Just looking at this on Amazon. No reviews there, but I do see that the Pentax takes standard Pentax lenses. That seems different from others, where the lenses for the digital lines are not the same as the film lines.

Yes, apparently ALL Pentax lenses fit ALL models of their cameras. Just some won't be able to use all of their features. Which makes sense for the older lenses on newer bodies. I'm in the process of trying to learn what all the different "codes" mean on all the different Pentax Lenses to see what I can shop on Ebay for. I saw some pretty cheap lenses on there, but just not sure if they are fully manual lenses for my camera or what. LOTS and LOTS of reading to do still!

The K200D JUST came out. In fact, it is hardly in any stores as of yet. Australia seems to have been the first place to get it. My store got it on Saturday and I bought it on Tuesday.

Jolene -

I love the pic of Mushu! I think it would be such a neat experience to carry a joey around in a pouch. :lovestruc So is it actually ok to have a roo as a pet? Where is he now? Seeing a pic of a roo and a koala when I was 7 yrs old started my love affair w/ Australia.

How are things going? Hopefully calming down some for you.

Hi Monica,

In the state we lived in, you have to apply for a permit to the NatR department. It is no big deal and was very cheap and easy to do. My parents were coming for a visit and I wanted a pet roo to show them. Well, um, a friend was hunting and brought him back for me (shall say no more about that).
I fed him every 4 hours like a baby with special milk powder mixed in a bottle. When I would let him out to stretch or "use the facilities", to get back in his pouch, he would do a back-flip in it and wiggle his head back up to the top so he could peek out.
I had to give him to a neighbor later, as we traveled quite a bit and couldn't find reliable babysitters! Later, I heard he died :guilty:

Things are good here, getting so excited about the trip! How are things in yoru neck of the woods?

Jolene

Well, now there's something we don't see every day!

Anyone else staying at POR the night before our cruise and taking the DCL bus to PC? :surfweb:

We will be your neighbours there - we are at the POFQ and taking the DCL bus. However, we are going to the Pirate and Princess Party at MK on the night of the 9th.

I'm with you - I hate my laptop bag. I was thinking of getting something like the Lowepro Computrekker bag that supposedly will fit my camera gear AND the latptop - but just not sure if I am wanting to buy yet another bag and then worried that in the parks the bag will be too big for just my camera gear. I have a Lowepro Slingshot 100AW for the camera gear and it seems to fit my needs perfectly. I can put my dSLR in it, my video camera sits in one pouch inside and my underwater camera fits in another plus lots of room for batteries and the like. It is all snug but works. The Computrekker, take the laptop out and I'm not so sure it isn't too big. Plus I like the idea of the slingshot for ease of putting the camera in and out for going on rides and such.

As for going through the airport. I'm not proud I'll grab one of those carts. It was an absolute must for us in 2006 at Seatac.

Too scary my cousin Laurie that lives in Keizer now lived that same area growing up. You guys will have a lot to talk about on the ship.

We did meet a DISer who not only lived in our neighborhood 20 some years ago, but was very good friends with the older sister of our DD's high school sweetheart. He is one of our DIS friends that we have stayed connected with. We may know some mutual people with your cousin as well. It is a Small Disney World.

I am trying to figure out if I should bring my laptop along with us. Hopefully I will not be doing any work on the trip as I should be getting an extension on my current contract to take me past when we come back from the trip. I was planning on using it to store and edit the many pictures I'll be taking, as well as using it as a DVD player for Liam's favourite TV show - Corner Gas. :happytv:

Anyone else bringing one along?

We like Cornor Gas too. It is funny

Seriously - lost passport???

There are places here that engage in expiditing passports - of course you pay, but it would be worth it at this point....

Yup lost his passport. We are going to go get it replaced tomarrow. We think its in the house somewhere but can't find it. I will search when I get home tonight.

Did anyone hear about this???

http://www.wftv.com/news/15592397/detail.html

I didn't stay up for the news last night...someone at work brought this to my attention this morning.....we'll have to see what this is about.

I heard this on another website. It sounds cool but the animals they are considering are mean in the wild. Can you really tame a hippo. I would love to see a giraffes and feed them but can do that at Bush Gardens too. I think Sea World and Bush Garden beat them to it on this.

I have much to share about the Field Trip I went on today with Molly's class. We sailed out of Jack London Square, Oakland in a replica ship that first came around the Cape Horn The Lady Washingtonhttp://historicalseaport.org/web/index.html

I've got to get my pictures accessible between my laptop and desktop and start sharing them...
WOW! What an awesome field trip! How long was the boat ride?

And I'm getting a headache... :upsidedow

Is there going to be a way to know if there are more than one party in a cabin??? I def. want to give for each!!!

Hopefully each family that is participating will have some kind of FE out for the gifts to be placed in. That would make it easier to not miss anyone.

Good Morning All - Overslept again - hate this DST adjustment.....

As for cameras - I still use film.....Honest.

I was cranky yesterday. Grumped at DrHug a couple of times last night. He was as always patient with me. Hopefully another week and I will be adjusted.

A quick question about Online Check in.

When can I start to do it? I am in there right now and it doesn't seem to be allowing me to do anything - for instance where it asks for citizenship it just says "Select One" and the drop down box is empty.

Am I not supposed to be filling it out quite yet?

Ahhh - too bad.....I guess I will need to paint this weekend and daydream about all the good times to come on the Magic!!!

I need to get our well water tested today and then paint the laundry room. The folks that are interested in our house want to look again at 10:30 tomorrow morning, then will let us know by 3:30 if they are going to accept our counter offer. We are a little excited, a little nervous. The offer requires closing by April 14 and us to be out by the 19th. Lots of work to do that in a short time. But, if it is God's plan then we can get it done!

well, John's passport says it has been mailed so we should see it either tomorrow or Monday I would think....one more thing x'd off. Still have to figure out how to get home from Tampa as now our flight comes in at 10 pm....

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
DH and are at 55 days on our count down. And Oh so much still to do.

Monica, how is the CPAP going?

At this moment it isn't....I've had a stuffy nose for the last week & 1/2 so haven't used it. Hope to start back up this weekend.
