few weeks (we are trying to rule out organic causes), I guess the strain is too much, and my daughter, 10, is having constant back aches, I assume this is stress and I had her checked out at the pediatrician today who said it might be stress or she could have strained somehow. I am a total zombie and I am hoping the this cruise will enable us to forget our troubles for a while and laugh and have smiles and fun again.

I think I am too late to get in on most of the stuff you guys have been planning for over a year, but in a couple of days, I will send our info out, I saw a thread about it. I would like to attend some meets or whatever you guys have cooked up. I haven't had time to do any planning. I just have the cruise booked and airfare booked. But I still have time.

Thanks for listening, my DH was a great guy and very loved in the community. We will miss him forever.

Tammy

Tammy, so sorry to hear this story - I can only imagine what you went through. I echo what everyone has said - there are so many people that will keep all of you in their thoughts and prayers. Sounds like this cruise is perfect timing. Do you plan to see Disneyland after the cruise?

Tammy,
I do remember you and am so glad you are coming on this cruise. I am deeply, deeply sorry for your tremendous loss. Two things to do - PM Edna Mode and let her know your names as she is ordering Lanyards right now. Then PM Liserann and give her all your details (cabin number, email if you like) and you will be added to the master list Seaulater Linda is using to make her mini-navigator.

I can't tell you what a wonderful group of people are going on this cruise. You will have lots of support. Let us know how we can help. If there is a fund that has been established, please post that information here as I know many of us would like to support you. :grouphug:

Oh my. Sounds like you need this vacation a lot more than I do. Whatever we can do to help or include you, please don't hesitate to ask. Bless you and your family.

So, for those on this thread not shipping, I can pay and have as many boxes shipped as I need and use their stateroom number for the receiving end.....okay all scrapbook problems solved!

We arn't shipping a box, you can use our room #.

Tammy- I am so sorry. I am glad you are on our cruise again. If you want to be on a Fish Team to help hand out things, I am sure our group won't mind. You won't need to contribute anything just get together on the ship and put together and hand out our gifts.

All my work is done, now just waiting to leave for a vendor's event at the Hockey Hall of Fame. It will be my first time there, should be interesting, the evening is all about Supplies(ink and paper), Printing and Peripherals Event.

So I get to hear Epson, Canon, Lexmark and other printer people talk for a couple of hours then they do draws for stuff.

Pj

And HP wasn't there? Welcome to my life. Being married to a very dedicated HP product manager, not only do I get to hear about printer stuff...but it gets delivered to my house regularly. Our garage currently houses 4 HP printers....one is a mammoth printer and let's not talk toner. But I shouldn't bite the hand that feeds me, so I'll shut up....I love my printer man.

Nan, you don't owe us any favours!!

I will have a look thanks.

There is this red one which I like.

http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Christmas-R...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

Otherwise they have white(http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Guayabera-S...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262, beige, peach and banana!!!!

I think the red is quite Mexican, but fancy the white one too. Banana is different and rare they say!!!

Actually there is a cream on which is very nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Cream-Pearl...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

What do you think?

Marilyn:

I had purchased the red one for Paul, and looked at the ivory one too, not sure what the banana one is? I ended up getting the lite blue which is very nice also, we will keep it, but I want the red to match with my dress. So let me know which you like and I'll add it to my request and have it for you on the ship.

Nan

Tammy - who all is cruising with you? Are you planning on staying in California at all after the cruise?

I am V - well Vanessa, but everyone calls me V....DH, John and two DD's Samantha 5 and Haley 3. Are you on early or late dining?

I am cruising with my son and daughter, so just the three of us. Way back last summer, I had planned a college reunion of sorts with two other mothers and their kids, so funny as it seems, we are heading back to Orlando after the cruise. We were supposed to have one week of the 'reunion" with just my friends and kids, and then the next week was supposed to be me and the kids and my husband. I have changed the dates and resorts for that part of the trip because it would be too hard to go without him for that week.

We are late dining, as that was all that was available. We might not make it to dinner every night, I am not sure at this point.

Tammy - do you have a room # or are you staying in the lifeboats with several of us?

I guess I am in the lifeboats, I am a guarantee.

Disneyland would be great, but we have plans to meet with friends in Orlando after the cruise.

I went to the Dr. in Augusta Ga about my nose spur. I do have one, the whole inside of my nose is crooked and messed up. However he says its not whats causing my headahes and he wouldn't operate until the medicine stops working. He told me not to go to my Dr. here any more and I have MIGRANES. Not what I wanted to hear. So I am finding a general Dr. and find out what to do next. I am still going to the beach in June. My sister went in with me (moms was with Dad) and was mad I didn't have to have surgery b/c she wanted me to go to the beach with them. DM said I was still going.:goodvibes I am going to see my grandmother and get an update tomarrow.

Lisa - what bag will my HP 17 inch laptop fit in? I am having a hard time finding one that suits me....

I hope your gma is doing well...

while I was home I found out my uncle was in the hospital with diverticulitius...I KNOW the spelling is wrong....he's only a couple years older than John, after asking around at work I found that it most often develops into colon cancer. :(

Nan, I think Molly's hair is beautiful like her back style, and suit her, she will get easy to do it and easy dryer it too

Nan, I understand how you feel but i think short is suit her. You will be fine later.

Same with my daughter that she had a long hair then she want cut it off to short, I was very upset because her hair alway messy. Now she have shorter hair and suit her, more easy to comb her hair. Now she is going to hairdresser this Sat to get shorter, oh well that what she want.:rolleyes1

Molly look very happy.

Scottishwee35:hug:

Yes she is happy about the hair cut, not sure how the drying and styling will go, she isn't one to fuss or care for her hair in the least. Hoping this cut will change that. She isn't happy about doing her homework, so tonight we are having a blow out about that. :sad2:

Tammy-I can't imagine, how awful. I'm glad you and the kids are able to go on this cruise. I have no words to express how I feel.....:grouphug:

Was wondering why the thread was growing like wildfire......an awful lot of Molly's pictures were copied into replies....

yup, sorry if that was too much for some of you, but her mom of course loved it!:rotfl:

Hey Lillygator, I have diverticulitus also. It is a mild version. I think that they can correct it with surgery if it is very bad. Many people have it but never have symptoms, so they don't know. They can watch him and do regular cancer screenings and he might never have any really serious side effects like cancer. But I am not a medical doctor or nurse, just what I have found out since I have discussed it with several doctors.
