4.30am sounds early enough to me. You could earn your cruise spends by doing laundry for others every morning!!!
All I can say is THE CABINS NEAR OR ACROSS FROM LAUNDRY ROOM IS THE WORST ROOM ON THE SHIP!!!!! 24 HOURS PER DAY OF SMELL, HEAT AND ACTION.... however if you wanted to start a business to pay for your cruise and do others laundry.
Jackie, Iwas looking at Deb T website and saw your photo there of 2005 look great photo!!

I have some practical questions about doing laundry on the ship.
We have only done 4-night cruises before, so this was never an issue.
Where are the machines located? Are there good times / bad times to do laundry? How late are the laundry rooms open?
We're only intending to pack for a week, and I'm hell bent about not over packing (he says, already planning on packing tails and a white dinner jacket).
So, any sudsy advice would be most appreciated.
. That stated I do not know if there are any restrictions on brands or types due to the water processing plant on the ship....I'll wait for other responses....
How early is early? I normally get up at about 4:30 every morning. Does anyone know how early is early and how late is late?
You can't eat citrus with Lipitor? What else don't I know? Did I not read my label closely enough?

The only tip I have is to pack some of your favourite dryer sheets and/or laundry detergent. I am slightly allergic to some brands and the vending machines do not sell all types. Do your laundry on the 3rd or 4th day because the 7th day is a zoo and you can't get in until the 10th day. Do laundry on port days, although many others have figured this out too. We do laundry at 2am, it works well for us.
Ah, sorry - it doesnot sound like it was intentional....Maybe you could cover with an Easter Bunny story about the Big Surprise....how about hiding plastic Easter eggs with all sorts of clues - and you could be the one really surprised????? Just a thought -not sure the ages of your kids. Poor Nanny - sounds like she just does not understand.
But hey, (not the same thing at all) but I have had adults spoil Surprise Parties and other surprises and LIVID just was not the word to use....They have no language barriers - they just "wanted to tell".

I consider 4:30am late not early(I only see that time of day from staying up not getting up...)
I had someone ruin a Surprise baby shower because "they weren't going to be there and wanted to see her surprise"![]()
you're going to make me cry, I'm in those rooms...
Whatever time you do choise to do laundry, remember that you can call room service from the phone on the wall and they will deliver cookies and milk to help make your time there pass easier.

when all else fails demand supervisor, also go to there corp site and post an e-mail to someone higher up it would have taken less time. And maybe got some action. Customer service reps are there to waste your time since they are low paid buffers, for the company. skip them as soon as you find they are not accomadating or even listening. So, today I discovered that my flight from oak to mco has dropped in price by $80.00 per ticket...OMG...so I call US Airways (or criminials as they have now been renamed by me) and it's a $100 per ticket change fee to get the lower fare. NOW, I read the contract and it states there is a $100 fee to change: flight, date or cancel....none of which I want to do, but they state that they have to "re-issue" the ticket and that is where the change come in. I did point out that my flight time has changed and they re-issued me a new tix then and didn't charge me $100 per tix. Oh, well...that was because we made the change. My next statemet...well you're making the change again, because YOU dropped the price, I didn't! So after an hour yelling at someone I am sure could care less..I just hung up! SO FRUSTRATING...that could have been my disneyland $$. SUX
On the other side..if anyone hasn't bought their tix...Oak to MCO overnight on the 7th...$99 per tix plus tax...not a bad price for one way!
What time would you like breakfast?
Linda - you did have a few DISers out there to greet you and we tried to make as much of a ruckus as we could - honking horns, balloons, etc. I guess there just wasn't enough of us. The captain did sound the horn for us though.
We were on the cruise leaving that day and the luggage problem extended into delayed boarding for us. However, by the end of our cruise they had figured out how to speed it up. So hopefully they will still remember what they learned and everything will go smoothly this time around.
We have a similiar list except I'm leaving my Lipitor at home. I miss grapefruit!!! So I asked my doctor if I could stop taking it so I can eat grapefruit on the cruise and she agreed so I will stop taking it one week before we leave!!!
aew, that's too bad! I had a fun thing happen a few weeks ago....a mom and dad came up to me at the Boardwalk and they were going on the cruise that day. They did the Land and Sea package, BUT THEIR 2 BOYS DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE CRUSE. THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING HOME! I don't know how they kept it from them! Anyway, I walked over to them with maps of the ship and told them I worked for Disney cruise line, and I asked them if they would ever like to go on a cruise. Of course they said yes, and so I told them they were going that very day in about a half an hour! The older one was about 10 or 11 and the younger one about 8 or 9. They were amazing! They laughed and laughed, and we all had to have our pictures tken together, and they got to be the first family on the motocoach to the port!
