Have you tried Blue Lizard Sensitive Skin? I use Netorgena on my face as its the only one that doesn't burn my eyes. Dh uses Blue Lizard as the coverage is great and he gets sun poisoning easily.
I've never even seen Blue Lizard. But we ended up getting Aveeno. :thumbsup2

watching AI missed a 1/2hr but will rewind.
now I am worried about Cabo....was the flipped boat ok - as far as people go?

the report I read said everyone was fine

I'm sorry I've made you nervous about Cabo, try googling kids and water taxis or read more at the tripadvisor site and see how you feel about it.

I'm off to book club, am leaving DH to work on packing.

Makes your skin shiny and smooth! Love it.

Okee dokee...thanks!

But don't do it right after shaving your legs!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Ouch!

Do you get pedicures? If so do you know the scrub they use on your legs to get rid of dry skin and soften your skin? It has salt it the solution. They rub your entire body in it and then you take a shower and they oil you down. I love them but can only afford a few a year.

No, I've never had a pedicure. Great description of the salt scrub, thanks! :thumbsup2

Busy & tiring day. Tyler's girlfriend Celes and her mom came over so the kids could play outside. She's been dying to go for a ride in his firetruck. ;) Fun because it was such a beautiful day! It hit 70 degrees, so the kids had sweaty hair from playing so hard and us moms were hot too, but it felt good not to be cold. :thumbsup2

will they physically close? They took all the tickets and DD's out already and everything has the large %off stickers on it and all sales are final.

From what I understand, they are only buying back certain stores, not all of them.

Yeah, what Susie said!

But don't do it right after shaving your legs!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Nor do you hit the ocean right after. Made that mistake my first trip to Florida! :headache:

The work day is over. ONLY TWO MORE TO GO. The bosses are out for the rest of the week (though they may be nagging via Blackberry). My team-mate says she doesn't care what time I leave ThursdayBLESS HER HEART!

I am TIRED! Just doing an errand (kitten supplies) on the way home and vegging for the rest of the night. OOOOPS, forgot need to straighten up a big for Cheri's arrival (no matter what she says) then I'm just going to sit and stare into space for a while. :upsidedow

....later kids.....

.

Tyler is sad about us missing the Mother's Tea in his class Friday afternoon because he'll be leaving a half hour before it starts. The kids made a special present for their moms and have been practicing a poem & song to do for the moms that day. So I told him he & Celes can do the song & poem in the car for her mom and me on the way to Detroit (they're our ride) and he'll give me the gift in the car. I asked his teacher if she could wrap it in something for him to take in his suitcase to give me on Mother's Day, but she told me it's glass, so we won't want to take it with us. It will stay in the car. :lovestruc  I told him it's really OK because we'll be in paradise on Mother's Day and he can sing me the songs again that day! :thumbsup2

Tyler's teacher asked me again today how many days he'll be gone. Then I asked her if I was supposed to give the school something in writing about his vacation because all I did was just tell his teacher quite some time ago. Oops! Anyway, she told me no, there's nothing I have to do but tell her. She asked, "Did you think you'd need to ask permission to take your kid on a cool trip?" ;) Glad they make it easy! Especially since he's already missed 7 days of school this year. Oh well.......the school year is almost over anyway.

OK, I'm rambling, I think because I'm tired. SO......headed off to read in bed until I fall asleep. :thumbsup2

My kids are 7 and 11. When you take the water taxi to Medano or other hotel it is water/beach exit, at the Marina you get on at the dock. It can be wavy and rough and you have to wade in. I just read a report about a taxi flipping over in the last two weeks and cameras, etc getting ruined. I also think that the charge is per person, so it may end up costing more than a good old land taxi. Again it is personal preference, but not worth the dunking risk or kids overboard to me.

FYI...when we were in Cabo in 2005 with DCL we took a water taxi with our kids (then 3 and 7) and we were taken to a dock, no wading in. It was about $10-15 for the 4 of us. They also made the kids wear life vests, not sure if all the water taxis have that policy. Anyway, it didn't feel unsafe at all, otherwise we wouldn't have done it. But I agree, each person has to decide what they feel comfortable with. Having done it once, I feel confident and am not worried. We enjoyed our time on Medano but we did go early, so we had our pick of chairs to "rent" and found a good spot, not too crowded. The vendors were present but I think we were only hit about half a dozen times. By the way, the water in Cabo was the coldest of all the Mexico beaches we visited that summer. It was FREEZING!!!

Thanks for the info. Where did you go that you needed a water taxi?

Drew's sad about missing his also. He's been practicing for days and it seems like it would be so cute...they're doing a show and the whole thing. Oh, well, can't win them all. I asked him if he would rather go on the cruise or do the tea...he said the cruise....so at least he has his priorities straight!

Brooke is sad too about the same thing but when I asked her if she would rather go on the cruise or mother's tea, she said the tea :scared1:

To Medano Beach. In Cabo the ship is tendered so you take a boat from the ship to a dock. We took a water taxi from there to get to where the beach is...and then we walked to a spot we on the beach that we preferred. We walked for a while though.

Exactly! I told him what's most important is that we'll be together that day. :thumbsup2

They aren't any beaches to take a cab or walk to? We wanted to do the beach a little but really wanted to walk around downtown. Maybe half and half. Is there any beaches like that?

Gaylean...you need to set that girl straight!!! :lmao:

She is missing a lot so I really feel bad :upsidedow Girl Scouts is going to the aquarium and holding a mother's day tea. Her class is putting on the show at the assembly at school. To top it all off, her best friend from pre-school came by today and invited her to a birthday party. They were really close and Brooke doesn't have another friend like that in her class yet. She will see how much fun it is. I'm sure she won't even know it's mother's day :rolleyes1
