photobucket is taking a long time. My sister looked like a lobster, she came here to Siesta Key yesterday and got FRIED....too much refreshing beverages I think.

Yes, that is correct.

I am kind of in a jam with HP . . . like Kelly mentioned, Goblet is a bit heavy, and the following books are more adult in theme too . . . but . . . Sophia is REALLY engaged with HP. All she talks about is the books, and how many chapters can I read tonight?

She wants more, more, more.

I guess we will keep slogging on - anyone with kids been through this with an 8 year old and have any thoughts? Sophia is very mature for her age, but she also gets spooked pretty easily (but loves HP).

The more you guys talk about the PC crossing and getting to see anything, the more I told Amy I feel like sleeping in. The talk of pushiness, the pirating of chairs late at night - jeesh! I'm the kind of person who will give up my spot for children, and does not even like waiting for the parade at WDW because of the pushiness.

With the great number of adults on this cruise and the anticipation of less children - I just wonder how much regard some of those adults will have for young children. I don't need my blood pressure to go up if they start pushing my little girl . . . I guess I wish that DCL could reserve an area for kids where they could be safe.

I know I am blabbing on and on about this, but it is really a bummer to hear what those of you who were on the last one are saying. Guess I was hoping for more of a "Disney" experience, and forgot that bad human nature will probably prevail. Maybe I'll just watch through the porthole window in our room.

John, I am pretty sure I know where you can watch all day long. Of course, you know how I feel about kids i.e. my little issue with the mean lady in the store incident.

I don't deal with pushy. DD went to several easter egg hunts when she was really little and she is so shy by the time she even tried, everything was gone and she would just cry.

My response, my company now does one for all of the employees children and our entire goal is to fill every basket until there is not any room left. NO ONE leaves our easter egg hunt without an overflowing easter basket, slow kids, fast kids, shy kids and agressive kids. We have a lot of happy parents when we do this every year.

Take a deep breath! Remember to exhale and breathe, it will all be fine. It can be overwhelming and natural for you to feel like retreating but your friends won't let you retreat. We will come find you. Don't worry about the picking up the gift I will get them all! I was feeling the same way until I remember how well everything went last year and I had a really great time. :) Please don't do anything stupid like CANCEL the trip!

No prob with the gifts. Thats stuff I can do before. I would never cancel. I was just trying to figure our all of the things I had signed up to do on board and my schedule started to look very full with no sun time or me time. Thats what I meant. I can't wait to go on vacation! I am totally OCD girl, I need to know what the plan is, whats happening before etc. It's a serious flaw! Causes bunches of stress for my friends and family. For example, I am currently booking playdates for my daughter in june/july. Which is totally crazy. BUt I have to have a plan. Even for easter, I resigned that I am going to be with my uncle and grandma, but I made my brother call my uncle to coordinate, cause my uncle is very wishy washy and never has a solid timeline etc. I can't stand talking to him and planning things with him because of that huge flaw (to me). Heck half the time we make plans, he brings grandma hours later than expected or we arrive at their house and they are not even THERE! cause they needed to go to costco to get food for the day! Drives me nuts! Ok, now that I've scared everyone, back to regular scheduled dissing...

Kim, so proud of all the hard work that Savannah put in this year! And the whole family as well.

I will be wandering on PC day, I don't do the crowds so well. When I go to WDW it is almost always during slower times of year. Is there viewing on Deck 4 on the running track or is the front of the ship completely closed off around the front, I have only walked around the back end of the ship.

Thanks PJ! I think I may need a valium if we have too many more competitions like this. The scary thing is the older kids moms tell me it only gets worse. I saw one of the adult skaters slide into the wall and hit her head yesterday and from 2-4 a.m. this morning I had this same vision of DD. Not a good night. I think it is just me, I shouldn't be so high strung.

Way to go Savannah!! Hopefully there will be some competitions in FL!

ooh, we will have to find one! John, what year did you say the sectionals were in Cinci?

After talking to her coach, we think she will be at regionals in 2009. She will only be 9, so she will be in one of the lower levels, we may just attend the sectionals to watch so she can get a flavor and although that probably won't be our sectionals, it would be fun to see you guys too! So was it the 2008 sectionals or 2009?

Anyone else planning on music?

Welike all of your choices. Of course we're bringing Patrick and Chuck's Zunes. They have LOTS of CD's on them. We downloaded ALL of Patrick's 700 CD's onto his Zune, and Chuck just copied his. Also we got a really neat speaker/charger for the Zune. We might bring that, too.

Patrick LOVES his music! Yesterday I took him to St. Cloud to a street party. They closed a block downtown in front of O'Dougherty's pub and put up a stage and everyone sat in lawn chairs and listened to the music, drinking beer from the VFW or the beer garden. :drinking1 :dancer: Fun!

Today we went to Pleasure Island where Seven Nations were playing on the WaterFront Stage. Tomorrow we are going to Raglan Road for St. Patrick's Day. :rockband:

We've been partying all weekend! party:

There are a total of 7 cabins that said they're gifting but weren't sure if they'd have a FE. there are 16 cabins that aren't sure if they'll have a FE. 9 of those are cabins who said "don't know" to gifting and "don't know" to FE.
:goodvibes
IF ANYBODY DOESN'T HAVE A FISH EXTENDER, BUT WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ONE, JUST PM ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU ONE.

Share the tips, how can one put themselves in position to be chosen for this honor?

Pj

Go to the Main Street Station and ask one of the conductors. That's it - super easy.

We actually got on the train with this car in New Orleans. We asked the conductor there and he told us that car can only be boarded at Main Street. So we rode around to Main Street and asked and got to go right in - 6 others rode with us and we had our own conductor who sat with us and gave us some background info. Very interesting and a lot of fun.

Thanks Lisa, I love getting to hear CMs talk about WDW, and this sounds like a great way to learn a little bit of history about DL.
