Most people have basements that I know.

I guess I just assumed that in the South, like Florida, most homes were built without basements. Should have thought it has more to do with the soil and water table probably . . . Stay safe regardless.

I can't believe he said that you should quit school what bad advice...they obviously don't know their job. In high school I had a counselor tell me that I shouldn't go to college I got accepted to all the universities I applied to except one...they wanted me to retake my SAT's(I'm a horrible test taker) not only did I go to college I graduated (all my roomates from the dorms flunked out)and was very involved in school politics and relations and then had a career as a human resource manager in medical until choosing to set my career aside and be a full time mom. It was not easy to go through all those classes and jump the requirement hoops but with hard work it could be done. They should not be discouraging students but encouraging them that they could do it and help/guide them...and you can do it Jill hang in there and petition and play their game your almost there

BTW did you get the vacuum? we have a kirby and I hate it! it is so heavy. DH bought it when we first got married and I thought he was nuts to pay that much for a vacuum so his deal was he would be the one doing the carpets for the duration of the vacuum. Eleven years later its still here...can't wait until it kicks the bucket so we could get a lighter vacuum


we are not big fans of crowds ourselves so we'll have to play it by ear what we'll do....still hoping to get upgraded from a window to a balcony so we could watch on our own balcony while eating room service we didn't really have much of a choice when we booked and all they had were GTYs.

I will finish school. I am going to the UTK next. You need to have a 4yr degree to be an Imagineer.

I did get my vaccum but can't use it till April 3rd (my birthday). It is the purple dyson Animal with the ball. It is heavy though. When we get it out we are going to pour Nesquick in the floor to see if it picks it up. If it does it will stay and be named, if not it will go back.

Hey V, BTW . . . I went by the post quickly, but, you do know that our Geek group has transportation from the ship to the hotel - right? I think you posted about taking the shuttle to the hotel - did you mean the airport?

Have a get lost plan (that sounded funny huh?) if someone gets lost from the other, met at a certain location on the hour or half hour or have drink and forget about it.... BTW, I hate being lost from my group. As a kid I clung to my mom to avoid this. To this day I freak when I loose the kids or Paul, even out of eyesite, just makes me crazy.

My mom and I do this in the mall all the time... I'm the wanderer so we sort of have this thing that if we lose each other (since she's short and petite...) we head to the main aisle and stay there until the other shows up (or until the store closes.... )

How are we going to call for room service? Do the lifeboats have phones?

Just changed that plan, and I think it stinks. No other hotels do this, it's just crazy and a money grab.

The deck 7 aft and deck 8 aft rooms have these wonderful verandahs that wrap around to the back of the ship, you could get at least 20 people on them. I think I have pictures somewhere!

As a Geek this is the first time I have ever been refered to as part of an "IN" group! But, yes limited room in the vehicle, so not all 300+ can ride with the Geeks.

If it is your birthday, when at CA at the tortilla factory they will give a whole package of their tortillas if you have a birthday pin. You can get the birthday pin at guest relations or any shop by the front entrance. The tortillas are well worth it! Have a Happy Birthday! Heather

My sister emailed me this morning telling me that she was getting us tickets to LA with the cheapie flights on Southwest

Paul heard us talking about the dates and he said, take her on HER BIRTHDAY and I'll pay for the flight. Seems he was totally stressed out about the plan to be racing with Wilson on MY BIRTHDAY.

We are going 3/27-3/31.

Now I had to tell my triplette other sisters that I got a better offer (I knew they'd release me and let me be stinky on this just this once) turns out Marr is going the week before during their spring break, so she will extend and see us too

ok steph it's only fair, you started it...

gotta work on hotel tomorrow. wanna stay on property.

I'm so excited, this will be the first time I've been at Dland on my real birthday...(been right before and right after)

I never use the web for ressies for Dland Hotel, just call. I've found the web more costly. How much is your room at GC?
