how can this happen?

I don't know, but last year the same thing happened to a bunch of us on the TA cruise and when I called, they acted like I was nuts telling them that my excursions had disappeared and that obviously I must not have booked them.

Went home, got my confirmation numbers, called back the next day, when they said "they had a computer problem" and everything for everyone was being reinstated.

The only reason I thought to check was because someone said a bunch of Palo reservations opened up and the exact same thing happened a year ago for the TA.

ooooh, Linda

The powerful knowledge you have. I would be checking my excursions too, since they are for me and Angie/Dennis, but don't have my ressie# with me. No Palo here, couldn't get a table way back when, now it is in the hands of fate for the private room.

I have finally gotten a Palo dinner reservation. Not on our anniversary, but we are good with the time and date. Thanks to all that posted ressies were available.

There are several nights available at Palos now.

Not to rain on any Palo parades, but

Linda, could the openings at Palo be the result of a similar computer clitch as happened for the TA cruisers last year? Therefore causing double bookings, when orginal bookings might be re-instated?

Hi everyone! Now that many of you GTY (lifeboaters) folks are getting your cabins assigned, be sure to PM me so that I can add your cabin number to the master list. We want the wonderful FE gifts to get to those of you that FEs!!!

Linda (seaulater)-I emailed you an updated version of the master list a few days ago to the email addy you provided me...just want to make sure you got it. If no, please PM me with an email addy that I can sent it to.

Thanks!

Just went into my email and picked it up! Thanks for the update. :cutie:

Was just going to ask the same question. I hope people haven't lost their ressies.

Those are adorable! Now if they would float you could bring them to the ship and enter that contest!

Should we have a meeting of the Friends of Johns and Lisas, that should get all of us there.

Pj

Well, if I put that in the mini-nav, that could be pretty interesting.....

For you DSLR people -

would you purchase a 18-135mm lense for less $(about $200), 18-200mm for about $450, or a 18-250mm for about $550?

Is it a waste to buy the 18-135mm? Am looking for my "daily" lens.

TIA!

Well for my first lens I bought the 18-250mm as my daily lens. I paid $529 CDN for it. (Pentax). I'm not regretting it. I am trying to find a 50mm f1.4 for rides and night shots though...

Well, it wouldn't be the first time, nor the last. It's hard to believe that all of a sudden out of the blue a bunch of Palo's opened up and that the Outdoor Adventure opened back up and my excursion was gone but then I rebooked so I'm okay again. If I couldn't have fixed it, I would have called DCL.

Great decorating jobs!! Those look fantastic! The cars look really nice too! ;)

Well, I hadn't noticed that many of us lifeboaters were getting cabins assigned actually, but we're always hopeful!!! We will certainly be telling the whole world and PM'ing you!!!!:lmao:

There's been a few of you...cquick just posted they got their cabin #! I'll keep rooting for you guys to get out of the lifeboats! Hey, think of it this way, you'll have an excellent view of the canal from the lifeboats...you may even luck out with a valuable souvie, scraped off the canal wall.....eek!

John, I am pretty sure I know where you can watch all day long. Of course, you know how I feel about kids i.e. my little issue with the mean lady in the store incident.

I don't deal with pushy. DD went to several easter egg hunts when she was really little and she is so shy by the time she even tried, everything was gone and she would just cry.

My response, my company now does one for all of the employees children and our entire goal is to fill every basket until there is not any room left. NO ONE leaves our easter egg hunt without an overflowing easter basket, slow kids, fast kids, shy kids and agressive kids. We have a lot of happy parents when we do this every year.

That is great your company is able to provide a fun for all environment instead of a wild free for all one. :thumbsup2

I think I have 55 - 90 mm not sure I will ask my husband as realised that wrong len that we bought it last year for europe. Now I am looking for 18 to 55 mm!

DH has been wanting to get up in time for the Friends of Bill W meeting, but stays up all night reading. Maybe he could get to the Friends of John or Friends of Lisa. He may like them better... hope they don't serve cocktails at those meetings. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Made my Palo res, was hoping for a Brunch, but will take a dinner --

Maybe someone who has a brunch wants to trade? The wife REALLY wants a brunch - just about any at sea day would do.

Still waiting for a room number???
